Hyderabad, December 27 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule has become the second highest-grossing film in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) after beating superstar Prabhas-fronted Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion in 23 days.## The Sukumar's directorial action drama has grossed approximately 307+ crores in AP-TG in 23 days (including the 4th Friday) as the second biggest grosser, seating between two SS Rajamouli's directorial ventures - Baahubali 2 and RRR. ## Pushpa 2 took one of the biggest openings in Telugu states approximately 89 crores (including previews), before showing a little drop over the first weekend. However, once the ticket prices lowered, the film showed a better trend and remained the first choice of moviegoers since then. ## With no big film until the Sankranthi festival, Pushpa 2 is expected to continue to score and will look to finish around 350 crores gross. Tokyo, December 26 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's Devara - Part 1 is heading to the Japanese cinemas next year. Directed by Koratal Siva, the action drama was released on September 27 this year in India and internationally, grossing over 400 crores at the worldwide box office. ## According to the latest update, Devara will be released in Japan on March 28, 2025. The release is being handled by Twin, the same distributor behind Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD, with ticket sales set to begin on January 3, 2025.## Jr. NTR has a big fan following in Japan, especially after the mega success of SS Rajamouli's directorial RRR, which also stars Ram Charan. Hyderabad, December 23 - Pushpa 2 has a fantastic third weekend with close to 100 crores gross and also topped 1500 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming only the third Indian movie of all time to achieve the feat. ## At the end of the third weekend, the Allu Arjun-fronted action drama has scored approximately 1506 crores gross, including around 1267 crores gross collection at the Indian box office. It is currently the second biggest grosser in India, behind Baahubali 2 (1416 crores), however, in terms of the net collection, Pushpa 2 is the number 1 film. ## The contribution from the dubbed Hindi version has been more than 50% of the total collection of Pushpa 2. In Hindi, the film has grossed around 925 crores worldwide, including over 800 crores at the Indian box office. It will cross 1000 crores gross soon. ## Pushpa 2 will be eyeing to finish its worldwide run as the second-biggest Indian grosser ever. It needs another around 280 crores gross to pip Baahubali 2 (1788 crores) from the second spot. Hyderabad, December 23 - Superstar Allu Arjun's mega box office blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule has emerged as the number-one film in the history of the online ticketing portal, Book My Show in terms of tickets sold. ## In just 17 days, the action drama film has sold 18+ million (1.80+ crores) tickets, beating Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 which sold around 17.10+ million tickets during its lifetime run. SS Rajamouli and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 reportedly sold around 16 million tickets which is the third highest ever. ## Overall, Pushpa 2 has sold more than 50 million (5 crores) tickets in 17 days and has become the most-watched movie in India post the Covid-19 pandemic. Bengaluru, December 22 - It has been a year since Prabhas-fronted action drama Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was released in theatres. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film was one of the highest-grossing Indian titles in 2023 with over 600 crores gross, however, the director expected. ## In a special interview with Kairam Vaashi on the occasion of Salaar's first anniversary, Prashanth Neel opened up about the film's box office performance. It is worth noting that it was Neel's first movie since the mega-blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 and his combination with Prabhas was expected to set the box office on fire. ## While Salaar emerged as a box office success, Neel expressed his disappointment and said that he was not completely happy with the performance as he expected more since a lot of hard work was put into it. However, the maverick filmmaker is super confident on Salaar 2 which is scheduled to hit the big screens in 2026. ## "I decided to make Salaar2 into one of my best movies. The writing I have put into the film has been probably one of my best works. I'm going to make it more than I can imagine and more than the audience can imagine. It is something that unquestionably will be one of my best works", Neel said. ## Meanwhile, Neel will next team up with superstar Jr. NTR for action drama, slated to go on floors early next year. Hyderabad, December 21 - Mythri Movie Makers' action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has topped 5 crore footfalls at the Indian box office in 17 days, becoming the second movie after Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 to achieve the feat post the Covid-19 pandemic. ## The movie has been selling over 1 million tickets almost every day since its release on December 5. On its second Saturday (17th day), it has topped 50 million admissions in India and is set to beat KGF 2 which sold approximately 5.10 crore tickets in its lifetime run in all versions. ## The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 has alone generated 3+ crores of footfalls, followed by the original Telugu version (1.50 crores) while Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions have sold 50+ lakh tickets so far. It has become the second Telugu movie after Baahubali 2 to sell 5+ crores of tickets in India. ## Overall, the Allu Arjun-starrer is the 15th Indian movie ever to score 5 crores or more footfalls and it is likely to finish among the top 10 movies of all time at the end of its box office run. Mumbai, December 21 - SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 starring Prabhas, finally has a company in the 1000 crores net club as Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule joined the lonely leader after more than 7 years. ## The closest to reach Baahubali 2 previously was Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 (860 crores net) and Pushpa 2 not only surpassed that but went on to join the former, taking just 16 days as the fastest film to achieve this rare box office milestone. ## Just like Baahubali 2, the contribution from the dubbed Hindi version has more than 50% in Pushpa 2's overall collection. In 16 days so far, the movie has minted approximately 630+ crores net collection in Hindi out of 1000+ crores net total. It is also the biggest Hindi grosser of all time and the first to breach the 600 crores mark. ## The original Telugu version of Pushpa 2 is nearing the 300 crores mark while the dubbed Tamil version is the third most contributor with around 53 crores net. Hyderabad, December 20 - Dulquer Salmaan's period crime drama film Lucky Bashkar has extended its big box office success into the digital platform as the movie has turned out to be a jackpot for Netflix which is the official post-theatrical streaming partner of the film in all languages. ## The Venky Atluri's directorial was made available on Netflix on November 28, which is 4 weeks after the theatrical release. In its opening weekend, the movie generated 5.1 million views on Netflix which is one of the highest for an Indian title.## The movie witnessed an upward trend in the second week and scored 6.6 million views, followed by another 3.3 million views in the third week (December 9 - 15). In the first 17 days, Lucky Bashkar scored 14.90 million views, making it the 5th most-watched Indian title of 2024 on Netflix. ## Lucky Bashkar is likely to beat Do Patti (17 million views), Laapataa Ladies (17.1 million views) and Crew (17.9 million views) to become the second most-watched title of the year. Mumbai, December 18 - Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has become the highest-grossing Hindi net grosser and the first to clear 600 crores net collection in Hindi within two weeks since its release on December 5, becoming the biggest blockbuster. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 has surpassed the lifetime collection of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror comedy Stree 2 (598 crores net approx.) on its 14th day to become the number 1 movie of all time in Hindi. Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan is at the third palace with 582 crores net collection. ## Pushpa 2 has been on a record-breaking run since the opening day and so far, it has put up a sensational show at the box office. Hyderabad, December 17 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was one of the biggest Indian grossers of 2023 and now, it has turned out to be a huge success on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar as well in the dubbed Hindi version. ## The Hindi version of Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, was acquired by Hotstar while the other versions streamed on Netflix. Since its digital release on February 16 this year, the Hindi version of the film has continuously been trending in the top 10 in India. ## It has been continuous more than 300 days for the movie in the top 10 on Hotstar, making it the first film ever to do so. While the viewership numbers are not provided, Salaar is easily the most-watched Indian title on Hotstar and this is building up the excitement for its sequel which is due to hit big screens in 2026. ## Salaar is produced by Hombale Films which will bankroll three more films, including Salaar 2, of Prabhas in the next few years. The success of Salaar's Hindi version, both at the box office and on streaming, gives the studio a chance to plan bigger things for the sequel just like KGF: Chapter 2, and the makers have promised the same. ## The film stars Prabhas in the titular role alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, and Sriya Reddy in key roles. Mumbai, December 15 - Pushpa 2 has become the third highest-grossing Indian movie at the worldwide box office in just less than 11 days since its release on December 5. ## With the ongoing 11th day (2nd Sunday), Pushpa 2 - The Rule is expected to be around 1300 crores gross globally, surpassing the lifetime worldwide total of SS Rajamouli's epic RRR (1230 crores gross) and Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 (1215 crores gross) to become the third biggest Indian grosser. ## The Sukumar's directorial blockbuster is now behind Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (1790 crores gross) and Aamir Khan's Dangal (2070 crores gross) which are currently the biggest Indian titles. Pushpa 2 indicates long legs and it might pip BB2 in the long run to become the number 2 grosser which needs to be seen. ## At the Indian box office, Pushpa 2 also crosses 1000 crores gross on Sunday and becomes only the third movie after Baahubali 2 (1417 crores gross) and KGF: Chapter 2 (1000 crores gross).
