Mumbai, July 8 - Kalki 2898 AD was running riot in the second weekend and ended it with the 4th biggest second Sunday ever at the Indian box office, joining the elite company of Baahubali 2, KGF: Chapter, RRR, and Gadar 2, in the top 5 list.## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic scored an estimated 44.35 crores net collection on its second Sunday in all languages, beating Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 which scored 38.90 crores. SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion remains the biggest second Sunday scorer by a long margin at 65 crores India net. ## Here are the top 5 biggest second Sundays at the Indian box office (estimated Net collection) - ## 1. Baahubali 2 - 65 crores## 2. RRR - 52.80 crores## 3. KGF: Chapter 2 - 45.35 crores## 4. Kalki 2898 AD - 44.35 crores## 5. Hyderabad, July 8 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan announced on social media that he has wrapped up shooting for the highly-anticipated Pan India movie Game Changer with director S. Shankar, and the release date of the film will be announced soon. ## It has been a long journey for the actor on the Game Changer shoot which commenced in October 2021 and after almost three years, it has finally been completed. Mumbai, July 7 - Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD clocks 49+ crores net collection in its second weekend in the dubbed Hindi version after big Sunday. The movie witnessed a drop of around 40% from the first Friday to Sunday weekend which is an excellent hold. ## The Nag Ashwin's directorial sci-fi epic crossed the 200 crores net mark after scoring an estimated 22-23 crores net (+22%) on its second Sunday (11th day) in Hindi, pushing the total to around 212 crores net. Subject to the official collection, it may or may not have crossed Fighter (212.80 crores net approx) to become the biggest Hindi grosser of the year. ## The excellent second-weekend hold signifies acceptance among the general movie lovers and this should help it to have long legs at the box office. The movie is performing equally well in multiplex and mass pockets which is another good sign for its longevity. The target for it will be to top RRR (272.80 crores net approx.) and with one more push, it might touch 300 crore net also in Hindi. ## In all versions, Kalki witnessed a jump of around +20% today for an estimated 48+ crore gross collection, pushing the total domestic gross to an estimated 603 crores (507 crores net) in just 11 days. Mumbai, July 7 - Kalki 2898 AD continues to run riot at the ticket window and has already sold over 2.50 crores of tickets in the first 10 days in all languages. Now, the movie has unlocked another milestone on the ticketing platform, Book My Show. ## The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic has become the first film of 2024 to sell 10 million tickets on Book My Show as it achieved this feat on July 7th. After opening pre-sales sales on June 23, Kalki 2898 AD sold around 6.50 million tickets till June 30. ## Kalki remained rock solid during the weekdays, and from July 1st to July 6th, it sold around 3.35 million tickets, for a total of around 9.75 million tickets on BMS. Mumbai, July 3 - Kalki 2898 AD finishes the first week (7 days) with 150+ crores net collection in Hindi, making it the biggest of the year for an Indian film after the solid first Wednesday at the box office with a drop of under 20% from Tuesday. ## As per the early estimates, the Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic scored 11-12 crores net collection on its 7th day, dropping around 15% from yesterday which is a regular drop. This has taken the total collection of the movie to around 152 crores with the full first week headed for around 162 crores in Hindi. ## As reported yesterday, the weekday trend of Kalki 2898 AD is almost similar to RRR and it might end up scoring more than SS Rajamouli's directorial in the long run due to not much competition for the first two weeks from the Bollywood movies. ## Including Hindi, all the versions of Kalki 2898 AD are showing a drop of around 15% for an estimated 27+ crores gross collection on its first Wednesday. Hyderabad, July 3 - Pan India superstar Prabhas, currently basking on the mega box office success of Kalki 2898 AD, is set to start the sequel of last year's success Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel amid the rumours of it getting shelved. ## Salaar Part 1 was one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2023 and the makers planned to commence the shoot of Salar Part 2 sooner than later to complete the story. The movie was supposed to go on floors by June this year but now, it will roll out in August. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the 20% shoot of Salaar 2 is already completed and the makers will resume it on August 10 with a 15-day schedule at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. It is said that plans to resume the filming in June were delayed due to weather and date issues. ## Prashanth Neel, meanwhile also has Jr. NTR's Dragon and the report says that the filmmaker will juggle between the shoots of the two movies. Salaar 2 will be shot for over 8 months with Dragon in 2024 and 2025, starting from August this year. Hyderabad, July 3 - Amid the box office carnage, sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has crossed 20 million (2 crores) footfalls in India in all languages, becoming the first Indian movie of the year to do so, beating fellow industry title, Hanuman. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD has scored an estimated 2.02 crores of footfalls in just 6 days in all versions. The Telugu version is leading approximately 1 crore admissions, followed by Hindi with 75 lakh. The rest of the versions have sold approximately 28 lakh tickets so far. ## In 2024, only four Indian films have sold more than 1 crore tickets in theatres and Kalki 2898 AD is the only one to make it double.
