'Pushpa - The Rise' Nabs A Fantastic Opening Weekend At The Box Office

Hyderabad, December 19 - "Pushpa - The Rise", starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Manadanna in the leading roles, is having a blockbuster party at the box office.

Directed by Sukumar, the Pan-India release flew past Rs. 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office in just two days, setting a new pandemic era record for an Indian movie.

The action thriller scored a thundering Rs. 89.20 crore gross in India and an estimated Rs. 15 crores overseas, for a 2-day global total of Rs. 104 crores.

Despite the stiff competition with "Spider-Man: No Way Home", "Pushpa" managed to steal the show and it remained super strong on Sunday and grossed an estimated Rs. 35.40 crores at the Indian box office. Including Sunday, "Pushpa" has grossed a very nice Rs. 125.73 crores in 3 days in India, and close to Rs. 18 crores overseas, for a global total of Rs. 143.73 crores.

"Pushpa - The Rise" has managed to generate Rs. 38.58 crores gross as AP/TG Share, including Rs. 18.84 crores from Nizam, followed by Rs. 6.2 crores from Ceded.

Meanwhile, it has been a satisfying Pan-India debut for Allu Arjun, especially in Hindi. The Hindi dubbed version of the film was trending better than most of the outright Bollywood movies. It netted Rs. 6.85 crores in Hindi in the first two days despite the limited showing. On Sunday, it clocked over Rs. 6 crore net, for a 3-day estimated net total close to Rs. 13 crores.
