Mumbai, September 20, 2021: Sony Pictures Films India (SPFI) has a big announcement for Indian movie lovers. The film studio has announced that it will release over 17 films in the next 12 months in India. These films include blockbuster Hollywood movies as well as Indian films. ## "Sony Pictures Films India (SPFI) is all set to redefine blockbuster entertainment with over 17 fresh releases slated for the next 12 months. Welcome back to larger-than-life, joyful, big-ticket films and the immerse magic of storytelling that we have all missed so much", the company said in a statement. ## Among the Hollywood movies, Studio will release in the coming months, Tom Hardy's "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" will release on October 15 while "Spider-Man: No Way Home" will debut in theaters on December 17. During this period, the studio will also release films like "Resident Evil", "Ghostbusters: Afterlife", "Morbius", among others. ## On the other hand, Sony India has "Looop Lapeta", "Major", "Nikamma", "Tera Kya Hoga Lovely", among a few other Indian films lined up for the release. A Documentary Series On Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan Is In The Making

From the beginning of his career to become the superstar, Salman's 33-years of journey in the film industry has nothing been short of a rollercoaster ride, in which he has had his share of ups and downs. ## While the fans of Salman will see plenty of films of him in the future, a docu-series on the actor is also in the making and it has reportedly been titled "Beyond The Star - Salman Khan". To chronicle Salman's journey to stardom and also give a glimpse to the audience about the lesser-known facts of the actor, SKF Films in association with Wiz Films and Applause Entertainment are producing the series. ## According to Pinkvilla, "All the key stakeholders of Salman's career – right from family to his co-stars, directors, and producers – will be a part of this docu-series. The prep work has already begun and the interviews with Salman's colleagues will be done in the coming few months". ## It is reported that the producers are in talks with an OTT platform for the premiere of the series. Meanwhile, a documentary is being made on Salman's father, the celebrated writer Salim Khan and his partnership with the legendary, Javed Akhtar. The Salim – Javed story is being conceptualized by Farhan and Zoya Akhtar with Salman for Netflix. ## Apart from the documentary series, Salman will next be seen in "Antim - The Final Truth", in which he plays a Sikh cop while his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma plays a gangster. The shooting of the film is completed and is expected to release later this year. ## Salman is currently shooting for YRF's "Tiger 3" in Austria with Katrina Kaif in the lead. Actor Sonu Sood Evaded Over Rs. 20 Crore In Taxes, Violated FCRA Norms, Claims IT Department

Mumbai, September 18, 2021: The Income Tax department, which had speed up and widened its tax evasion probe against actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, has claimed in a statement that the actor has evaded taxes of over Rs. 20 crore. ## After conducting raids at the actor's premise for three days in a row at different locations, the department today said that it has found incriminating evidence pertaining to tax evasion during the search. "The main modus operandi followed by the actor had been to route his unaccounted income in the form of bogus unsecured loans from many bogus entities", the IT department said in a statement. ## Sonu Sood has been hailed as massiah for his philanthropical efforts during the covid-19 lockdown and tried to help people as much as he could. He had recently announced a tie-up with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party.## "Investigations so far have revealed use of 20 such entries, the providers of which, on examination, have accepted on oath to have given bogus accommodation entries. They have accepted to have issued cheques in lieu of cash. There have been instances where professional receipts have been camouflaged as loans in the books of accounts for the purpose of evasion of tax. It has also been revealed that these bogus loans have been used for making investments and acquiring properties. The total amount of tax evaded unearthed so far, amounts to more than Rs. 20 crore", the statement further read.## The CBDT said that the foundation has collected donations worth Rs. 18.94 crore from April 1, 2021, till date, out of which it has spent around Rs. 1.9 crore towards various relief work while the balance of Rs. 17 crore has been found lying unutilised in the bank account of the foundation.## "It is seen that funds to the tune of Rs. 2.1 crore have also been raised by the charity foundation from overseas donors on a crowdfunding platform in violation of (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) FCRA regulations", the CBDT statement added.## The department also said that cash of Rs 1.8 crore has been seized during the searches and 11 lockers have been placed under prohibitory order. Mumbai, September 17, 2021: Earlier in the year, there were reports claiming that actress Taapsee Pannu was to be cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in director Rajkumar Hirani's social drama film based on illegal immigration. ## While there is no official confirmation yet on the same, it has now been reportedly confirmed that the actress is indeed playing the female lead opposite SRK. It will be the first time when she will share screen space with SRK. ## "Taapsee is on board. She is doing Hirani's film. But she is not allowed to talk about it. Until the news is official, she cannot comment on it. The producers, Shah Rukh's Red Chillies and Hirani's production house will make the announcement soon", a source close to the development told Cinema Journal. ## The film will mark Shah Rukh Khan's maiden collaboration with Hirani. The duo was supposed to collaborate in Munna Bhai MBBS but things didn't work out. Meanwhile, the maiden collaboration of SRK-Hirani is not a regular Bollywood social drama but rather deals with a broader immigration issue. ## The movie will reportedly focus on illegal immigration called "donkey flight", which has emerged as a popular escape path for Indians hoping to immigrate to the US and Canada. Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in Anand L Rai's "Zero" in 2018, will reportedly start shooting on Hirani's film in May 2022. Mumbai, September 16, 2021: A long production journey for Aamir Khan starrer "Laal Singh Chaddha" finally comes to an end as the shoot of this "Forrest Gump" remake has been wrapped up. The movie, which went on floors on 31st October 2019, was delayed multiple times due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## The comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan is an adaptation of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself is based on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name. Apart from Aamir Khan, the movie also stars Kareena Kapoor as the female lead and Naga Chaitanya in his Hindi debut. ## Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, and Viacom18 Studios, Laal Singh Chaddha has been filmed in more than 100 Indian locations since it begin production in 2019. It was also filmed in Turkey, for the recce of a new shoot before it resumed shoot in Mumbai, India in 2020. ## It is one of the most-awaited films, which was earlier supposed to release on Christmas 2020. But due to the pandemic, it has been postponed to Christmas 2021 in cinemas. The movie has been titled "Garud" and is set for August 15, 2022, release. ## Having backed films like "Parmanu", "Romeo Akbar Walter", Ajay Kapoor returns to the same zone with his upcoming film "Attack" and newly announced "Garud", collaborating with Subhash Kale after working together in "Roy" and "All Is Well". Mumbai, September 14, 2021: Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Fardeen Khan, who were last seen together in "Heyy Babyy", will be reuniting after 14 years in filmmaker Sanjay Gupta's next. The film, titled "Visfot" is the official Hindi remake of the 2012 Venezuelan film "Rock Paper Scissors". ## The Sanjay Gupta production, "Visfot", will mark Fardeen Khan's comeback in movies after nearly a decade. He was last seen in Mudassar Aziz's 2010 romantic-comedy, Dulha Mil Gaya. In "Visfot", the actor will reportedly be seen playing the role of a taxi driver and an ex-drug dealer while Deshmukh will play a commercial airline pilot. ## The film is said to be revolving around Khan's character who kidnaps Deshmukh's son by mistake, which will unleash a chain of delicate events that'll be tragic for everyone involved. He is currently shooting for Siddharth Anand's YRF spy thriller "Pathan" as well as Atlee Kumar's untitled film. ## While "Pathan" marks his official comeback on the big screens, Atlee's film will be his next after this actioner. Once he finished working on Pathan and Atlee's film, Shah Rukh Khan will movie to the keenly awaited Rajkumar Hirani's social drama film. It will mark SRK's first collaboration with Hirani, the director behind Sanju, PK, 3 Idiots, and Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. films. ## Hirani's film with SRK is currently in the pre-production stage. Taapsee Pannu is said to be the frontrunner to play the leading lady, however, she hasn't been signed as yet. Hirani has always done with scripting and has already begun recce in Punjab. Meanwhile, after completing a short schedule of Atlee's film, SRK will head abroad for a month-long schedule in October to shoot the action sequence of Pathan.
