'Jawan' Becomes The Most Watched Film In India In The First Two Weeks On Netflix

Mumbai, November 21 - After the box office, superstar Shah Rukh Khan's action thriller Jawan is breaking records on OTT as well. ## The Atlee Kumar's directorial flick premiered on Netflix after 8 weeks of theatrical run and now, it has become the most-watched film in India in the first 2 weeks of launch, across all languages, on Netflix, the streamer announced. The streamer, however, didn't reveal the viewership data in India. ## Shah Rukh Khan expressed his delight at this big success and said (via The Hindu), "I am thrilled to share that Jawan is the most-watched film in India on Netflix. Mumbai, November 20 - Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon's sci-fi actioner Ganapath: A Hero Is Born has completed its painful journey at the box office with zero return. Vikas Bahl's directorial film was touted to be a never-before-seen before sci-fi thriller but the audiences didn't turn to see it in theatres. ## Produced by Pooja Entertainment, "Ganapath" was released on October 20 during the Dussehra weekend but its fate was almost sealed after it opened to a disaster number of 2.50 crores net. The extremely negative reviews and audiences' word of mouth made sure it died down in the opening weekend itself with a net collection of 7 crores. ## Though the collections of the film were negligible after the opening weekend, the lack of a big release kept it in theatres for a couple of weeks. The Maneesh Sharma-directorial movie scored the 4th highest first seven days cumulative collection for a Bollywood movie. ## "Tiger 3" scored an estimated 17 crores net collection in all versions on its first Saturday (7th day) which takes its total collection to around 217 crores in 7 days. In Hindi, the movie scored an estimated 16-17 crores, making it the 6th biggest first 7 days cumulative collection scorer. ## With a collection of approximately 212+ crores in 7 days, "Tiger 3" has become the 34th film ever to enter the 200 crores net box office club in Hindi. Today's collection will make it the 27th biggest Hindi net grosser of all time. ## "Tiger 3", which is the 5th film in YRF's Spy Universe, needed to score the big second weekend to stay in the race to top 300 crores net. Mumbai, November 12 - Salman Khan-fronted "Tiger 3" destroyed the Diwali day records at the domestic box office by a huge margin and looks to set one of the biggest openings for a Bollywood movie ever.## The movie has the disadvantage of the Laxmi Pooja which affected the evening and night collection but despite that "Tiger 3" scored around 42 crores net in Hindi, as per the early estimate. The final opening day collection can go up to 43-44 crores, depending on the night shows but 42 crores looks to be locked. The all-India opening (including Tamil and Telugu) is estimated to be around 44-45 crores. ## The opening makes "Tiger 3" the biggest starter for Salman Khan, beating "Bharat" which scored 42.30 crores net in 2019. If it opens on the higher estimates of 43 crores in Hindi then it will be the 6th biggest ever for any movie in Hindi while all versions will be the 5th biggest for a Bollywood film. ## The fact that Salman Khan's previous biggest opener "Bharat" came on a national holiday makes the "Tiger 3" opening excellent considering the odds were against due to Laxmi Pooja which is considered a weak day as far as the box office is concerned, even though the film is a much bigger product than "Bharat". ## The normal Friday release during the Diwali festival could have easily given "Tiger 3" a 60+ crores start but here Yash Raj Films opted for a unique strategy by releasing the film on the day of Diwali. Mumbai, November 11 - The wait is about to end for Salman Khan-fronted hugely-awaited spy action thriller Tiger 3 which is releasing tomorrow (November 12). The Maneesh Sharma's directorial is the fifth film in Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe and the third in the Tiger franchise. ## "Tiger 3" will have one of the biggest releases ever for Indian movies. The keenly-awaited movie will be released on 8900 screens worldwide, including 5500 screens in India and 3400 screens internationally. It is the biggest release in the Spy Universe, ahead of "Pathaan" which was released on 7700 screens worldwide. ## Produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films, "Tiger 3" is a rare movie to release on Sunday, that too on Diwali day. The advance booking of the movie was opened a week before and it got a good response, considering the Diwali day release which normally is a weaker day for the box office than the usual Diwali holiday. ## As of 8 PM on November 11, "Tiger 3" scored approx. 20 crores gross with 7.60 lakh tickets sold for the opening day. The pre-sales have witnessed a very good turnaround on the last day before the release and the final advance booking is expected to be around 23 crores with over 8.50 lakh tickets. ## The pre-sales booking trend of "Tiger 3" has been better than "Gadar 2" which opened at 40.10 crores net.
