Tom Cruise's 'Mission Impossible 7' Makes A Roaring Debut With Critics' Reviews; List of The Top-Rated 'Mission: Impossible' Movies

Los Angeles, July 5 - After creating records with his last film "Top Gun: Maverick", Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is getting ready to conquer the box office again with his upcoming action thriller "Mission: Impossible - Death Reckoning Part 1". It is releasing on July 12 in the US and some other countries. ## Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, "MI 7" is projected to score $90 million in its opening weekend at the domestic (North America) box office, which will be the record in the "Mission Impossible" franchise. Those projections seem to have got sealed and it could potentially open higher after the movie debuts with raving reviews from critics. ## Just a week ahead of the film's release, the review embargo got lifted and the movie opens the perfect 100% score from the first 54 critics' reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a rare feat for a live-action tentpole movie. It currently has a 99% score from 136 reviews, the highest in the franchise. ## The ratings might change after more critics review the movie, but the initial response has almost confirmed that it will be among the top-rated live-action Hollywood blockbusters. Los Angeles, July 1 - Filmmakers Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" and Christopher Nolan's Atomic bomb drama "Oppenheimer" are two of the most anticipated Hollywood movies releasing this summer. What is more intriguing is that both movies are coming on the same day (July 21), indulging in one of the most epic box office battles in recent times. ## In the early box office projections, revealed yesterday (June 30), "Barbie" is tracking to open much bigger than "Oppenheimer". According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. romantic comedy film, based on the iconic Mattel toy line of dolls, is expected to score between $70 million and $80 million in the domestic (North America) opening weekend. ## "Barbie" stars Margot Robbie in the titular role and Ryan Gosling as Ken alongside an ensemble supporting cast that includes America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell. The official premise of the movie states, "After being expelled from the utopian Barbie Land for being a less-than-perfect doll, Barbie and Ken go on a journey of self-discovery to the real world".## Nolan's biographical thriller film "Oppenheimer" is tracking for a domestic debut in the $40 million - $50 million range. If the movie opens in the lower projection, it would be one of the lowest openings for Nolan's film. However, the movie could have long legs as reports say it is one of the finest movies ever made. ## "Oppenheimer" is Nolan's first film not to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures domestically or internationally since "Memento" (2000), as well as his first film to receive an R rating since "Insomnia" (2002). Given the R rating and a direct clash with an equally strong film, the opening between $40 million and $50 million is not that bad for this Universal Pictures pic. ## The movie is about J. Los Angeles, June 22 - Sony Pictures' animated comic-book superhero movie Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is having a spectacular run at the box office, be it domestically or overseas as it has topped $500 million globally. ## The sequel to 2018's "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse" has so far grossed $290.4 million in North America. It is the third highest-grossing of the year, behind Universal's "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" ($572 million) and Marvel/Disney's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" ($345 million). ## internationally, it has scored $215.9 million so far, which brings its worldwide tally to a mighty $506.3 million. It is the 4th biggest worldwide grosser after "Super Mario" ($1.3 billion), "GoTG3" ($822 million), and "Fast X" ($679 million). ## The movie opened at $208.6 million globally, including $120.5 million at the domestic box office. Mumbai, June 18 - Warner Bros. and DC Studios superhero flick The Flash couldn't generate speed at the box office as it scored a low opening weekend worldwide, extending the DC Extended Universe's woes. ## Warner Bros. left no stone unturned to hype up "The Flash" as one of the greatest superhero movies of all time but the movie failed to live up to those sky-high expectations. It grossed just $55 million over a 3-day opening weekend domestically (North America). ## "The Flash" opened lower than Dwayne Johnson's "Black Adam" ($67 million) late last year, making it one of the worst openings for a DCEU movie. It even opened below studios' already conservative $70M-$75M 3-day expectations.## At the international box office, "The Flash" scored $75 million over 68 markets for a $130 million global start. Los Angeles, June 18 - Sony Pictures' animated superhero movie Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse has turned out to be a huge blockbuster for the studio and has already surpassed the entire worldwide box office collection of the first film. ## The latest sequel has so far grossed over $426 million at the global box office, much ahead of "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse" which grossed $384 million in its entire run in 2018. Sony Pictures Revealed The Release Date of Tom Holland's 'Spider-Man 4'?

Disney Reshuffles Release Dates of Entire Marvel Slate and Delays Avatar Sequels

Los Angeles, June 13 - Disney is shaking up its release calendar, including the entire Marvel slate along with James Cameron's "Avatar" movies and adding a new "Star Wars" movie and "Moana" live-action adaptation to the schedule, according to Variety.## Cameron's "Avatar" franchise will reach its conclusion in 2031 with a fifth film, 22 years after the original 2009 blockbuster. As per the new Disney release calendar, "Avatar 3" has shifted to December 2025, followed by "Avatar 4" to December 2029, and "Avatar 5" to December 2031. ## Among its high-profile release slate, Disney has added up a live-action "Moana" film for June 2025, debut, and an untitled "Star Wars" movie on December 2026. ## Meanwhile, the studio has reshuffled the entire Marvel slate. Los Angeles, June 7 - Filmmaker Zack Snyder is currently working on his next film Rebel Moon, an epic space adventure about a young woman who is trying to save her community from imminent destruction. The movie, boasting a solid cast, will hit Netflix on December 22 this year. ## "Rebel Moon" is the most anticipated Netflix film and the good news is, Snyder will split it into two parts, along with two cuts (including a director's cut).
