Box Office: Jayeshbhai Jordaar First Day Early Estimates; Takes A Slow Opening

Mumbai, May 13 - The big movie of the day "Jayeshbhai Jordaar" starring Ranveer Singh has been released in theaters. Directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar "JayeshBhai Jordaar" is a social comedy-drama produced by Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma.

The film opened to single-digit occupancy in the morning which was shocking but as the day progressed, The occupancy started to move higher but it is still very low. The hope is that the film sees higher occupancies in the night and late-night shows especially in the big metros.

The early estimated collections for JayeshBhai Jordaar are set to be in the range of 4-4.50cr net box office collections. The opening is very much similar to Jersey and Runway35 but less than Heropanti2 but Heropanti2 had block bookings so in real value all the mentioned films took similar openings which is a bad sign for the industry as there is no betterment.

JayeshBhai Jordaar is once again a word-of-mouth film that depends on appreciation and growth on Saturday. Lately, our industry is making more Saturday growth films rather than Friday openers and JayeshBhai Jordaar falls in that category only. The film could turn out to be the lowest opener for Ranveer Singh since his debut film in 2010.
