Box Office: 'Pushpa - The Rise' Becomes Allu Arjun's All-Time Highest Grosser
Hyderabad, January 2 - Telugu blockbuster "Pushpa - The Rise" has become the highest-grossing film for superstar Allu Arjun's career. It marks the actor's maiden Pan-India film in five languages.
The Sukumar-directed action thriller has grossed Rs. 270.10 crores at the worldwide box office in just 16 days, leapfrogging "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo's" Rs. 269.35 crores worldwide total in 2022 to become the biggest-grosser for Icon Star.
"Pushpa - The Rise" is become the first Indian film in 2021 to reach Rs. 200 crores net. Interestingly, the last Indian film to achieve the feat was "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo", which netted Rs. 200.4 crores during its entire box office run.
"Pushpa", on the other hand, has so far netted Rs. 207.25 crores in just 16 days. It is a blockbuster in Hindi (dubbed), in which it has so far netted Rs. 56.85 crores, which is the 3rd biggest in 2021 after "Sooryavanshi" and "83".
At the overseas box office, "Pushpa - The Rise" has grossed approx. Rs. 28 crores so far. The movie is heading towards Rs. 300 crores worldwide, which will be the first Indian film since Ajay Devgn's "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" in January 2020.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, and Muttamsetty Media, the first of the two cinematic parts, "Pushpa - The Rise" also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead alongside Fahadh Faasil in his Telugu debut, Dhananjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil Varma, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in prominent roles.
