Chhichhore Turns One, Co-stars Shraddha Kapoor, And Varun Sharma Remember Sushant Singh Rajput

Late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput's one of the best movies, Chhichhore has completed one year from its release. The coming of age comedy-drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari was released on September 6 worldwide. Chhichhore marked the last theatrical release film of Sushant Singh Rajput before his death on 14 June 2020. ## Marking the occasion, Sushant's co-stars in the film, Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma, have paid tribute to the late actor with the special posts on social media. ## Shraddha Kapoor, who played Sushant's girlfriend (and eventually, on-screen wife) in this dramedy, posted a special video comprising pictures and clips of Sushant from the sets of the film. The director-producer, Vipul Amrutlal Shah is all set to produce as many as a dozen of short films. The filmmaker has said that there are stories that do not fit into a feature film or OTT web show format but still, these stories need to be told. ## "I have done around 1,000 episodes in daily soaps and made films also but there are some amazing stories that can only be told in 15 to 20 minutes duration. It's a different and exciting format and something that I have not attempted so far", he said.## "There are several ideas and stories that cannot fit into a feature film or OTT web show format but still, these stories need to be told, and today the format of the short film is available. It is a very exciting format, exciting content, and exciting way of narrating a story", the filmmaker added. ## The filmmaker who is known for helming movies like Namastey London, Aankhen, Singh Is Kinng, Commando series, and a few more will largely work with the new talented writers for the short films. Narcotics Control Bureau Arrests Rhea Chakraborty's Brother And Samuel Miranda In Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case

Coming as a big development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager, Samuel Miranda on Friday, September 4. ## According to NCB officials, the duo was arrested after 10 hours of questioning and after the agency got adequate evidence against them about their involvement in the drug case.## Earlier in the day, the NCB also carried out a raid at the residences of Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda. The department also seized Showik's laptop and mobile phone.## The NCB had also told a court that Showik used to order ganja and marijuana at the behest of her sister Rhea from drug-peddler Abdul Basit Parihar, who has been arrested and made payments to him over Google Pay.## Showik and Miranda will be produced before a court on Saturday. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt returned as a director after almost 20 years to direct the sequel of his 1991 film, Sadak. Kartoos, that was released in 1999 was the last movie of Mahesh Bhatt as a director before Sadak 2 starring the original cast of Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt along with the new addition of Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. ## Sadak 2, however, ditched the conventional theatrical release due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and instead, it premiered on the OTT platform, Disney+Hotstar on August 28. Sadak 2 was one of the movies announced by Disney Plus Hotstar on June 29 and was one of the most awaited movies. However, upon its release, it was declared an outright disaster by the critics and the viewers. ## The much-hyped union of the Bhatts with Sadak 2 has proved to be a damp squib. Amid rising Covid-19 cases in the country, the government of India on Saturday (August 29) announced Unlock 4 guidelines. Under the government's new guidelines, more economic activities have been allowed to re-open, however, there is no respite for the theaters which will remain shut until September 30. ## Theaters or cinema halls have been closed even before the country went into lockdown on March 25. Saaho Box Office Collection: Apart From Hindi, Prabhas And Shraddha Kapoor Starrer Was A Collective Disappointment

Pan India star, Prabhas and Bollywood diva, Shraddha Kapoor starrer action thriller movie Saaho has completed one year from its release. This Sujeeth directorial multilingual movie hit the theaters on August 30 with a lot of expectations in terms of entertainment. However, despite having a multi-star cast, the movie couldn't live up to its expectations. ## Saaho was an overall disappointment even though the Hindi audience loved the film. It disappointed in the other languages as the audience felt that the story of the film was confusing and somewhere the Prabhas magic despite some glimpses, was also missing in this UV Creations' production. And resulted in, the audience was left despondent by the collectively average performance from the rest of the cast which included Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Vennela Kishore, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Murali Sharma, and others. ## Talking about its box office collection, Saaho opened up with a massive number as the audience was curious to watch their favorite stars. On Day 1, it collected INR 89 crores with the large contribution from the Telugu language of INR 60.40 crore. However, after day 1, with reviews started to come, the collection dropped heavily on weekends as it earned INR 55.10 crore and 56.78 crores on Saturday and Sunday respectively. ## With bad reviews all around, the movie could never able to get the momentum back and kept slipping as the days progressed.
