Mumbai, February 1 - Tom Hiddleston got his first-ever solo Marvel project when "Loki" season 1 opened up in summer 2021. The 6-episode Disney+ series, based on Marvel comic book charactor, opened up the door to Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) multiverse upon its release. ## The series, created by Michael Waldron, was one of the most loved Marvel projects of 2021 on Disney+ and it eventually set the tone for Marvel Studios to take some of the franchise's biggest steps toward expanding the universe in Phase 4. Although, it was the most pirated show of 2021, "Loki" became the marvel project to officially greenlit for season 2. ## Season 2 of "Loki" was confirmed during the end credit of the final episode of Season 1, however, it was not revealed when will season 2 commence and will release. But now, there is good news regarding the same for the fans of Hiddleston's God of Mischief.## According to Backstage (The Direct), Marvel Studios is planning to commence the shoot of Tom Hiddleston's "Loki" season 2 in London in the Summer of 2022. It is reported that the filming is set to take place at the United Kingdom's Pinewood Studios, though the casting details were not confirmed yet. Meanwhile, Hiddleston's Loki will appear in the feature "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", due in May 2022. ## There is, however, no idea what is going to happen in season 2 of "Loki". Given the fact that MCU's Multiversal storyline has so much in store, there are plenty of variables in play for what could happen in Loki Season 2. We might get a little bit of the idea after the release of "Doctor Strange 2". ## It is reported that the filming of "Loki" season 2 might take a minimum of 6 months, so the release of the show is unlikely before summer 2023. Prabhas-Fronted Two-Part 'Salaar' Will Now Release In 2023?

Hyderabad, January 31 - The covid-19 pandemic is still taking a toll on the Indian film industry as the release dates of the tentpole titles are getting reshuffled again. The entire release calendar (apart from a few films) of the first half of 2022 has been rescheduled. ## Apart from the reshuffling of the release dates this year, there might be a couple of films that may get pushed to the next year. One such film is "Salaar", starring Prabhas. The Kannada - Telugu bilingual movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, was slated to release in April this year. However, the movie is still under production and might take a significant time in the post-production work. ## "Salaar" is being made on a bigger scale and it will reportedly be darker than Yash-starrer "KGF", which is also directed by Neel under the same production house, Hombale Films. Going by the recent reports and strong buzz, "Salaar", just like "KGF", will also be released in two parts, with the first part is now slated for the 2023 release. ## Since the entire 2022 is packed with blockbuster titles, the makers of "Salaar" have reportedly decided to release the first part of the film in 2023. Though there is no official confirmation yet, the big push, however, looks inevitable considering the fact that the movie is yet to be completed, plus, there is hardly any clear release window left in 2022. It is a Pan-India film and will release in multiple languages. ## Prabhas, meanwhile, will still have two releases this year in the form of "Radhe Shyam", and "Adipurush". Directed by Radha Krishan Kumar, "Radhe Shyam" will be released on March 11 after being pushed from January 14. It is a Hindi-Telugu bilingual film that will also release in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. ## "Adiprush", on the other hand, will be released on August 11 as originally scheduled. Directed by Om Raut of "Tanhaji" fame, "Adipurush" is based on the Hindu epic "Ramayana". It is again a Hindi-Telugu bilingual movie that, according to reports, will be released in 15 languages (domestic+international) worldwide on over 20000 screens. Mumbai, January 31 - Ever since the release date of the film "Why I Killed Gandhi" has been announced, the movie has given fresh air to the controversy. The All India Cine Workers Association had written a letter to PM Modi demanding a ban on the film Why I Killed Gandhi.## However, on January 31, the Supreme Court of India refused to entertain the plea seeking a stay on streaming of the film on the OTT platform, Limelight. While granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the High Court, the SC said in their order - ## "Writ petition under Art 32 may only be filed when there is a question of violation of Fundamental Right. No Fundamental Right of the petitioner appears to have been violated. However, it appears that the petitioner is a citizen and may have a serious cause of concern. Petitioner is at liberty to approach the High Court under Art 226. This petition is not entertained".## The film "Why I Killed Gandhi", which was released on Limelight OTT on January 30, has been alleged to justify the killing of Mahatama Gandhi. Mumbai, January 31 - Netflix took a giant step to lure the Indian audiences by announcing the two-season prequel series of SS Rajamouli's all-time blockbuster feature "Baahubali", back in 2018. The streaming giant collaborated with Arka Mediaworks to produce the series with Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru to direct. ## The first season of the prequel series, titled "Baahubali: Before The Beginning" was directed by Katta using sets in Hyderabad. However, Netflix was reportedly not happy with the finished project, which led to the cancellation of the show, reports Variety. It was later reported that the show went through casting changes other than directors, including one who had directed two previous Netflix projects. ## However, despite months of preparation and planning, Netflix couldn't reach the final outcome of the show, which led to the speculation that the streamer has shelved the project. It was reported that the continuous delay in production cost Netflix a whopping Rs. 150 crores loss. ## While it is true that "Baahubali: Before The Beginning" is currently not in production, unlike speculations and reports, it is not shelved. According to Variety, the show is now being reevaluated, and will now begin only after proper planning to bring the best version of this story. ## "'Baahubali: Before the Beginning' is one of the country's most loved IPs (but) creating India's first epic series comes with its own challenges", the source told Variety. The action-thriller, an outright Telugu movie with minimal Hindi promotion, currently stands at Rs. 99.89 crores after the 7th weekend and will cross 100 crores on Monday. ## This box office achievement of "Pushpa - The Rise" has come at a time when most of the trade pundits ruled it out to go big. They seemed to be right after "Pushpa" (Hindi) had an average opening of Rs. 3.33 crores. One such film is the recently released Tamil blockbuster "Maanaadu", starring Simbu with S.J Suryah and Kalyani Priyadarshan. ## Directed by Venkat Prabhu, "Maanaadu" is a science fiction action thriller film that was highly appreciated by the audience and critics alike, with major praises coming in for making the complex concept of time-loop in a simplistic manner. The concept of the film not only attracted the Tamil audiences but also found the attention of Hindi and Telugu filmmakers. ## The Telugu production house, Suresh Productions headed by Suresh Babu recently acquired the remake rights of the film in all languages. After what "Pushpa - The Rise" has done in Hindi, the anticipation for the second part is sky high among the fans as well as in trade.## As per the industry sources, the theatrical and post-theatrical rights of "Pushpa - The Rule" are in huge demand. But there hasn't been much development since then and many guessed that the studio might have dropped the idea of its sequel. It might also be because "Joker", despite all the accolades, received harsh criticism for its depiction of mental illness. ## However, according to the latest reports, "Joker 2" is very much on and Warner Bros. has even started the pre-production work on the sequel. Los Angeles, January 30 - The Marvel/Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man: No Way Home", which has already broken several box office records worldwide, has now become bigger than the combined first two Spider-Man movies featuring Tom Holland at the domestic (North America) box office. ## The finale of Tom Holland's Homecoming trilogy grossed $2.75 million on its 7th Friday, pushing the film's total domestic cume to $727.6 million. The "No Way Home's" total domestic cume is $2.9 million higher than the combined total of "Spider-Man: Homecoming", and "Spider-Man: Far From Home". ## "Spider-Man: Homecoming", which was released in 2017, had grossed $334.2 million at the domestic box office, while its worldwide total reached $880.1 million. On the other hand, "Spider-Man: Far From Home", released in 2019, did better than "Homecoming" and grossed $390.5 million domestically and $1.1 billion globally.## However, there shouldn't be any comparison among all three Spider-Man movies in the Homecoming trilogy. While the first two Tom Holland-fronted Spidey flicks were released when there was no covid-19, "No Way Home" has battled the pandemic all the way and how.
