Box Office: Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Indra' Re-Release Scored Very Good Opening Worldwide

Hyderabad, August 23 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's all-time blockbuster movie Indra (2002) was re-released in theatres on August 22, on the occasion of his 69th birthday and as expected, the action drama scored a very good opening at the domestic and worldwide box office.## Directed by B. Gopal, Indra grossed approximately 1.85 crores in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) on its first day and this is one of the biggest openings for Telugu re-release titles in recent times. Additionally, the movie grossed approximately 40 lakh in the rest of Indian markets, for a domestic opening of 2.25 crores gross.## Overseas, Indra scored a fantastic collection, especially in the USA where it grossed an estimated 50 lakh while the total overseas opening day collection is approximately 75 lakh for around 3 crores gross worldwide start which is excellent for a re-release title.## Originally released in 2002, Indra stormed the box office back then and went on to become the highest-grossing Telugu movie in history at the time as well as the all-time highest-grossing South-Indian film with a worldwide collection of over 50 crores gross.## Stay tuned...

Hyderabad, August 20 - Pan India superstar Prabhas and Sita Ramam director Hanu Raghavapudi have teamed up for the first time for a period action drama film. The movie, tentatively titled Fauji, was recently announced officially with Mythri Movie Makers coming on board to produce it. ## With the official announcement, debutante Imanvi was confirmed to play the female lead role opposite Prabhas in the film. Now, according to the report by Filmfare, the makers have also roped in Pakistani actress Sajal Ali to essay a pivotal role. ## Sajal Ali, a prominent face in Pakistani cinema, previously worked in India in the Bollywood movie Mom (2017) which was the last film of the legendary late actress Sridevi in a prominent role. Mumbai, August 18 - Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi has ignited a new controversy after commenting on Pan India superstar Prabhas for his look in the latest box office blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, features Prabhas in the lead role and it seems Arshad didn't like the way Prabhas presented in the movie.## While appearing on a podcast interview with Samish Bhatia on his show "Unfiltered", the Jolly LLB star said that he didn't like the movie and was particularly disappointed with Prabhas' look and that he was looking like a Joker in the movie.## "Maine Kalki dekhi, mujhe toh nhi acchi lagi. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the movie was officially launched on August 17 with a traditional Pooja ceremony.## The yet-untitled movie is said to be a period action drama, set in the 1940s and is the tale of a warrior who rose from the shadows, emerging from a society that believed war was the only answer to the buried injustices and forgotten truths that history kept hidden from the world.## Debutante Imanvi is the lead actress opposite Prabhas in the movie, while the yesteryear eminent actors Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada play pivotal roles. Hyderabad, August 13 - Telugu director Nag Ashwin teamed up with Pan India superstar Prabhas on Kalki 2898 AD which stormed the box office and has become one of the biggest Indian grossers of all time by topping 1000 crores worldwide. ## Kalki 2898 AD is the first installment in the planned Kalki universe but it seems the second film will take some time to get on the floors. The blockbuster filmmaker has announced his next film, tentatively titled Project S and has teamed up with the iconic production house AVM Productions for the same.## The details about the project are not revealed yet but the makers announced on social media that they are looking for associate directors based in Hyderabad for Project S. Mumbai, August 12 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan delivered the biggest blockbuster of his career in the form of Jawan which was released last year. I really enjoyed that. Jawan was a great experience for me.
