Ajay Devgn To Headline Director Jagan Shakti's High Concept Action Film, To Be Produced By Luv Ranjan

Mumbai, July 25 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, who is gearing up for the release of director Neeraj Pandey's romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, will be reuniting with filmmaker Luv Ranjan for a high-concept action thriller, to be directed by Mission Mangal fame Jagan Shakti.## The film in question has been in development for the last few months. Luv Ranjan, who previously produced Ajay Devgn-fronted De De Pyaar De and its upcoming sequel, has come on board to produce Jagan Shakti's directorial, according to Bollywood Hungama. ## "It's a high-concept action film and will see Ajay Devgn in a completely new avatar. Luv, Jagan and Ajay are excited to explore this action space together in their next directorial. The film will go on floors by December 2024 and will hit the big screen in 2025", says the report.## The shoot of the film will commence in December this year, and before that, Ajay Devgn will wrap up Son of Sardaar 2 and De De Pyaar De 2. Mumbai, July 23 - The mega box office clash on Independence Day 2024 has officially been confirmed after Akshay Kumar's comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein re-confirmed its release date with the first look motion poster on July 23, Tuesday. Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 and John Abraham-fronted Vedaa are also scheduled to be released on the same day.## Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Khel Khel Mein first look motion posters feature the entire cast which also includes Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal in the prominent roles. Box Office: 'Bad Newz' First Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 22 - After the opening weekend of nearly 30 crores net, Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk's comedy-drama Bad Newz sees a drop of over 60% on its first Monday which is a little higher than expected.## According to the early estimates, the Anand Tiwari's directorial scored in the range of 3.50 crores net collection on its 4th day, pushing the total collection to over 33 crores net. The drop from opening day is over 50% which was needed to be under 50% to be called a decent hold. ## Bad Newz is heavily dependent on multiple audiences as mass centres are not showing much interest which was expected given the theme of the film. Given the fact that Bad Newz is performing fairly well among its target audience, the first Monday hold can be seen as a respectable one. ## The movie needs to perform to the level of Monday's collection throughout the week as first full week is headed to finish around 41 crores net. Box Office: 'Bad Newz' Third Day/First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 21 - Dharma Productions' comedy drama Bad Newz has a good first weekend at the domestic box office with close to 30 crores net mark after a jump of 5%-10% on Sunday.## According to the early estimates, the film scored in the range of 10.75-11.25 crores net collection on its third day/first Sunday, pushing the total collection to around 29.50 crores in 3 days. It is the fifth biggest opening weekend for a Bollywood title of 2024.## The jump on Sunday is pretty flat or limited which is often the case with multiplex movies, plus there is a strong holdover in Kalki 2898 AD which is ruling mass centres as well as multiplex. Bad Newz needs to hold well on its first Monday which is crucial for the sake of its long legs at the box office.## Overall, the opening weekend total of around 30 crores net is respected but the real game for the movie begins on Monday which will determine where it will go. Ajay Devgn's 'Son of Sardaar 2' Shoot Begins; Full Cast Details Revealed

Mumbai, July 21 - The hugely-anticipated comedy entertainer Son of Sardaar 2, starring Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, has commenced filming on July 20 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The movie is being directed by Punjabi filmmaker Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn in association with Jio Studios.## It was recently reported that actress Mrunal Thakur would be playing the female lead, replacing Sonakshi Sinha from the original movie. Sanjay Dutt also joins the returning cast from the first movie with Pankaj Tripathi and Kubbra Sait reportedly joining the cast as new members. ## SOS2 is the sequel to 2012's Son of Sardaar which itself was a remake of the 2010 Telugu film Maryada Ramanna, directed by SS Rajamouli. Mumbai, July 20 - After taking the career-best start for Vicky Kaushal with 8.30 crores net, comedy-drama Bad Newz is seeing a jump of around 20% on its second day with collection around to the double-digit score. ## On its first Saturday, the Anand Tiwari's directorial venture scored an estimated 9.75-10.25 crores net collection, taking the total to around 18+ crores in two days. The 3-day opening weekend is expected to be around 30 crores net which is a fantastic result for the movie. ## The film's biz is being driven by Delhi NCR while other areas are performing decently. Bad Newz is more of an urban so the mass centres are on the lower side which is expected. The opening weekend is looking in a much better position than 2-3 weeks back but it will eventually come down to Monday to see where the movie will go. ## The word of mouth for the film is on the positive side so one can expect Bad Newz to hold well on Monday and going forward.
