Mumbai, July 2 - Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment's A-rated action thriller Kill, which is scheduled to be released theatrically on July 5, is set to be remade in Hollywood by the John Wick director Chad Stahelski who will produce the movie for Lionsgate. ## Kill has been rated 'A' by CBFC for extreme violence and it is billed as the Indian version of the John Wick franchise. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the movie stars Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya, and Tanya Maniktala in key roles. ## "Kill is one of the most vivid, wild, and creative action movies I've seen recently. Nikhil delivers relentless action sequences that need to be seen by as wide an audience as possible. It's exciting to be developing an English-language version — we have big shoes to fill and I'm looking forward to working with Nikhil, Karan, Apoorva, Guneet, and Achin to achieve that", Stahelski said in a statement (via Variety).## In a rare instance, the makers of Kill have partnered with any major Hollywood studio to release the movie in North America and the U.K. with Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions coming on board to distribute the movie there. ## In the film, when army commando Amrit (Lakshya) finds out his true love Tulika (Tanya Maniktala) is engaged against her will, he boards a New Delhi-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage. Mumbai, July 2 - 12 years after the superhit action comedy, Son of Sardaar, Bollywood star Ajay Devgn and team reunite for its sequel with Devgn returning to play the lead role. The movie will reportedly be directed by Punjabi filmmaker Vijay Kumar Arora. ## When the sequel was confirmed, there were rumours that Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha, who played prominent roles in the original movie, would not be returning. Now, according to the latest reports, the makers have brought on board SOS2 with Mrunal Thakur to replace Sonakshi. ## According to the Mid-Day, it is not yet clear whether Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt will reprise their roles as Jassi and Balwinder Singh Sandhu aka Billu as the story of SOS2 is said to be fresh and doesn't pick up where the original ended.## "That said, since the characters of Billu and Jassi were loved by the audiences, the two actors are expected to stick to their characters' names. Their dynamics, however, will be different. While the two were at loggerheads with hilarious results in Son of Sardaar, this time, their rivalry will be intense, with Sanjay's role leaning towards the antagonist", says the report. ## The report further said that the trio of Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, and Mrunal Thakur who will play the female lead, will commence a 50-day schedule in Scotland this month. "The team has derived the title from the script as Sunny Deol's character has the traits of being a Jatt. It's a larger-than-life heroic character for Sunny Deol and he is donning a special look of a light beard and a moustache for the same", says the report. ## In a recent interview, the Veera Simha Reddy director revealed Sunny Deol's character details and said that the actor plays the role of a one-man army, taking on a powerful villain. The filmmaker further revealed that the story of the movie is inspired by multiple real-life incidents which the audience will love when they watch it. ## Jatt will be filmed for three months and Sunny will call it a wrap by September before jumping to epic Ramayana, in which he is playing Lord Hanuman and Border 2 where he reprises his role as Major Kuldeep Singh from the first movie. Bombay High Court Allows Release of Annu Kapoor's 'Hamare Baarah'

Mumbai, June 19 - The Bombay High Court has allowed the release of Annu Kapoor's Hamare Baarah after the makers agreed to delete some objectionable scenes. The movie, which was supposed to be released on June 7, will now hit screens on June 21. ## According to Bar and Bench, a bench of Justices BP Colabawalla and Firdosh Pooniwalla watched the film and suggested changes which both the moviemakers and the petitioners agreed to. ## The court, after a thorough review, also said that the movie did not contain any objectionable content against the Quran or the Muslim community, instead, the court found the movie to be aimed at the "upliftment of women", according to NDTV report. ## "The movie is in fact for the upliftment of women. The movie has a Maulana misinterpreting the Quran and in fact, one Muslim man objects to the same in the scene. So this shows that people should apply their mind and not blindly follow such Maulanas", the high court said. ## Meanwhile, the court imposed a fine of Rs. 5 lakh on the makers of the movie for releasing the trailer before getting CBFC certification. The fine is to be donated to a charity of the petitioners' choice. "Violation was there vis-a-vis the trailer. So you will have to pay something towards a charity of the petitioner's choice. The cost will have to be paid. This litigation has got the film so much unpaid publicity", the court added.## Hamare Baarah is directed by Kamal Chandra and it also stars Rahul Bagga, Manoj Joshi, and Ashwini Kalsekar, among others.
