Los Angeles, September 10, 2021: Christopher Nolan, the man behind movies like Inception, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Tenet, among many others, is next developing a project centered on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who is considered one of the developers of the atom bomb during World War II. ## Nolan's movies have always attracted audiences worldwide, resulted in, his directorial films have grossed more than US$5 billion worldwide. Many Studios have tried their hands to grab movies of this master storyteller. In the past, Warner Bros. has been the home of almost all Nolan's movies, however, for a change, Nolan's new movie isn't being automatically set up at Warner Bros.## According to a report in THR, Nolan and his team are talking to Sony and Universal, with conversations also taking place with Warners and Paramount at the highest executive levels. While no offers have been made yet, the top priority of Nolan is to give the movie a theatrical release as Nolan is one of the filmmakers who has been a vocal proponent of the theatrical experience. ## However, the report also suggests that streamers are not out of the race completely to grab the distribution rights as a platform like Netflix has been willing to grant theatrical runs to certain filmmakers. ## Nolan's last movie, Tenet, a science fiction action thriller film, was released exclusively in theaters amid the covid-19 pandemic. It was the first film that was released only in theaters when the pandemic was peaking. Hyderabad, September 10, 2021: Telugu movie "Tuck Jagadish" was one of the films that were put on hold for a long time to give it a theatrical release. However, the prevailing covid-19 situation and restrictions on theaters forced the makers of this Nani starrer to go for the direct OTT release via Amazon Prime Video on September 10. ## The decision of taking the OTT route create a rift between the theater owners and Nani. While Nani maintained a dignified silence on the film's release, one of the members of the Telangana Cinema Theaters Association reportedly passed disparaging comments on Nani at a meeting organized by the association. However, he later apologized for his harsh comments.## Talking about the film, it is directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the Shine Screens Banner. Los Angeles, September 9, 2021: Scarlett Johansson, who filed a lawsuit against Disney for releasing "Black Widow" on Disney+ on the same date as theaters, had reportedly asked Disney for $100 million compensation after the company changed their release plans of the superhero movie. ## According to The Wall Street Journal (via IGN India), Scarlett Johansson's team reportedly tried to negotiate a deal with Disney for the star to receive $100 million for the movie. "The calculation was based on what the star would receive in a hypothetical global box-office take of $1.2 billion", said the report. ## The estimated sum of $1.2 billion was based on Marvel Studios' past theatrical releases before the COVID-19 pandemic, plus Johansson's $20 million starting salary for her titular role in the movie. However, that negotiation didn't take off as Disney never made a counteroffer. ## A couple of weeks after "Black Widow" opened in theaters and on Disney+ on July 9, Johansson decided to sue Disney over the alleged breach of the contract, which reportedly assuring her that the movie would be released exclusively in theaters, in which her salary was mostly based on the film's box-office performance. ## Disney, however, later responded to Johansson's lawsuit, claiming that the company had "fully complied with Ms. Johansson's contract" and that Black Widow's simultaneous streaming release had actually "significantly enhanced" the star's ability to earn "additional compensation on top of the $20M" she received as her starting salary for Natasha Romanoff's solo outing. ## Stay tuned...

Los Angeles, September 9, 2021: Marvel Studios' "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" has achieved what the fellow Marvel movie "Black Widow" couldn't achieve. With a backing of solid critics and audiences reviews, "Shang-Chi", has stormed past $100 million domestic box office in just 5 days, becoming the fastest to reach the milestone during the covid-19 pandemic. ## After nabbing a massive $19.4 million on Monday, the Simu Liu/Awkwafina/Tony Leung/Michelle Leung starrer collected another approx $6.90 million on Tuesday, helping itself to cross the rare $100 million at the North America box office amid the pandemic. The Hindi Remake Of Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru' Gets Clearance To Go-Ahead By Madras High Court

Chennai, September 8, 2021: Earlier in July this year, Suriya starrer critically acclaimed and widely appreciated Tamil film, Soorarai Pottru was confirmed to be remade in Hindi. Suriya's 2D Entertainment joined hands with Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment to produce the Hindi remake of this monster digital hit. ## Soon after the Hindi remake was announced, the movie hit a roadblock after Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment, who had co-produced the film in Tamil along with Suriya's 2D Entertainment, had approached the court and requested a stay on the film's remake. The judge had granted an injunction and advised both the team to find out a friendly solution. ## And now, nearly after two months, the case came up for hearing on Wednesday (September 8) and the Madras High Court vacated the injunction granted to Sikhya Entertainment. With this judgment, the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru gets clearance to go ahead and the makers can now resume work on this film. ## Sudha Kongara, who has directed the original film, will also direct the Hindi version of the film. It will be produced by Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Ent in association with Suriya's 2D Entertainment. Soorarai Pottru' was based on the life story of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. BCCI Announced Team India Squad For ICC Men's T20 World Cup

Mumbai, September 8, 2021: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Team India squad for the Men's T20 World Cup. The big news is that ace spinner R Ashwin has returned to the 15-member squad while the wrist-spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have been left out for the multi-team event to be held in UAE. ## Ashwin last played a T20I in July 2017 against the West Indies. He captained the Punjab team in the IPL in the 2018 and 2019 seasons and Delhi Capitals in 2020. He bagged 38 wickets in three seasons, he captioned. ## Former India world cup winning captain MS Dhoni will also be with the Indian team as a mentor for the tournament, BCCI secretary Jay Shah said while announcing the squad on Wednesday (September 8). Hyderabad, September 8, 2021: Ram Charan and Kiara Advani has reunited for their next film with renowned director S Shankar. The duo had earlier collaborated for the Telugu movie Vinaya Vidheya Rama, which was directed by Boyapati Srinu. The upcoming yet-untitled film is said to be a political action thriller and will have a pan-India release with the film releasing in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. ## On Wednesday (September 8), the makers planned a grand launch of this film, tentatively titled - RC15. The movie was launched with a pooja ceremony in the presence of special guests, Chiranjaavi, SS Rajamouli, and ever-energetic Ranveer Singh. SS Rajamouli and Ram Charan have become close friends ever since they have started working on the magnum opus "RRR". Ranveer Singh's presence at the event is because of his recent collaboration with Shankar for a Pan India biggie. ## The movie will be directed by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. RC 15 or SVC50 is said to be a Rs. 150 crore budget film. Going forward, Kiara also has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Mr. Lele, and Shankar's Hindi remake of Anniyan, co-starring Ranveer Singh, in her kitty.## On the other hand, Ram Charan will next be seen in SS Rajamouli's period action drama film, RRR, which has been in production for nearly 3 years.
