Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon Reunite For A Horror-Comedy Film, Bhediya

Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon are all set to reunite after the 2015 hit movie, Dilwale. The duo will be starring in Stree and Bala director Amar Kaushik's next directorial, titled Bhediya. It is a monster horror film which will be produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films. The JIO Studio presentation will release on 14 April 2022. ## Bhediya is a horror-comedy film by Maddock Films after Sharddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's "Stree" and upcoming Janhavi Kapoor and Rao's "Roohi". Varun's character in Bhediya resembles a monster. Varun Dhawan has started the shooting for the film in Arunachal Pradesh and will continue shooting till May. John Abraham's Attack and Mumbai Saga Set For Theatrical Release

After a flurry of release date announcement, what we are hearing is something that are really good signs for the exhibitors and theater owners. ## John Abraham has announced the release date of his big action entertainer, Attack, and booked Independence day weekend (August 13, 2021) for its release. While Attack was always going to release in theaters, Abraham's another biggie, Mumbai Saga is also having a theatrical release. ## Amid the rumors of direct to digital release, the makers of Mumbai Saga announced the theatrical release of the film. It will be hitting theaters on March 19 next month. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the teaser of Mumbai Saga will be unveiled on February 24. The film also stars Emraan Hashmi, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, and others in key roles. John will be seen playing the role of Ganpat Ram Bhonsle in the film that is set in the '80s-'90s and chronicles how Bombay became Mumbai. The box office hit duo of actor Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to reunite for their next project. After producing the biggest blockbuster, Master post lockdown, the actor-director duo will reportedly be collaborating for Thalapathy 66, i.e. Vijay's 66th film. A month after Master release (January 13), there were speculations that Vijay will be teaming up with Master director again for his next. ## According to India Today, Kanagaraj recently met Vijay at his residence in Chennai and narrated a script. The actor was impressed with the storyline and agreed to work with him again after completing Nelson's project, tentatively titled Thalapathy 65. An official announcement regarding Thalapathy 66 is expected to be made April.## It is also reported that Thalapathy 66 will be made on a mammoth budget and it will be a pan India release considering the huge fan following of the actor. Mohanlal's performance and Jeethu Joseph's writing and direction are receiving blockbuster reviews from critics and fans all over the country and it has already gained the biggest blockbuster of the year status on OTT for getting never seen before response. Suryakumar Yadav, who was knocking on the door for a long time, earned his maiden call-up with the backing of his solid record and recent form in IPL. ## Ishan Kishan also included in the T20 squad for the first, hours after blitzing away to a spectacular 173 off just 94 balls in Jharkhand's Vijay Hazare fixture against Madhya Pradesh. Rahul Tewatia also called up after his successful run in the IPL 2020. ## Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the limited-overs series while Ravindra Jadeja, who is still recovering from his injury, has also been left out of the squad. However, the actor has now expressed disappointment that the makers didn't invite him to re-enter the show. ## "Bigg Boss was a part of my life, but my entire life doesn't revolve around it. Unfortunately, I didn't get the opportunity to enter the house again. I finished my work on February 6 and after that, if I had to enter the house once again, I would have to go through a mandatory quarantine period, and then I would have stayed in the house for a very less period", said Eijaz according to India TV. ## "I think the makers of the show would be in a better position to talk about it. I was a bit disappointed for a few days that I didn't get the opportunity to make re-enter the house. I didn't talk to the media about it but I have to move on because I respect the format of the show", he added.## Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who was a part of Bigg Boss 13 before she exited the show owing to a back injury, entered the Bigg Boss 14 house as Eijaz Khan's proxy. One of the long-awaited Tamil movies, Chakra hit theaters on February 19 on around 1500 screens worldwide. Starring Vishal, the film was initially supposed to have its theatrical release on 1 May 2020 coinciding with May Day but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Even after the lockdown lifted and theaters reopened, Chakra had to face many challenges before it finally saw a release. ## Based on cybercrimes and e-commerce scams, the story of the film revolves around the robbery by a gang of hackers and cybercriminals on the Independence Day of India. The film is a spinoff to Vishal's 2018 action thriller film Irumbu Thirai. Directed by MS Anandan and produced by Vishal under his banner Vishal Film Factory, the movie also stars Shraddha Srinath, Regina Cassandra, Robo Shankar, Manobala, and Srushti Dange in key roles. ## Chakra also released in the dubbed version of Hindi as Chakra Ka Rakshak by B4U Motion Pictures along with dubbed versions of Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's suspense thriller film, Drishyam 2 premiered on Amazone Prime Video on February 19. Directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas, Drishyam 2 is a sequel to the 2013 film, Drishyam which starred Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sarath, Siddique, and Kalabhavan Shajon in key roles. ## The sequel of Drishyam was supposed to release in theaters in January 2021, however, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers decided to skip its theatrical release to make it available directly on Amazon Prime Video for the worldwide audience. Jeethu Joseph To Direct Venkatesh In Telugu Remake Of Malayalam Film 'Drishyam 2'

Mohanlal starrer Malayalam movie, Drishyam 2 premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 19 and it is getting brilliant reviews from the viewers. The Telugu remake of this suspense thriller is already in work with Jeethu Joseph returning to helm the much-anticipated remake with Telugu superstar Venkatesh. ## Released in 2014, the Telugu remake of Drishyam, titled Drushyam was directed by Sripriya, but this time, the sequel will be directed by Jeethu himself who shot to national fame with Mohanlal starrer. Venkatesh, who starred in Drushyam, will carry forward his role in the sequel. ## Jeethu Joseph announced the sequel of the Telugu remake. He also confirmed that the shooting will begin next month in March and will be wrapped up as soon as possible. It has been reported that Jeethu has already landed in Hyderabad and had been in talks with multiple people involved in the project.## Talking about Drushyam, the film tells the story of Rambabu (Venkatesh), a middle-class cable TV operator, and his family. They come under suspicion when Varun, the son of the Inspector-general of police (IG), goes missing soon after harassing Rambabu's daughter. The rest of the film reveals how Varun disappeared and what Rambabu does to keep his family from going to prison. ## Drushyam had Meena and Esther Anil from the original cast of Drishyam. Nadhiya played the role of the police officer whose son is murdered by Rambabu's daughter. ## Mohanlal's Drishyam has been remade in several languages including Hindi, Sinhalese, and Mandarin. Nishikant Kamat directed the Hindi remake and it starred Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta. Drishyam is also the first Indian film to have a remake in Chinese, titled Sheep Without a Shepherd (2019). ## Stay tuned...
