Box Office: Bachchhan Paandey Registered A Low Opening Weekend

Mumbai, March 21 - Bachchhan Paandey remained on the downward slope even on Sunday with the collections of 12 cr net which is a bad number for a mass entertainer that banks on initials collections.

Bachchan Pandey could not really compete but that was not meant to as there was the capacity to collect 60-65cr in the first weekend. The film really got hit was the juggernaut of The Kashmir Files, which meant that the performance of Akshay Kumar-starrer was weak over the first weekend.

The Sunday collections of 12 cr net take the total collections to 37.25 cr and there is not much left in the tank as far as collections go. The lifetime total could be less than even 60cr.

The first day was helped by a big holiday like Holi and after that, the film has struggled at the box office. The opening was decent as most Akshay Kumar starrers open in the same range but due to no appreciation from the audience, The film did not grow on subsequent days.
