'Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings' Director Destin Daniel Cretton To Direct 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty'

Los Angeles, July 27 - Marvel Studios is moving ahead with the new superhero characters along with bringing sequels to a few of its already established comic-book heroes, after the conclusion of MCU's Infinity Saga with "Avengers: Endgame". It grossed an epic $2.8 billion worldwide, becoming the second biggest film ever. ## With new superheroes along with a few old ones taking center stage in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel-head Kevin Feige has announced at San Diego Comic-Con a couple of days ago that the Avengers are assembling once again with back-to-back movies set for 2025.## While there will be many films before the next Avengers movie "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" releases, Marvel Studio has already started prepping on the creative front for this mega movie and attached "Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings" director Destin Daniel Cretton to direct it, as per The Hollywood Reporter. ## Cretton is just one film old in Marvel but he proved his mettle by directing one of the best solo Marvel movies last year, and now, he is earning a well-deserved award with "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty". Destin will most likely return to direct the "Shang-Chi" sequel before starting the new Avengers movie. Variety reports that in the trailer of the film, "Gamora no longer remembers her fellow Guardian crew members. The trailer also teases Rocket's origin and an all-gold, super-buff Adam Warlock, played by MCU newcomer Will Poulter. Groot appears as a young adult. The clip is set to The Flaming Lips' 'Do You Realize'. The trailer also confirms 'Borat 2' Oscar nominee Maria Balakova is playing Cosmo the Space Dog".## The upcoming movie will be the final film in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" trilogy, as confirmed by Gunn himself. 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' First Teaser Trailer Scores A Massive 172 Million Views In First 24 Hours

Los Angeles, July 26 - The long-awaited and emotional first teaser trailer of Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released online during Marvel's presentation at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022 and it scored a massive 172 million views in the first 24 hours, according to Variety. ## The teaser trailer of "Black Panther 2" is one of the biggest ever in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the second biggest of 2022 after "Thor: Love and Thunder", which received 209 million views in the first 24 hours. "Black Panther 2's" viewership is also nearly doubled the 88 million views the original "Black Panther" teaser garnered in 2017.## As compared to the previous Marvel movies in the MCU, "Black Panther 2's" trailer's views are 7th highest ever, and for a standalone Marvel pic., the viewership numbers are 3rd biggest after "Spider-Man: No Way Home" trailer (the biggest ever with 355.5 million views) and the "Thor: Love and Thunder" trailer (209 million views). ## Apart from the aforementioned trailer views, the four "Avengers" trailers also pulled in bigger numbers than "Black Panther 2" - "Avengers: Endgame" teaser/trailer scored 289 million views followed by "Avengers: Endgame" final trailer (268 million), "Avengers: Infinity War" (230 million) and "Avengers: Infinity War" final trailer (179 million).## While the teaser/trailer of BP2 got a massive response, the timing of the trailer release may have also affected its chances to score more views. It was launched on a Saturday night at around 9:20 pm ET while most of the studios opt to have their trailer debut early on weekday mornings and take advantage of the workday re-watch factor, which was not the case with the upcoming Marvel tentpole. ## Variety also reports that the teaser also set social media ablaze, with topics relating to "Black Panther" garnering over 893,000 mentions. Marvel Studios Reveals Theatrical and Streaming Plans In Phase 5 and Phase 6

Los Angeles, July 24 - Marvel Studios is moving ahead quickly and has sorted out its upcoming films and shows till 2025. The studio has confirmed at SDCC that its Phases 4, 5, and 6 have been titled The Multiverse Saga. The ongoing Phase 4 will conclude with Ryan Coogler's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", which will release on November 11, 2022. ## The studio, headed by Kevin Feige, gave a glimpse into its future projects in Phase 5 and Phase 6. Phase 5 will kick off with Paul Rudd's "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", which has been slated for February 17, 2023, release. The first official poster of the movie was dropped at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. ## There will be a total of 12 titles in MCU's Phase 5 which will be the culmination of 6 theatrical and streaming titles each. Mumbai, July 15 - Marvel Studios 4th Thor installment, Thor: Love and Thunder, starring Chris Hemsworth in the title role, has stormed past 100 crores gross mark at the Indian box office in the first week itself, scoring 103.85 crores. ## The superhero movie, directed by Taika Waititi, becomes the 5th Marvel movie to score 100 crores gross in India, and is the second Marvel movie this year, after "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of the Madness", to do so. It took just 8 days to reach the milestone. ## "Thor: Love and Thunder" has had a slow start as compared to "Doctor Strange 2", which reached the 100 crores gross in just 4 days. The Sam Raimi-directed movie collected approx. 165 crores gross in its full run and it is one of the biggest grosser at the India box office this year. ## Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office, "Thor 4" has topped $400 million on Thursday. It has grossed $179 million at the North American box office through Wednesday while overseas, the superhero movie crossed $200 million. Jennifer Lawrence's Comedy Film 'No Hard Feelings' Gets A Release Date From Sony Pictures

Los Angeles, July 15 - Sony Pictures has acquired the distribution rights of Jennifer Lawrence-starrer comedy film No Hard Feelings, according to Variety. The price tag, however, has not been revealed by the makers. ## The movie will be directed by Gene Stupnitsky, a writer and co-executive producer on NBC's "The Office". Sony Pictures has billed the movie as an 'R-rated comedy with a heart' and sets June 16, 2023, release date in theaters. ## It will be the first R-Rated comedy movie in Hollywood for a long time as comedy movies are often made to attract family audiences. "No Hard Feelings" is set in Montauk, New York, a hamlet on the east end of Long Island.
