Mumbai, July 10 - Bollywood star Varun Dhawan has reunited with his director father David Dhawan for a romantic comedy for the 4th time, after Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2, and Coolie No.1. Unlike the previous three films, the upcoming one is an original script. ## Recently, it was revealed that Mrunal Thakur and Sreeleela (Bollywood debut) would be playing the female lead roles, and now, the quirky title of the movie has also been revealed as the shoot has commenced today in Mumbai. ## According to the Pinkvilla report, the romantic comic caper has been titled, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai which is said to be the sync of the script. It has already been announced to be released on October 2, 2025. It is produced by Ramesh Taurani under the banner of Tips Films.## "It's a fun family entertainer with the love triangle of the trio at the centre. David Dhawan has cracked a concept that’s fresh and original, and is confident to recreate the magic of comedies on the big screen again", says the report. ## It is also reported that the makers are on the verge of bringing together some of the most celebrated comic artists on the screen alongside the lead trio. Akshay has a cameo in the Rajkummar Rao - Shraddha Kapoor starrer. The makers felt his comedy timing is impeccable, and his presence even for a few minutes will elevate that particular sequence". ## Interestingly, Akshay's Khel Khel Mein is also a comedy entertainer and if the reports about him playing a cameo in Stree 2 are true, it will be a double bonanza for his fans who want to see him in comedy roles. Mumbai, July 7 - Director Aditya Dhar has been trying to set up his second directorial venture after delivering one of the biggest blockbusters in 2019 with URI: The Surgical Strike. The filmmaker has had difficulties in taking his next film on floors due to financial hurdles. ## Dhar was set to make the ambitious The Immortal Ashwatthama with Vicky Kaushal but due to its massive budget, it was shelved. The filmmaker then started on a new script, touted to be an action thriller and reportedly locked Ranveer Singh to headline it. Now, there is an update on the same. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, the movie has tentatively been titled Dhurandhar and Aditya Dhar has locked a stellar ensemble cast for the same. The report states that along with Ranveer Singh, the filmmaker has locked Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal to play pivotal roles. ## The report further said that although the actors are still not contractually signed, they are believed to have been creatively locked, and all other modalities are quickly being worked out. The movie is touted to be a fast-paced, mission-based action thriller.## Dhar will produce the film with his brother Lokesh Dhar under their banner B62 Studios, in partnership with a major studio as the movie will be made on a huge scale with a huge budget and will be shot in India and overseas. Mumbai, July 4 - Kalki 2898 AD ends the extended first week on a high with another double-digit collection in the Hindi version with a drop of just around 10% from yesterday which is a very good hold to go into the second week. ## On its second Thursday (8th day), Kalki 2898 AD scored an estimated 10+ crores net collection which can go up to 11 crores depending on the single screens. The total collection after the 8-day extended week is 162+ crores net in Hindi. ## Kalki 2898 AD will be eyeing 40+ crores net collection in the second weekend to take the total past 200 crores net mark and then, it will depend on how it performs during the weekdays and once Sarfira and Indian 2 arrive on July 12 in its pursuit to reach 300 crores mark. ## If there was some drop in the Hindi collection, Kalki made it up with the Telugu version which sees a jump today as all version estimate suggests the collection is more or less similar to yesterday with around 26.50 crores gross, pushing the total cume to around 494 crores gross domestically. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, July 3 - Over the last few weeks, reports about the potential collaboration between Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and director Atlee have been all over media headlines. Touted to be a 2-hero project with Kamal Haasan as the parallel lead, will mark the first movie together for the trio if materializes. ## While the aforementioned collaboration is making fans go crazy, another one between the duo of Salman Khan and Atlee is shaping up and is reportedly confirmed. According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, the Sultan actor is teaming up with Atlee to play a cameo role in Varun Dhawan-starrer Baby John which is produced by the Jawan director as his maiden Bollywood production venture. ## The details about Salman Khan's cameo have been kept under wraps but it's said to be a mass action sequence that is specifically written and designed for him. June 2024 Indian Box Office Report

Mumbai, July 2 - June was the second biggest month of the year at the Indian box office with close to 1000 crores gross collection after January which is the only month to cross this milestone so far. ## In June 2024, films across languages grossed approximately 985 crores at the domestic box office, as Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD being the biggest grosser with approximately 370 crores gross, followed by Bollywood movie, Munjya with approximately 111 crores gross. ## In terms of language, Hindi once again topped the month and also saw the biggest of the year so far by topping March month's collection of 386 crores with approximately 390 crores gross which includes Kalki (130+ crores) and Munjay (111 crores) as the two biggest grossers. The Telugu version is also back in the top 2 with approximately 275 crores gross, thanks to Kalki with 200 crores gross. ## Meanwhile, the Malayalam language collection slipped to 4th spot after being the second biggest for four consecutive months. The Tamil industry also witnessed a rebound and has had the biggest month of the year with approximately 137 crores gross, thanks to Maharaja (60 crores) and Garudan (45 crores). ## The total domestic collection after the first 6 months is approximately 4700 crores gross. The second half of the year, however, is expected to see a big jump in the collection with multiple much-awaited movies lined up for release, including Pushpa 2, Singham Again, Indian 2, Devara, Game Changer, Kanguva, Stree 2, GOAT, along with Hollywood movies like Deadpool 3, Mufasa: The Lion King, and Joker 2, among many local and international films. ## Stay tuned...
