Chennai, August 18 - Tamil director AR Murugadoss, who last directed superstar Salman Khan's Sikandar, has been in the news for the past few weeks for various reasons. The director caught everyone's attention recently when he blamed the language barrier for the box office failure of Sikandar, even though he had delivered a couple of big blockbusters in Hindi. ## A few weeks after his statement regarding Sikandar's failure went viral, the Ghajini director gave another statement, which is making a lot of noise on social media. During the promotion of his upcoming film Madharaasi, starring Sivakarthikeyan, Murugadoss explained why Tamil films are not earning 1000 crores worldwide, while other top industries do. ## Speaking to Valaipechu Voice, the director observed that Tamil filmmakers approach cinema differently from their counterparts in other industries. After opening with 4.50 crores net collection, the dubbed version showed consistency, but failed to take full advantage of the holiday period. ## Dubbed as Coolie: The Powerhouse, the film scored approximately 19.50-19.75 crores net collection over the 4-day extended weekend in Hindi. However, the cumulative figure for Coolie and War 2 is now tracking under ₹450 crores gross, making the clash a dampener in terms of overall box office numbers. ## Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie opened with historic numbers, delivering the biggest-ever opening for a Tamil film. The gangster action drama, despite receiving mixed to negative reviews, has managed to stay afloat with strong festival holiday support; however, the trend has been on the downward side.## After three days, Coolie has grossed over 185 crores in India and 320+ crores worldwide, becoming the fastest Tamil film to achieve the milestone of 300 crores. Day 3 saw a noticeable drop of around 30%, with collections of ₹45+ crores gross domestically, but the overall momentum still positions the film for an extended weekend in the 375–400 crores worldwide range. AA22xA6 Update: Baahubali Actress Joins Allu Arjun's Mega Movie With Director Atlee

Hyderabad, August 16 - One of the biggest Indian films in the making is a combination of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun and director Atlee, has a famous addition to its already blockbuster casting, which includes Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Janhvi Kapoor. ## According to the latest report by Peepingmoon.com, the makers have roped in South actress Ramya Krishnan, known for her iconic portrayal of Rajamata Sivagami Devi in SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali franchise. She has reportedly been signed on for a prominent role in the action spectacle. ## Set in a parallel universe, AA22xA6 is said to be a high-concept VFX-driven spectacle, to which many national and international artists are attached. To elevate the film's action quotient, Atlee has roped in leading Hollywood stunt choreographers, including Spiro Razatos, who is known for working on Marvel movies and Indian tentpoles like Jawan and War 2. ## The shoot of the film has already commenced in June this year. The filming is currently happening in Mumbai, where Mrunal has reportedly joined Allu Arjun for key action sequences.
