Kangana Ranaut Roped In To Play Sita In Alaukik Desai's Magnum Opus Sita: The Incarnation

Mumbai, September 14, 2021: After months of speculations, writer-director Alaukik Desai's dream project, the magnum opus "Sita: The Incarnation" has brought the supremely talented and national award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut on board to play the role of Sita. ## Ever since the movie was announced, there were a lot of talks about who will play the role of divine soul 'Sita' in this multilingual magnum opus feature film. Earlier, the names like Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were surfaced for the title role but none was confirmed. ## Alaukik Desai took to Twitter and announced Kangana on board for this mammoth role. Kangana symbolizes the spirit & essence of the Indian woman - fearless, daunting & daring... It's time we stepped in to celebrate equality in every respect". ## The script of "Sita: The Incarnation" has been written by the 'Baahubali' writer KV Vijayendra Prasad and Desai, and it is one of the most ambitious projects in progress. The dialogues and lyrics have been penned by Manoj Muntashir while Saloni Sharma and Anshita Desai will produce this film under the banner of SS Studio. Riteish Deshmukh And Fardeen Khan To Reunite In Sanjay Gupta's 'Visfot', The Hindi Remake Of Venezuelan Film Rock Paper Scissors

Mumbai, September 14, 2021: Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Fardeen Khan, who were last seen together in "Heyy Babyy", will be reuniting after 14 years in filmmaker Sanjay Gupta's next. The film, titled "Visfot" is the official Hindi remake of the 2012 Venezuelan film "Rock Paper Scissors". ## The Sanjay Gupta production, "Visfot", will mark Fardeen Khan's comeback in movies after nearly a decade. He was last seen in Mudassar Aziz's 2010 romantic-comedy, Dulha Mil Gaya. In "Visfot", the actor will reportedly be seen playing the role of a taxi driver and an ex-drug dealer while Deshmukh will play a commercial airline pilot. ## The film is said to be revolving around Khan's character who kidnaps Deshmukh's son by mistake, which will unleash a chain of delicate events that'll be tragic for everyone involved. Mumbai, September 13, 2021: In a big development, two of India's biggest production houses, T-Series and Reliance Entertainment have joined hands to produce a slate of films over the next 2-3 years. During this period, the two companies will jointly produce more than 10 films across different genres that include big-budget tentpoles as well as mid and small-budget content-rich films. ## The two studios have worked together on the music marketing front for more than 100 films. And now, they will jointly be venturing into film production and will be investing over INR 1000 crores over the course of the next 24 to 36 months. ## The extensive line-up of films is in various stages of development which includes Hindi remakes of Tamil blockbuster drama and action thrillers, a mega historic biopic, espionage thriller, courtroom drama, satire comedy, romance drama, and a film based on shocking true events, amongst others.## Given the pace of the developments, confirmed alignments with some of India’s biggest stars, four to five films will have a comfortable big-screen release worldwide, starting next year-2022. The Hindi Remake Of Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru' Gets Clearance To Go-Ahead By Madras High Court

Chennai, September 8, 2021: Earlier in July this year, Suriya starrer critically acclaimed and widely appreciated Tamil film, Soorarai Pottru was confirmed to be remade in Hindi. Suriya's 2D Entertainment joined hands with Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment to produce the Hindi remake of this monster digital hit. ## Soon after the Hindi remake was announced, the movie hit a roadblock after Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment, who had co-produced the film in Tamil along with Suriya's 2D Entertainment, had approached the court and requested a stay on the film's remake. The judge had granted an injunction and advised both the team to find out a friendly solution. ## And now, nearly after two months, the case came up for hearing on Wednesday (September 8) and the Madras High Court vacated the injunction granted to Sikhya Entertainment. With this judgment, the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru gets clearance to go ahead and the makers can now resume work on this film. ## Sudha Kongara, who has directed the original film, will also direct the Hindi version of the film. Mumbai, September 7, 2021: Ranveer Singh-led biographical sports drama film, "83" is one of the most-awaited Hindi films of the year. Directed by Kabir Khan, "83" has an ensemble cast including Punjabi singer-actor, Harrdy Sandhu, who will be seen portraying the role of former cricketer Madan Lal. ## Sandhu, who played cricket for over a decade as a fast bowler before an elbow injury forced him to give up this game in 2007, said that seeing the release of the movie getting delayed every few months impacts all. I am personally moved by the kind words used for me and Team Thalaivii". ## The actress hopes that the Hindi version of the film also gets to see the light of day. Mumbai, September 3, 2021: Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi, which is scheduled to release in theaters on September 10, has found itself in hot water. Producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri has decided to release the Hindi version of the film on Netflix only after two weeks of its theatrical release, which is not going well with theater owners. ## Disappointed with the makers' decision, the national multiplex chains have decided not to release the movie on multiplexes and have jointly chosen to insist on a minimum exclusive theatrical window of four weeks until normalcy returns. ## A top officer of a leading multiplex chain was quoted as saying, "Two weeks is simply not acceptable to us. If we make a concession in the case of one film (in this case, Thalaivii), another producer would ask for a similar or a new concession. This will never stop. We recently finalized our agreement with Yash Raj Films. That agreement also stipulates an exclusive cinema window of four weeks. After that, we will revert to the pre-pandemic 8-week theatrical window".## To this, Kangana took to her Instagram handle and shared a message for the multiplex owners, requesting them to help each other during the testing times. She wrote, "No films are choosing theatres, very few and very brave like my producers @vishnuinduri @shaaileshrsingh are compromising on huge profits and letting go of exclusive streaming options only for the love of cinema". ## "In these times we must support each other and not bully or arm-twist; it's our fundamental right to recover the cost of our film which we did, we may have two weeks window for Hindi version but for South, we have four weeks window yet multiplexes ganging up on us and stopping our release there as well…This is unfair and cruel in these testing times when major territories like Maharashtra are also shut…Please let's help each other in order to save theatres", she added. ## Thalaivi will also release in Tamil and Telugu.
