India's deaf community has lauded the Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh's efforts to make the Indian Sign Language an official language. ## "We were very happy to hear the good news about Ranveer Singh, who is a famous Bollywood actor, to support ISL to be recognized as the 23rd official language of India. We are so glad that he supports this," the members stated, as reported by News 18.## Ranveer Singh's independent record label recently released sign language music videos while he himself has been urging authorities to consider and declare Indian Sign Language (ISL) as the 23rd official language of India for which, he recently signed a petition aimed at bringing awareness of the cause.## "Indian sign language is a beautiful language. We want to thank Ranveer for showing support to the deaf community", the members of the deaf community added.## An overwhelmed Ranveer said that his independent music label was created to encourage inclusivity. "IncInk was created as a platform to encourage inclusivity through art and we are deeply committed to making Indian Sign Language (ISL) become the 23rd official language of India".## "This progressive step will create a ripple effect in providing equal access across all areas, from education to employment to entertainment to more than 10 million deaf people in India", the actor added. ## From the movie work, Ranveer Singh is gearing up for his upcoming movie 83 that is supposed the hit screens around Diwali this year. Laxmi Bomb, however, will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on the 9th of November. ## With the covid-19 pandemic is around, filmmakers have been forced to take an OTT route due to uncertainty over the reopening of cinemas. However, the ongoing tensions in the film industry are all playing a major role in forcing them to take different platforms other than the theaters to release their films. ## According to a source quoted in Republic Bharat's report, before the film was about to get finalized with the streaming platform, Vashu Bhagnani had a long discussion with the heads of some of the national multiplex chains.## In the conversation, he requested them to give him a sizeable amount of advance or MG royalty and even asked for the remuneration of the threshold period of eight weeks from the date of a theatrical premiere for his film Coolie No. 1. However, in return to his plea, the multiplex chains expressed their helplessness in advancing money to Bhagnani or 'acquiring' his film on an MG royalty basis.## Coolie No 1 is an upcoming comedy film that is a remake of a 1995 film with the same name starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the prominent roles. The latest version of the film is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani who also teamed up for the original film. Give them a befitting punishment and bring an end to this conspiracy by neighboring countries", BJP MP Ravi Kishan had said in Lok Sabha on Day One of parliament's monsoon session. ## A day after Ravi Kishan's speech, Jaya Bachchan had slammed him and Kangana Ranaut and come out in support of the industry saying that such statements were meant to divert attention from the state of the economy and unemployment. ## However, Ravi Kushan has got support from the former MP and current BJP member, Jaya Prada who said that the youth needs to be protected from the "problem of drug trafficking/addiction" and lent her full support to the Bhojpuri actor for his speech. ## "I completely support Ravi Kishan Ji's remarks about saving youth from the problem of drug trafficking/addiction. We need to raise our voice against the use of drugs & we need to save our youth. The film also stars Kiara Advani, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar, Ashwini Kalsekar, and many others.## Earlier, on June 29, Disney+Hotstar had signed a multi-million deal and begged 7 Bollywood movies including Laxmi Bomb, and Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj. Laxmi Bomb was supposed to premiere during the month of September, however, due to IPL and some other reasons, the OTT giant decided against it. ## With the release date now confirmed, Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi will now clash with Laxmmi Bomb on Diwali. According to reports Malang star, Aditya Roy Kapur has signed the film that has reportedly been titled 'Om'.## According to a source quoted in Bollywood Hungama, "It's an action-packed film with a strong undercurrent of romance and the makers are all set to take it on floors around November. The recce and pre-production work is in progress right now, and Adi plays the titular character of Om in the film".## As per the report, Ahmed Khan was himself wanted to direct the film but due to his Heropanti 2 commitment with Tiger Shroff in lead, he has decided to bankroll 'Om' instead of directing it which will go on floors around Diwali this year.## Talking about the leading lady, the source confirmed that Tara Sutaria has liked the script and all set to pair with Aditya Roy Kapur in this action entertainer. "The leading lady is Tara Sutaria. She was to work with Adi in Ek Villain 2, however, after Adi's exit, the pair couldn't be explored there. But the makers of Om felt that Adi and Tara would bring forward a fresh dynamic in the story".## As reported earlier, the audience was excited and looking forward to seeing the fresh pairing of Aditya and Tara in Mohit Suri's 'Ek Villain 2'. However, the focus has completely now shifted on NCB which is investigating the drug angle in the industry and has already arrested several people including an actress Rhea Chakraborty. ## Yesterday, on the second day of the Monsoon Session in Parliament, Mrs. Bachchab had given a Zero Hour notice in Rajya Sabha where she had spoken about an alleged conspiracy to defame the film industry by taking an indirect jibe on Kangana Ranaut and actor-politician, Ravi Kishan. She had said in her speech, "jis thaali me khaate hai, usi thaali me ched karte hai" which left the celebrities and netizens divided.## Now, the Mahabharat actor Mukesh Khanna has reacted to Jaya Bachchan's statement. In an interview with Republic TV, the actor said, "Let me tell you one thing, someone very rightly said, ‘Bollywood gutter nahi hai, Bollywood me jo gutter hai..' It makes a difference. Nobody is condemning the whole industry, but one bad fish will spoil the whole lake. If you've to find it, you'll have to search the entire lake, only then can you catch it".## "Right now it is the question of investigation and if somebody says ‘jis khali me khaate ho, usme ched kyu karte ho?’ Let me tell you, thaali ki baat nahi ho rahi because thali nahi chalni ho gayi hai. We’re not talking about the plate, but what is being served on it", he added. ## The Bhishma Pitamah of Mahabharat even questioned why Jaya Bachchan was making so much noise. "We're not saying everybody is bad in the industry. They're saying some are bad and some are good. So, we're just questioning who is bad and who is good? For that, we need a CBI, narcotics inquiry.
