Mumbai, August 16, 2021: Earlier in May this year, it was reported that Riteish Deshmukh would be making his digital debut with Netflix. The details about the project were revealed much but it was reported that Veere Di Wedding director Shashanka Ghosh would be helming the film which was said to be a romantic-comedy. ## Well, it has been confirmed now, and the movie has been titled "Plan A Plan B". Tamannaah Bhatia will be starring as the female lead alongside Riteish Deshmukh. Riteish is playing a matchmaker while Tamannah essays the role of a divorce lawyer. The film also stars Poonam Dhillon and Kusha Kapila in key roles. Rajat Arora has written and produced the film. ## Riteish took to Twitter and shared his excitement about making a digital debut. From the last couple of years, there are reports that the actor is looking to return to the comedy genre that seems the most natural to him, after his phenomenal work in films like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Ready, Kick, and Partner. ## Well, it seems that his search for a comedy film is finally over as he is in talks with director Anees Bazmee for an outright comic caper. According to reports, Salman will reprise his iconic charactor Prem in Bazmee's film that will be produced by his home banner Salman Khan Films in association with Zee Studios and Murad Khetani. ## "After acting in comedies like Andaz Apna Apna, Biwi No. 1, Judwaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, No Entry, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Partner and Ready, Salman has been keen to do another comedy for a while now. He was on the lookout for the right script and it seems to have finally come his way as he has been in advanced conversation with Anees Bazmee and other stakeholders over the last month for this comic entertainer", says to a source quoted in Pinkvilla. ## Earlier, there were reports that Salman will collaborate with Murad Khetani for the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster Master. However, the latest development suggests that has backed out from the project as he doesn't want to do direct remakes anymore. With this comedy, the two have finally arrived on the same page, though the paperwork is still underway. The movie, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, is based on the life of army captain Vikram Batra who sacrificed his life during the Kargil War. Before Shershaah, Karan had produced patriotic films like the Raazi, Kesari, and Gunjan Saxena, which became blockbusters. ## Now, according to reports, the renowned filmmaker is developing a script on the life of freedom fighter Usha Mehta, under his production banner Dharma Productions. Usha Mehta was a Gandhian and freedom fighter of India who ran an underground pirate radio called Congress Radio during the Quit India Movement and gave tough time to the British Government. ## Post-Independence, Usha Mehta was conferred with Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award of India. It is a heroic story of India's one of the unsung heroes and the creative team at Dharma has been working on this script for a while now. The script is said to be based on the play, Khar Khar, written by Amatya Goradia and Pritesh Sodha. The movie will be directed by Kannan Iyer, who is also writing the script with Darab Farooqui, as per pinkvilla. ## For Usha Mehta's biopic, Dharma Productions is currently in search of a top A-list actress who can do justice to the charactor. Apart from Mehta's biopic, Karan recently announced the untold story of C. Sankaran Nair, who fought legendary courtroom battle to uncover the truth about Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. ## Interestingly, it's not only Karan Johar who is bringing freedom fighters to life. Earlier in the day, producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri also announced a film franchise, Azad Hind, as a tribute to the unsung heroes of the Indian Independence fight. The first film in the franchise will bring to life the untold story of Veerangana Durgawati Devi popularly called Durga Bhabhi. ## Meanwhile, Karan Johar is gearing up to begin his directorial return film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The movie, which is yet to be announced officially, went on floors in March this year with Salman and Katrina, who reprise their roles as RAW and ISI agents respectively in the film. ## The film, being directed by Maneesh Sharma, has Emraan Hashmi on board to lock horns with Salman Khan as ISI agents. He teamed up with Marathi filmmaker Kishor Pandurang Belekar, who's known for directing award-winning theatre plays and films like Sa Sasucha (2010) and Yeda (2013). ## Now, the latest development is that Padmavat actress Aditi Rao Hydari has reportadly been cast to play the leading lady in this ambitious venture. The film is said to be a dark comedy with elements from Mahatma Gandhi's principles as the backdrop. It depicts the harsh realities of today's times and how Gandhi has become a prime witness of everything that he stood against. ## Gandhi Talks will be produced by Zee Studios in association with Movie Mill Entertainment. The film marks Sethupathi and Hydari's second collaboration after Mani Ratnam's critically acclaimed 2018 gangster drama, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which also starred Silambarasan, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Aishwarya Rajesh, among others in prominant roles. ## The Oscar winner A.R. Rahman will be composing the background score for the film. It is a Pan-India film that will release in six languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Gandhi Talks is the first multi-lingual silent feature film in 34 years. Kamal Haasan's career-defining 1987 black comedy, Pushpak, was the last noteworthy dialogue-free film to be released in various languages across India. ## It is reported that director Kishor Belekar has spent 19 years on the script of the film, which is finally set to take off. Mumbai, August 13, 2021: Earlier this year, the director Siddharth Anand announced his collaboration with actors Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. The film, titled "Fighter", is to be India's first-ever aerial action-thriller franchise, for which, Anand joined hands with Viacom18 Studios to produce the movie. ## Initially, the movie was announced with the release date, which was September 30, 2022. However, due to the second covid-19 wave, the movie couldn't go on floors. Now the makers are planning to take the movie on floors in early next year, and keeping that in mind, Fighter has been slated to release on Republic Day (26 January) 2023 in theaters worldwide. ## Fighter marks Siddharth Anand's maiden production under his banner MARFLIX. It will jointly produce by Mamta Anand, Ajit Andhare, Ramon Chibb, and Anku Pande under the banners of MARFLIX and Viacom18 Studios. The movie will be made on budget of around Rs. 250 crores. Ammy Virk And Sonam Bajwa Starrer 'Puaada' Brings Audience Back To Theaters

Chandigarh, August 13, 2021: The first big Punjabi movie in one and a half years, Puaada starring Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa takes a good start at the box office upon its release on August 12. The rom-com hasn't got a wider release due to restrictions but it has done well to bring the audience to the theaters. ## The film has been released in around 75 theatres only when normally it would be around 175 in East Punjab. With the help of decent buzz before its release, the movie sold around 2800 tickets to PVR cinemas before its release which is on par with the 2020 Punjabi release, Sufna. Sufna also had sold 2800 tickets in PVR before release. ## Puaada saw good footfalls on day 1 even without three key properties including the highest collecting cinema for Punjabi films PVR Mohali and also no night shows in Delhi or Chandigarh. After seeing the good response on the first day, more and more shows and theaters are expected to come into play in the coming days. ## There were some multiplexes that recorded around 100 audience counts in the morning shows while single screens and non-national multiplex chains were even better as they recorded audience counts of 200 and even full houses. The collection of the movie is expected to remain low due to limited release in the first couple of days but it should pick up the pace over the weekend as more theaters and shows will be added. ## Irrespective of what will be the collection of Puaada, the audience is coming to theaters which is a good sign and a big boost to upcoming Hindi films. The things are improving with each passing day and it is a matter of time when movies start performing as pre-covid era or close to it at the box office. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, August 12, 2021: Actress Vidya Balan has reunited with Tumhari Sulu director Suresh Triveni's "Jalsa". Balan has been joined by versatile actress Shefali Shah to lead the cast of the film that has commenced filming in Mumbai today on August 12. Jalsa is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and Suresh Triveni.## Talking about Jalsa and her reunion with Suresh Triveni, Vidya Balan said, "I'm very excited to collaborate again with Suresh. Tumhari Sulu was a one-of-a-kind, fun experience and I look forward to us creating something special with Jalsa.
