Veteran Actor Kamal Haasan Lauds Cast & Crew Of Vikram Batra's Biopic 'Shershaah'

Chennai, August 24, 2021: Veteran actor Kamal Haasan has showered high praises on the recently released Bollywood movie, Shershaah. The movie, which is based on the life of Kargil Hero Vikram Batra, has been winning accolades ever since it was released on Amazon Prime Video on August 12. ## Shershaah is directed by Vishnu Varadhan in his Hindi directorial debut. Kamal Haasan expresses gratitude towards Karan Johar's Dharma Productions for giving an opportunity to a talented director like Varadhan. Mumbai, August 18, 2021: Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra has become the talk of the town after delivering his career-best performance in the recently released, Shershaah. The film, which is a biopic of the Kargil War hero Vikram Batra, is getting rave reviews from all parts of the country. Mumbai, August 18, 2021: Ever since the trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer "Bell Bottom", has released, the transformation of Lara Dutta as Indira Gandhi has become a talking point among the fans on social media. ## In an interview with IANS, director Ranjit M. Tewari shared why Lara Dutta was selected for the role despite her facial features not being similar to those of the late former prime minister. The director revealed casting Lara as Indira Gandhi was Akshay's idea while her transformation could be possible because of the science of prosthetics. ## "This was one of the important casting decisions for my film. If we look at Lara in real life, she carries herself with a lot of dignity and has a very strong personality. Initially, the idea of casting Lara came from Akshay sir, so the credit goes to him. Azad Hind film franchise announced as a tribute to the unsung heroes of the Indian Independence fight. ## The first film in the Azad Hindi franchise will bring to life the untold story of Veerangana Durgawati Devi popularly called Durga Bhabhi. Durgawati fought British Raj and inspired legendary freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh and Chandrashekhar Azad. He has jointly produced biographical sports drama "83" with KKhan, Deepika Padukone, and Sajid Nadiadwala in while Reliance Entertainment has co-distributed the film. ## "Thalaivi", another biographical film starring Kangana Ranaut, is also co-produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh of Vibri Motion Pictures and Karma Media And Entertainment respectively. Aditi Rao Hydari To Feature Alongside Vijay Sethupathi In Zee Studios' Pan-India Silent Film 'Gandhi Talks'?

Mumbai, August 14, 2021: Earlier in January this year, Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi announced that he be starring in a silent feature film, Gandhi Talks. He teamed up with Marathi filmmaker Kishor Pandurang Belekar, who's known for directing award-winning theatre plays and films like Sa Sasucha (2010) and Yeda (2013). ## Now, the latest development is that Padmavat actress Aditi Rao Hydari has reportadly been cast to play the leading lady in this ambitious venture. The film is said to be a dark comedy with elements from Mahatma Gandhi's principles as the backdrop. It depicts the harsh realities of today's times and how Gandhi has become a prime witness of everything that he stood against. ## Gandhi Talks will be produced by Zee Studios in association with Movie Mill Entertainment. The film marks Sethupathi and Hydari's second collaboration after Mani Ratnam's critically acclaimed 2018 gangster drama, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which also starred Silambarasan, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Aishwarya Rajesh, among others in prominant roles. ## The Oscar winner A.R. Rahman will be composing the background score for the film. It is a Pan-India film that will release in six languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Gandhi Talks is the first multi-lingual silent feature film in 34 years. Kamal Haasan's career-defining 1987 black comedy, Pushpak, was the last noteworthy dialogue-free film to be released in various languages across India. ## It is reported that director Kishor Belekar has spent 19 years on the script of the film, which is finally set to take off.
