Jeethu Joseph To Direct Venkatesh In Telugu Remake Of Malayalam Film 'Drishyam 2'

Mohanlal starrer Malayalam movie, Drishyam 2 premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 19 and it is getting brilliant reviews from the viewers. The Telugu remake of this suspense thriller is already in work with Jeethu Joseph returning to helm the much-anticipated remake with Telugu superstar Venkatesh. ## Released in 2014, the Telugu remake of Drishyam, titled Drushyam was directed by Sripriya, but this time, the sequel will be directed by Jeethu himself who shot to national fame with Mohanlal starrer. Venkatesh, who starred in Drushyam, will carry forward his role in the sequel. ## Jeethu Joseph announced the sequel of the Telugu remake. He also confirmed that the shooting will begin next month in March and will be wrapped up as soon as possible. It has been reported that Jeethu has already landed in Hyderabad and had been in talks with multiple people involved in the project.## Talking about Drushyam, the film tells the story of Rambabu (Venkatesh), a middle-class cable TV operator, and his family. They come under suspicion when Varun, the son of the Inspector-general of police (IG), goes missing soon after harassing Rambabu's daughter. The rest of the film reveals how Varun disappeared and what Rambabu does to keep his family from going to prison. ## Drushyam had Meena and Esther Anil from the original cast of Drishyam. Nadhiya played the role of the police officer whose son is murdered by Rambabu's daughter. ## Mohanlal's Drishyam has been remade in several languages including Hindi, Sinhalese, and Mandarin. Nishikant Kamat directed the Hindi remake and it starred Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta. Last year, Pawan Kalyan had announced his 27th film on his 49th birthday on September 2, tentatively titled PSPK27 with the director Krish. Now, the big-budgeted period drama film has got its leading lady in Niddhi Agerwal. ## Talking to IANS, the actress confirmed that she will be starring opposite Pawan Kalyan in his next film. "Yes, I am doing a film with Pawan Kalyan and it feels like a dream come true to be a part of this particular project. This is my ninth film, so I am looking at this as my golden film". ## Talking about shooting with Pawan Kalyan, Niddhi gushes, "He is simply amazing and so good to work with. All I can say is that he is the best!" ## According to reports, Krish recently shot some scenes including a song on Niddhi, and finalized her opposite Pawan Kalyan. The makers of the film are currently making preparations for another schedule which is going to resume very soon. Telugu Movie Krack's Digital Premiere On Aha Postponed By A Week To Support Cinemas

Ravi Teja starrer Telugu movie, Krack, has been a box office blockbuster despite the pandemic and 50% seating capacity of theaters. It was released on January 9, and in no time, the movie emerged as a Sankranthi blockbuster. Fans showered their love for the movie by watching it in cinemas in large numbers. ## Though Krack got a positive response from the audience, it could have been bigger if there had not been the covid-19 pandemic. Keeping that in mind, the makers of the movie decided to premiere it on the digital platform after three weeks of theatrical release. It was all set to premiere on aha - an original Telugu streaming platform, on January 29, however, the platform has now postponed its streaming date by a week on February 5. ## "We, at aha, believe that we are a part of the cinema ecosystem and we will always be there to support the industry in every possible way. Telugu superstar, Pawan Kalyan has donated for the construction work of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir. The actor, who is in Tirupati, has announced a sum of Rs 30 lakh as donations to Ram Mandir Trust. Pawan said people across the nation are voluntarily offering donations towards building Ram Mandir.## Kalyan's colleagues and leaders of the Janasena Party – who are from various religions including Christians, Muslims- have also made an additional contribution. Pawan handed over both these cheques for the amount to RSS AP unit head Bharat, in the presence of former minister Kamineni Srinivas.## During the announcement of his donation, the actor-politician expressed his love, bhakti for Lord Shri Ram. It has been a long enough wait for Pawan Kalyan fans to watch superstar on the big screen after the 2018 release Agnyaathavaasi. Well, the wait is finally going to end soon as actor-turned-politician is making a comeback with the upcoming film, Vakeel Saab. The teaser of the much-anticipated film was unleashed on the occasion of Pongal (January 14). ## The teaser of Vakeel Saab, which is the Telugu remake of Bollywood hit Amitabh Bachchan's Pink, which dealt with the subject of consent, gives a glimpse of Pawan Kalyan as a lawyer in a powerful character in the intense courtroom-drama. ## The minute-long teaser video promises an action-packed show that includes action sequences shot inside a metro where Pawan Kalyan is giving a face breaking treatment to the goons. ## Not much has been revealed in the teaser but this looks exciting and promises high-voltage drama. Financial Issues Put Telugu Movie 'Krack' On Hold

It turned out to be an anti-climax for the Telugu movie, Krack which was supposed to hit theaters today, on Saturday (January 9). Produced by reputed producer, Tagore B Madhu, 'Krack' was all set to be Ravi Teja's biggest release before it got into trouble due to a financial clash between the makers and distributors. ## The issue is related to the Tamil film Ayogya which was also produced by Tagore B Madhu a year and a half ago. Ayogya's failure at the box office and the ensuing debts are being cited as the reason behind Krack's financial tussle which has put the movie on hold. ## Due to the clash, première shows in the United States and the morning shows in India were canceled with the hope that the issue will get resolved by the afternoon. However, the uncertainty continues as the rescheduled press show in the afternoon also stood canceled even though a few of the cinema halls premiered the movie. ## While the talks are still on, according to the latest regional reports, the movie might start premiering tonight in theaters. The official confirmation is yet to be made. ## The film directed by Gopichand Malineni stars Ravi Teja as a cop, and Shruti Haasan plays the female lead. Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced that a film city with international standards would be set up on the outskirts of Hyderabad and the government would allot 1500 to 2000 acres of land for the project.## "There are ample opportunities to develop and expand the film industry in the state. Hyderabad is a cosmopolitan city. People from different parts of the country and different mother tongues have settled here. The city has the ability to offer shelter to anyone", the CM said. ## "The state government has the idea of setting up a world-class Film City of Hyderabad. The government will acquire 1500-2000 acres for this purpose. Plots will be allocated to the film production companies to set up studios with state-of-the-art technologies and to suit to needs of the future", he added. ## While stressing out at the fact that around 1 million people directly or indirectly depend upon the film industry, their lives have been affected badly due to the covid-19 pandemic. He called for the resumption of shootings as well as cinema halls, following Coronavirus guidelines.## Film actors Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna met Rao and told him that shootings have resumed.
