Mumbai, April 16 - Bollywood star Ranveer Singh is gearing up for the release of the Yash Raj Production, Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Directed by debutante Divyang Thakkar, the movie is touted to be a unique subject that has enough comic moments along with a strong social message. ## Yash Raj Films recently reportedly held a special screening in Mumbai in which it got anonymous thundering applause from the viewers. "I think it's safe for me to say that Ranveer has delivered the performance of a lifetime. It's one for the ages. Something that will set him apart from his contemporaries because only he could have brought Jayeshbhai to life in this endearing and soulful manner", Producer Maneesh Sharma said after the screening. ## Meanwhile, with less than a month to go for the release of Jayeshbhai Jordaar, the makers are finally planning to release the trailer to start the promotional activities. The movie, which tells the brutal reality of the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits, became a movement as the audience flock to cinemas to watch it. It has grossed over 335 crores worldwide and become one of the all-time blockbusters of Indian cinema. ## The Kashmir Files is the second film in Agnihotri's "Files" trilogy, after "The Tashkent Files". His last movie, "Zero", could do well at the box office, post which, King Khan decided to take a break before returning to the movies again. He returned to the sets with Siddharth Anand's "Pathaan" in 2020, but the covid-19 pandemic further delayed his plans. "Pathaan" is now gearing up for January 25, 2023, release. The shoot for the same is almost done except few scenes. ## Shah Rukh Khan, however, is making sure that there is not much gap anymore between his next films, and thus, he is also shooting for director Atlee's action entertainer with Nayanthara and Sanya Malhotra as the female leads. Now, the big news is that the superstar has commenced the filming of director Rajkumar Hirani's social comedy-drama film in Mumbai today (April 15). ## Last year, it was reported that SRK would be teaming up with Rajkumar Hirani, and the shooting for the same was expected to begin in later 2021, however, due to SRK's personal issues and the rise in Omicron cases in India forced the makers to postpone the shooting plans. With things getting back to normal, Raju Hirani has finally taken the film on floors as the first brief schedule has commenced in Mumbai's Film City Studios, where a huge set replicating a Punjab village is being recreated. ## SRK and Hirani's maiden collaboration will reportedly focus on illegal immigration called "donkey flight", which has emerged as a popular escape path for Indians hoping to immigrate to the US and Canada. While she played the lead in Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed, the actress featured in an extended cameo in "RRR", and her performance has widely been praised. ## "RRR" marked Alia's maiden collaboration with director SS Rajamouli as well as with Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. After the release of the film, there were many reports claiming that Alia was not happy with Rajamouli for her lesser screen time, however, she later ruled out such reports and said that she enjoyed her time in the film and would love to team up again with "RRR" trio. ## During a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rajamouli was asked about giving a short role to Alia, in terms of length. The filmmaker said that Alia's role was always designed like that according to the demand of the story. He also shared the same with Alia when she was approached to play the role of Sita, and she was completely ok with that, in fact, she was more than excited to join a Rajamouli film. ## The "Baahubali" director also said that he would love to team up with Alia again. "I really like Alia, I adore her a lot for the kind of acting prowess she has. The Prabhas-fronted mythological film based on the epic Ramayana, which also stars Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, will feature "Jannat" actress Sonal Chauhan in a prominent role. ## Without revealing much about the role she is playing in the film, Sonal Chauhan said (via ETimes), "Yes, I'm a part of Adipurush and I'm excited about it. It's a very different world from the kind of work I've done so far. I am sure the audience will enjoy the magnum opus that is Adipurush". ## Even though Sonal made her debut with the Bollywood movie, "Jannat" in 2008, she is very well known to the Telugu audiences as well. She has acted in the hit films like "Legend", "Dictator", "Ruler", and "Pandaga Chesko", among others. Sonal's last film was a Hindi movie, "The Power", which was released in 2021. ## "Adipurush" is one of the costliest films ever in Indian cinema. Mumbai, April 11 - Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's all-time blockbuster, "The Kashmir Files" has stormed past the 250 crores net mark and becomes the 13th biggest Hindi grosser of all time. The hard-hitting drama movie, based on true facts, took 32 days to reach the box office milestone. ## "The Kashmir Files" box office run so far has been phenomenal as no one had thought this film would reach this far. It opened with a decent 3.55 crores, but once the public opinion was out, it became unstoppable. The demand for the tickets was such a huge that it even knocked down Prabhas-starrer "Radhe Shyam", and Akshay Kumar's "Bachchhan Paandey" a week later. ## Produced by Abhishek Agarwal in association with Zee Studios and I Am Buddha, TKF's box office run is slowing down with new releases taking the charge, but it has accomplished its job, in fact, it has crossed even the highest of expectations trade had before the release. It currently stands at 250.10 crores. ## Among the biggest Hindi movies of all time at the domestic box office, TKF is at number 3 and is most likely to settle with that. It needs another 21 crores more to topple "Dhoom 3" to become the 12th biggest Hindi movie, but this looks like a Hercules task at this point in time. Makers Announce Shoot Wrap For Ishaan Khatter And Mrunal Thakur's War Drama 'Pippa'

Mumbai, April 11 - The makers of the upcoming war drama movie, "Pippa", starring Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur in the leads, on Monday (April 11) announced that the shoot wrap for Ishaan, who plays the role of war hero Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta in the movie. ## Based on the book The Burning Chaffees by Balram Singh Mehta who fought during the Indo-Pak war in 1971, "Pippa" is directed by Raja Krishna Menon of Airlift fame while Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur will produce it under their respective production banners, RSVP Movies, and Roy Kapur Films.## The movie, which was announced in 2020, is billed as a heroic tank battle film that underscores the bravery of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, a veteran of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron, who, along with his siblings, fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. The battle, called the "Battle of Garibpur", was fought 12 days before India officially joined the war against Pakistan. ## "Pippa" also stars Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan in prominent roles while maestro AR Rahman has composed the music. Mumbai, April 10 - Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn, in August 2017, confirmed that he would be working on the sequel of his superhit film "Son of Sardaar", but said that it would take some time to start rolling. Later in 2019, director Ashwni Dhir confirmed that there were working on a comedy film, but again, the movie couldn't go on floors due to some reasons, and then the covid thing happened. ## And now, with things easing up and life returning to normal, the filmmakers are setting up new ventures all over again. It is said that Ajay Devgn has decided to go ahead with the second part of "Son of Sardaar", pulse, he is looking to make it a blockbuster franchise. ## Senior writer Robin Bhatt who helmed the writing and screenplay of the first part has confirmed the development of "SOS 2" and the modalities are fast being worked out. The script work is still in the early stage and might take some time before getting ready to roll out the project. ## Meanwhile, according to ETimes, despite Robin Bhatt confirming the above story, Ajay Devgn's production house, Ajay Devgn Films has denied an immediate plan or discussion on making "Son of Sardaar 2".
