'Jawan' Becomes The Most Watched Film In India In The First Two Weeks On Netflix
Mumbai, November 21 - After the box office, superstar Shah Rukh Khan's action thriller Jawan is breaking records on OTT as well. ## The Atlee Kumar's directorial flick premiered on Netflix after 8 weeks of theatrical run and now, it has become the most-watched film in India in the first 2 weeks of launch, across all languages, on Netflix, the streamer announced. The streamer, however, didn't reveal the viewership data in India. ## Shah Rukh Khan expressed his delight at this big success and said (via The Hindu), "I am thrilled to share that Jawan is the most-watched film in India on Netflix. Releasing the extended version was our way of expressing gratitude to our fans for extending their unwavering love and support to the film".## "The overwhelming response we’ve received from Netflix audiences only reaffirms the brilliance of Indian Cinema. Jawan is not just a film, it's a celebration of storytelling, passion, and the vibrant spirit of our cinema and I couldn't be prouder of its success on Netflix", he added.## Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, "Jawan" told the story of a vigilante and his crew taking on corrupt institutions in bed with a deadly arms dealer. It stars SRK in a dual role alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Deepika Padukone in key roles.## Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is awaiting the release of Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki".
