Chennai, January 15 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's long-awaited action thriller Vidaamuyarchi is gearing up for the release. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the movie was announced in May 2023 by Lyca Productions and since then, it has been in intense production. ## The movie was originally announced for Diwali 2024 release, before getting postponed to December and then Pongal 2025. It was again pushed back and there were reports that it would be released during the Republic Day weekend. But there is another change in the plan. ## On Wednesday, Lyca took to social media to announce that the Vidaamuyarchi trailer would be launched on January 16, and according to reliable Tamil media reports, the film will hit the big screens on February 6 in multiple languages. Chennai, September 16 - Tamil star Ajith Kumar has two films in the pipeline in the form of action thriller Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni and an action comedy Good Bad Ugly with director Adhik Ravichandran. ## As already announced, Good Bad Ugly is eyeing the Pongal 2025 release, however, there might be some changes regarding the same. During the SIIMA awards ceremony, actor Arjun Sarja shared that Vidaa Muyarchi will be released in December 2024.## Arjun, who is playing a prominent role in this Lyca Productions venture, said that he has completed the climax fight scene and the makers will be releasing the film in 2-3 months around December this year. Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' Hindi Version Tops Netflix's Top 10 Chart In India

Mumbai, November 29 - After completing its box office run, Thalapathy Vijay's blockbuster Leo recently started streaming on Netflix, and surprisingly, the Hindi version turned out to be the most-watched in India in its first weekend. ## "Leo" debuted on Netflix on November 24 in India while it started streaming globally on November 28. During the week of November 20 - November 26, the Hindi version of the movie was the most-watched title in India. Netflix doesn't reveal data for a particular country. ## At the box office, the "Leo" Hindi version grossed approx. 32 crores despite not getting released in multiplex chains. It was a missed opportunity for the makers to not get a proper release in Hindi which is now benefitting Netflix. ## The original Tamil version of "Leo" was the third most-watched title in India during the same week, followed by the Telugu version at number 4. Netflix Announces Streaming Date of Thalapathy Vijay's Blockbuster 'Leo'

Chennai, November 20 - Thalapathy Vijay's action blockbuster Leo is nearing its box office run after debuting in theatres on October 19. The Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial has grossed over 600 crores at the worldwide box office and is currently the third highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time. ## There is not much gas left in the film to fire at the box office, and as pre-scheduled, the gangster drama is gearing up for its streaming debut on Netflix. "Leo" will be streaming on Netflix after 5 weeks in all the languages in which it was released in theatres. ## On Monday (November 20), Netflix officially confirmed that the film will start streaming from November 24 in Hindi and November 28 globally, in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, languages. Chennai, November 13 - Thalapathy Vijay's mega-blockbuster Leo has become the third Tamil movie of all-time to top 600 crores at the worldwide box office, after superstar Rajinikanth-led blockbusters "2.0" and "Jailer". ## The action thriller, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is slowing down at the box office but has done its job in the first three weeks. It has completed 25 days in theatres with a worldwide gross collection of approx. 600 crores, a first for Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj. ## "Leo" is the second Tamil movie of the year to breach this box office mark after "Jailer". The 600+ crores worldwide gross includes approx. 203 crores overseas collection (studio estimates) while the domestic collection is a little over 397 crores. The movie should be able to top 400 crores in domestic gross in the next few days. ## Produced by Seven Screen Studio, "Leo" will be looking to cross "Jailer" (604.50 crores) to become the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time.
