Sonic the Hedgehog to get a sequel with Jeff Fowler returning as director

Hollywood movie Sonic the Hedgehog has been booked for its sequel after Paramount Pictures and Sega Sammy have confirmed on Thursday (May 28). According to Variety, the project is still under development stage so no decision has been made yet regarding casting or a production start date.## The sequel of the film will mark the returning of Jeff Fowler to direct the live-action family comedy with Pat Casey and Josh Miller writing the script while Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, and Toru Nakahara will be producing the film. ## Sonic the Hedgehog is based on the popular video game franchise from Sega. Its first part was released on 14 February of this year. The film tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. Ben Schwartz gave his voice to the lead character of the movie Sonic. ## Upon its release, the film set the record for the biggest opening weekend for a video game film in the United States and Canada. Indian skipper Virat Kohli has often been criticized for his experimental style of captaincy which leads to regular changes in the team. Some players have raised questions on his captaincy and have often said that making frequent changes make players uncertain about their chances in playing XI. ## However, there is another side of the coin is that he identify the real talent and throws him for the big challenges which hardly had discussed. Shubman Gill who is a big fan of Virat Kohli a player and has also admired his style of captaincy and feels that it is an advantage to have a captain like him. ## "Yes, it's definitely an advantage when your captain wants you to go all-in and there is no pressure. You won't feel that there is one percent of your game that would be left when you are on the field so it's always good for the young players when the captain backs you," Gill told IANS. ## Gill who has had a sensational tournament of the U-19 world cup in 2018 and has been very successful in domestic cricket said that Kohli has talked to him about the importance of consistency in international cricket. ## "I have interacted with him a couple of times. He just tells me to keep doing stuff that I am already doing and to have consistency on the field. Consistency is an important factor, he added.## Shubman Gill hasn't had a great start of his international career where he has played only 2 ODIs and has scored only 16 runs in those matches. However, he is among the few youngsters who are players to watch out for in the near future. ## Virat Kohli too has been impressed with India's fresh crop. Last year while commenting on the youngsters, Kohli had said, "I saw him (Gill) bat in the nets and I was like wow I was not even ten percent of that when I was 19. Hollywood actor Chris Evans has said the playing the role of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is the best decision he has ever made. However, the actor also confessed that he was scared and having anxiety attacks when MCU offered him the role of Captain America. ## Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Evans revealed that initially, he turned down the role of Captain America despite the six-film deal and a higher salary. It was the time when his family and friends pushed him for the role telling him he was making his decision based on fear to which the actor also agreed. ## "And it really just kind of clicked and it really did start to make sense to me that way, so I said 'Yeah. I think that's why the whole first movie, my hair was on fire, you're so scared just like 'Oh my god, I can't believe I'm doing this and please don't backfire, please don't blow up in my face. And not only did it not, but it was the best decision I've ever made, and I really owe that to Kevin Feige for being persistent and helping me avoid making a giant mistake. Angrezi Medium to re-release in Dubai as theaters reopen on May 27

Late Irrfan Khan's last film Angrezi Medium which theatrical release was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown in the country, is all set to become one of the first movies to be released in Dubai as the cinemas are reopening there on Wednesday, May 27 after the two months of break. ## However, the film will not get to release with full capacity as the cinemas have to follow some strict guidelines issued by the government.
