One of the popular DC characters who have a huge influence on the audiences, Superman hasn't been able to find a place in the DC universe for more than 5 years. ## The popular superhero role, played by Henry Cavill, was last seen in "Justice League" (not counting Zack Snyder's Justice League) but since then, the studio couldn't find ways to bring back the character despite the rumors. ## It is said that Warner Bros. executive, Walter Hamada was against the idea of bringing Henry Cavill back as Superman, and now, with his exit, things are shaping up nicely at Warner Bros. regarding DC's future projects, and in what could be the turning point of DC future, the studio has greenlit multiple projects, including "Superman" sequel.## According to THR, bringing back Cavill for another Superman movie is at the top of the list for Warner Bros. executives and are reportedly looking for writers for a "Man of Steel" sequel produced by Charles Roven. There have been rumors about the "Superman" sequel, and the studio is finally officially setting it.## Interestingly, Dwayne Johnson, who makes his DC debut with the forthcoming "Black Adam" movie, has been quite vocal about the "Black Adam vs. Superman" movie and believed that it was the main purpose of introducing Black Adam in the DCEU. Los Angeles, October 15 - Marvel Studios' most-anticipated film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is getting nearer to its release date, which is November 11, 2022, in North America. ## With just 4 weeks to its official release, Marvel fans are expected to turn out in large numbers once again for the blockbuster sequel to director Ryan Coogler's "Black Panther" (2018), and the early box office prediction hints at the same. ## According to Boxoffice Pro, "Black Panther 2" is estimated to land somewhere between $180 million and $225 million at the domestic (North America) opening weekend, with high chances of it to open with $200+ million. It is said that Blade, which was supposed to release on November 3, 2023, will now be hitting theaters on September 6, 2024. The movie was to start production in 2022, but the search for the director is still on and the production has been delayed to early 2023. ## The delay in "Blade" production has created a cascade in Marvel's schedule. The untitled Deadpool 3 movie is moving to November 8, 2024, from September 6, 2024. The film stars Ryan Reynolds and has brought Hugh Jackman out of retirement as Wolverine. "Absolutely. That is the whole point of this, man", he said, "I have been saying for some time, there's a new era in the DC Universe that's about to begin". ## "And what I meant by that was introducing a brand new character. It's not a sequel, not an existing IP. It was... you know, Black Adam. Two years ago the world had no idea who he was. We did, but not the rest of the masses out there. What I really meant by, 'This is a new era in the DC Universe', is listening to the fans. Los Angeles, September 26 - Amid the anticipation of Avatar: The Way of Water, Disney re-released its predecessor Avatar in theaters and getting rich rewards at the box office. ## It has been 13 years since AVATAR was originally released in 2009, but the striking world of Pandora is forcing people to visit theaters to watch the 4K remastered version. The film generated $10 million in North America and $20.5 million internationally for $30.5 million worldwide over the opening weekend of its re-release. ## "We're talking about a film that's 13 years old, which people can watch at home. The big draw is the Imax presentation. 'Avatar' is serving as a reminder of how cool the imagery of Pandora looks on the big screen", says Paul Dergarabedian, a senior media analyst with Comscore. ## The response to the Avatar re-release has been such huge that it beat the new releases as well as the re-release of some of the biggest blockbusters of all time. The movie came above Florence Pugh's "Don't Worry Darling" which grossed $30 million worldwide, though it was the number one movie in North America. ## In terms of recent re-releases, ticket sales for "Avatar", which played in 1,980 theaters, came in 85% ahead of the re-release for "Spider-Man: No Way Home", which grossed $5.4 million from nearly 3900 theaters earlier this month. Domestically, "Avatar" also came above the combined gross collection of the rerelease of "No Way Home" and "Star Wars: Rogue One".## As per Variety, the remastered version of "Avatar" took the No. 1 spot in smaller markets like France ($2.9 million), Italy ($1.5 million), Singapore, and Thailand. Other top territories were Germany ($1.3 million), the United Kingdom ($1.3 million), and Korea ($1.3 million). In India, it grossed approx. $700K over the weekend.## The encouraging box office response to "Avatar" has almost confirmed the massive opening of "Avatar: The Way of Water" which opens in December this year.
