Mumbai, May 28 - Bollywood superstar is all set to return to the cricket field with director Ashutosh Gowarikar's upcoming sports biopic film. The actor is gearing up for one of the most exciting phases of his career as the superstar has reportedly allotted dates to the film, before kickstarting Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots sequel. According to a report by Variety India, Aamir Khan will begin shooting for Gowariker's ambitious period sports drama in October 2026. The film is said to be based on the historic 1952 India-Pakistan Test series, and it revolves around legendary cricketer Lala Amarnath and his friendship with Pakistan captain Abdul Hafeez Kardar during the partition era.
