The magnum opus, directed by maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli, is gearing up for the widest ever release for an Indian film on March 25 worldwide. It also stars Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt in prominent roles. ## After the "RRR", the "Janatha Garage" actor will reportedly be teaming up with director Buchi Babu Sana, who made his debut last year with the blockbuster "Uppena". NTR's film with Buchi Babu has been in the talks for some time now. It was supposed to be launched in February 2022, but the launch was delayed for some reason.## Now, the latest development is that the movie will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers and will reportedly be launched on April 11 this year. Hyderabad, March 12 - Prabhas' love affair with the box office continues!## It was a box office bonanza at the Indian box office on Friday when superstar and darling of the fans, Prabhas' "Radhe Shyam" shot up to the biggest opening for an Indian film in 2022. With Rs. 50.30 crores gross on the first day, "Radhe Shyam" has also become the second biggest Indian movie during the covid-19 pandemic, behind only Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise", which grossed a mighty Rs. 52.80 crores in December 2021. ## The Radha Krishna Kumar-directed, as expected, performed significantly well in the Telugu version, grossing Rs. 44.35 crores, including Rs. 37.60 crores in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The AP/TG area-wise gross for the opening day was Rs. 25.68 crores, which is the 11th biggest of all time. It also emerged as the 3rd biggest opener in Nizam with Rs. 10.80 crores gross share.## Apart from Telugu, the second biggest market for "Radhe Shyam" was Hindi, in which it performed lower than expected. The Hindi version contributed approx. Rs. 5.50 crores gross on Friday while other versions grossed approx. 45 lakhs. On the brighter side, "Radhe Shyam", scored the 5th biggest opening day in Hindi for a South Indian movie. ## Overseas, the period romantic film spread love all over and minted approx. Rs. 15 crores on the first day, helping worldwide cume to reach a super Rs. 65.30 crores. "Radhe Shyam" has also become India's biggest worldwide opening in 2022, beating Pawan Kalyan's "Bheemla Nayak", which grossed Rs. 56 crores in February. ## The film, set in Europe of the 1970s, tells the story of Vikramaditya (Prabhas), a palmist who is conflicted between destiny and his love for Prerana (Pooja Hegde). During the said period, the "Saaho" signed films after films that appeal to global audiences. He is one of the actors who like to finish one film before moving on to the next. But the pandemic made him work on multiple projects simultaneously to keep the fans entertaining once things turn normal. ## During a recent interview while promoting "Radhe Shyam", Prabhas explained the reason behind taking multiple films simultaneously. Being one of the fan favorites and called 'darling' by his well-wishers, the "Baahubali" star said that he loves to entertain his fans continously which is the main reason behind signing so many films. ## "I have signed many films for a reason. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in prominent roles. Then he has Sandeep Reddy Vanga's "Spirit", in which he will play a cop for the first time in his career. The shooting for the same is expected to begin towards the end of this year. ## Prabhas also has director Maruthi's upcoming movie, for which the announcement is expected to be made soon.
