Box Office: RRR (Hindi) Second Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 2 - The "RRR" roared again and roared like a King Lion on the second Saturday at the box office. The SS Rajamouli-directed period action drama epic scored an estimated 18-19 crores on its 9th day at the Hindi box office, jumping approx. 30% from the second Friday. It lends in the top 10 highest second Saturday of all-time in Hindi. The Jr. NTR/Ram Charan-fronted movie is strong at all centers. Maharashtra, Gujrat, and Delhi are large contributors but the movie remains solid in the other states too. As compared to the first Friday, "RRR" witnesses a drop of just about 12-13% on day 9 as per estimates. While the occupancy remains strong, the shows on the 2nd Saturday have been reduced because of the new release, "Attack". However, the reduction of shows hasn't impacted the movie much. Distributed by Pen Studios, "RRR" total Hindi net collection currently stands at approx. 164 crores including the 2nd Saturday. Prabhas To Become A Superhero For Hollywood's Universal Studios?

Hyderabad, April 2 - There is something big is happening around superstar Prabhas regarding his Hollywood launch. While the "Baahubali" actor has already become one of the most bankable actors in the country, there are talks that he may soon sign up for a Hollywood project. ## According to Telugu360, Prabhas has initiated talks with one of the top Hollywood production houses Universal Studios. The report states that two rounds of discussions have already been completed and that further development will take place in due time. ## Universal Pictures has been behind some of the highest-grossing films of all time, and the Telugu360 report says that it is very keen to lock Prabhas for the franchise of an Asian superhero film. While the Hollywood media hasn't reported anything on such development, Prabhas is said to be the first consideration for the studio to play a superhero role. ## Meanwhile, Prabhas already has a number of titles in the pipeline. He will resume shooting for Prashanth Neel-directed "Salaar" soon while also working for Nag Ashwin's "Project K" simultaneously. In between, the "Saaho" actor will take director Maruthi's film. Prabhas Talks About The Importance Of Box Office Numbers Of Films

Mumbai, April 2 - Superstar Prabhas will be headlining some of the biggest Indian movies in the next 2 to 3 years. He became a nationwide sensation after the success of "The Baahubali" franchise in Hindi and later he tested the success with "Saaho" in the biggest Indian movie market. ## Prabhas's recently released "Radhe Shyam", however, couldn't do well at the box office and was declared a disaster. The actor is now gearing up for his next, titled "Adipurush", which is possibly the biggest film of his career. Prabhas called "Adipurush" more than just a film and sentimentally a very important project for his life. ## "Adipurush sentimentally is a very important project for my life. Om Raut, luckily I have a very good director. It is not just a film, it is something very important and everyone will be having a look at it. I was really frightened of it and is very important for me. It is something else I feel", Prabhas said to IANS. ## Even though "Radhe Shyam" didn't do well, Prabhas is still one of the biggest crowd-pullers in the country. When asked if Box Office numbers do matter to him, the actor said that it is important for him to see how many people liked his movies which can only be known through box office numbers. ## "Yes. I can't get every 'Baahubali' as a film. But the budget and the people's acceptance are very important. The box office can be told like that. It does not mean I break records. Nothing like that but how much I am reaching in every part, how many people are disappointed, happy, or super excited that I can only know through the box office. SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' Crosses 500 Crores Nett At The Domestic Box Office

Mumbai, April 2 - Telugu superstars, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, joined forces with blockbuster machine SS Rajamouli and delivered yet another Pan-India box office hit in the form of "RRR". The period action drama fiction, set in 1920, has crossed the 500 crores net mark at the domestic box office in just 8 days. ## The box office success of "RRR" was somehow already assured keeping Rajamouli's devoted fanbase across the country but reaching the 500 crores mark in near record-breaking days, is something very very special. It has become only the Indian movie after Rajamouli's own "Baahubali 2" to reach the landmark box office figure. ## With the support of highly positive word of mouth, the original Telugu version is driving the biz of "RRR" and crossed the 300 crores net (311 cr.) mark in 8 days, followed by the all-important dubbed Hindi version with 145 crores. 'RRR' Director SS Rajamouli Provides Scripting And Shooting Update On His Next With Mahesh Babu

Hyderabad, April 1 - The Hit machine, filmmaker SS Rajamouli is on a much-deserved break after delivering yet another box office success in the form of "RRR" (Rise Roar Revolt). The 500 crores epic movie is going bonkers at the worldwide box office, crossing the 700 crores gross mark in just 7 days. ## The maverick filmmaker has now set his eyes on his next film, which is with superstar Mahesh Babu. The film is touted to be a jungle adventure that will be made on a larger scale than "RRR" or the director's all other previous movies. While there has nothing been confirmed yet, it is reported that Alia Bhatt, who played an extended cameo in "RRR", will be paired opposite Mahesh in the film. ## Mahesh Babu's film with SSR is still in the early stage of scripting. However, one can expect a quick development on the project, unlike Rajamouli's last few movies that took longer than expected time in the pre-production work. There have been reports stating that SSMB29 will go on floors in mid-next year, however, Rajamouli is looking to start the movie much earlier. ## "Usually I will take about six to seven months from this point to get the storyline ready, get some of the pre-visualization and pre-production ready for the shoot. Box Office: RRR (Hindi) First Thursday Early Estimates

Mumbai, March 31 - "RRR" clocks a fantastic first week at the Hindi box office, scoring 132+ scores. The period action drama film scored an estimated 11-12 crores on the first Thursday, taking a total net collection to 132.07 crores. It has become the 25th biggest opening week grosser in Hindi, ahead of "Bang Bang" 129.92 crores. Among the biggest first Thursday grosser, "RRR" will fall in between 36-39 spots of all-time while for the biggest 7th day, it lends in between 18-20 spots. The SS Rajamouli-directed is projected to score 250 crores in its lifetime run in Hindi. However, a lot will depend on how John Abraham's "Attack - Part 1" which releases this Friday. Pawan Kalyan To Resume Shooting Of Director Krish's 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' From April 1st Week

Hyderabad, March 31 - Power star Pawan Kalyan will resume the shooting of director Krish's long-in-development, "Hari Hara Veera Mallu" from April 6, as per reports. The shoot of the film has already been delayed due to PSPK's other commitments but now, the makers want to finish the production in a quick time. ## As per reports, 50% shoot of this period action drama film is already done, and by August this year, makers have planned to wrap it up completely to make it ready for release this year itself. RRR vs Baahubali 2 Opening Weekend Worldwide Gross Comparison

Hyderabad, March 28 - SS Rajamouli's "RRR", has roared at the worldwide box office, as expected. With Everest-like expectations, the period action drama delivered big time and was the number 1 movie worldwide during its 3-day opening weekend, becoming the first Indian title since "Padmaavat" in July 2018, to gross 500 crores (502 Cr.). ## While the opening weekend box office numbers of "RRR" are no less than blockbuster stuff, the movie fell an inch short to create an all-time record for an Indian title. Rajamouli's own historical action drama film, "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion", retained its record of scoring approx. 512 crores worldwide in 2017 in the first weekend. ## "RRR" has had direct competition with "Baahubali 2" as far as the box office is concerned and it nearly equaled BB2's record. Comparing the day-wise worldwide gross, "RRR" scored 223 crores gross on the first day against 217 crores of BB2. However, BB2 came above "RRR" on the next two days with approx. 140 crores and 153 crores against 127 crores and 150 crores, respectivaly of "RRR". ## At the Indian box office, the latest blockbuster flick grossed 380 crores in the first three days while during the same time, "Baahubali 2" did gross 382 crores. State-wise, the Jr. NTR/Ram Charan-fronted made 203.5 crores gross against 105.7 gross of BB2 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the first weekend. The massive gap between the two movies in AP/TG was mainly because of the higher ticket prices for "RRR". ## Apart from AP/TG, both "RRR" and "Baahubali 2" were neck to neck in Karnataka (38.5 Cr. vs 39 Cr.) and Tamil Nadu (32 Cr. vs 31.75 Cr.). However, the former legged behind the ATBB in Kerala with 12 crores against 17 crores of BB2. In North belt, there is no comparison between the two movies as BB2 was miles ahead of "RR". While BB2 generated 188.3 crores, "RRR" could only manage to made 94 crores (still excellent) in North region during the debut weekend. ## Overseas, the current global box office sensation has grossed approx. 122 crores while "Baahubali 2" was a little bit stronger with 130 crores. Box Office: RRR (Hindi) First Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, March 28 - The friendship saga of two Telugu superstars in "RRR" with a prominently Telugu director has started ruling the Hindi box office. After delivering the biggest day post-pandemic at the Hindi BO on Sunday, "RRR" might have now scored the biggest first Monday, at least the early trends are hinting at the same. The period action drama film witnessed a stronghold on its 4th day for an estimated 15-16 crores net. The footfalls on Monday remain almost similar to the opening day (Friday), but the average ticket price was reduced which will ensure a lower than Friday total on Monday. The highest first Monday at the Hindi box office post-pandemic belongs to "The Kashmir Files", which scored 15.05 crores. "RRR" is very much on the line to beat TKF which remains to see subject to the official data. The SS Rajamouli-directed will become the 98th movie to enter the 100 crores net club in Hindi, and it will most likely reach there on Wednesday. However, reaching the milestone on Tuesday itself is very much on, depending upon how much Monday's total come. RRR Becomes First Indian Movie To Reach 300 Cr. Net Post Pandemic; Crosses 500 Cr. Worldwide

Hyderabad, March 28 - SS Rajamouli-directed "RRR" took just 3 days to set the Indian box office on fire and break the unreachable post-pandemic target. The period action drama has become the first Indian movie since "War" (2019) to cross 300 crores net at the box office. ## The Jr. NTR and Ram Charan-fronted with Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in important roles, "RRR" scored 317 crores net in all languages. In the original Telugu version, the movie has scored 209.48 crores, while in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, the film minted 30.38 crores. ## Meanwhile, the Hindi version was in full flow over the weekend and generated 75.32 crores net. It also recorded the second-biggest opening weekend in Hindi during the pandemic after "Sooryavanshi" (77.09 crores). The movie grew from strength to strength after taking the opening of 20.07 crores on Friday, before jumping on Saturday to 23.75 crores and 31.50 crores on Sunday. ## Overseas, "RRR" scored approx. 120 crores gross in the first 3 days. At the USA box office, the critically hailed film minted $9.4 million (71.55 cr.) in the first weekend, which is the second-biggest start for an Indian movie ever after "Baahubali 2" ($10.4M). Box Office: 'RRR' Enters Top 10 Highest-Grossing Films Worldwide Of 2022

Hyderabad, March 28 - The year 2022 has been great for the Indian film industry so far with 8 movies scoring more than 100 crores net at the domestic box office. Director SS Rajamouli's recently released, "RRR" is the highest-grossing film among all the releases in 2022 in India and overseas by a huge margin and now, Yash-fronted "KGF Chapter 2" is also scoring huge.## The Jr. NTR and Ram Charan-fronted period action drama film has grossed approx. 1100 crores worldwide in 26 days.
