Los Angeles, August 6 - Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige has lent his support to the Batgirl directors Billal Fallah and Adil Al Arbi following the news of Warner Bros. shelving the release of the DC movie. ## Billal and Adil have directed one of the episodes of Marvel/Disney+ recent series, Ms. Marvel, and share a good rapport with Feige. Al Arbi posted on his Instagram Story a screenshot of an email that he recently received from the Feige.## In the message, Feige wrote, "My friends I had to reach out and let you know we are all thinking about you both. Because of the wonderful news about the wedding (congrats!) and the disappointing news about Batgirl. Very proud of you guys for all the amazing work you do and particularly Ms. Marvel of course! Can't wait to see what is next for you. Hope to see you soon".## Feige is not the only big Hollywood name who showed support to the filmmakers, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn and Baby Driver helmer Edgar Wright also reach out to the directors and expressed disappointment on the shocking decision by Warner studio. ## Batgirl stars Leslie Grace in the title role along with Michael Keaton as Batman, among others. Los Angeles, August 5 - There are a lot of things going on with Warner Bros. regarding the studio's future roadmap and it seems, the studio has its plans going forward as far as DC films are concerned under the new CEO David Zaslav at Warner Bros. Discovery. ## Warner Bros. recently canceled the release of the HBO Max film "Batgirl" and has defended it saying "We’re not going to put a movie out unless we believe in it". It is clearly visible that under Zaslav, Warner Bros. is looking to boost its theatrical business model and the CEO claimed to have a 10-year plan for the same. ## "You look at Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman — these are brands that are known everywhere in the world. We have done a reset. We've restructured the business where we are going to focus, where there is going to be a team with a 10-year plan focusing just on DC. We believe we can build a much more sustainable business", Zaslav said during an earnings call Thursday (via THR)## Warner Bros. is seen as a rival of Marvel Studios in Hollywood though the latter is far ahead of the former one. Marvel never lagged behind anyone in producing blockbuster titles and the studio already keeps plans for the future. DC is now looking to emulate the success of the Disney-owned Marvel Studios, which Kevin Feige has built into the highest-grossing film franchise in history. ## According to THR, CEO David Zaslav has been advised by Feige's former boss, retired Disney film chief Alan Horn to apply the Marvel playbook model for DC films. ## "It's very similar to the structure Alan Horn, [former Disney CEO] Bob Iger and Kevin Feige put together very effectively at Disney. We think we can build a much stronger, sustainable growth business out of DC", said Zaslav. "As part of that, we are going to focus on quality. We are not going to release any film before it's ready. Mumbai, June 9 - Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson unveiled the first full-length trailer of his highly-awaited DC superhero film, "Black Adam" on Wednesday. The film is intended to be a spin-off from Shazam! (2019) and the eleventh film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). ## Ahead of the trailer launch, Warner Bros. revealed the official synopsis for "Black Adam" and hints at what the movie is all about. ## "Nearly 5,000 years after receiving the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods and being imprisoned just as quickly, Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world", reads the official premise of the film. ## As per the DC Comics, Black Adam is one of the archenemies of the superhero Shazam and the nemesis of the Shazam Family. Black Adam first appeared as a one-time villain for the first issue of Fawcett Comics' The Marvel Family comic book (December 1945). ## However, Black Adam was revived as a recurring character after DC Comics first licensed and then acquired the Fawcett characters and began publishing Shazam (formerly Captain Marvel) Family stories under the title Shazam! in the 1970s. ## Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson plays the title role of Black Adam who, going by trailer, has to choose between being the savior and destroyer of mankind. Mumbai, March 10 - Warner Bros. is moving the release dates of its upcoming DC Comics movies again due to the covid-related delays. Most of these movies are said to be heavy on VFX which is taking longer than expected times in post-production during Covid. ## According to Deadline, Dwayne Johnson-led "Black Adam", which was supposed to release on July 29, will now hit theaters after nearly 4 months on October 21, 2022. The animated superhero movie, "DC League of Super-Pets", in which Johnson has voiced Krypto the Superdog, moves from May 20 to July 29. ## Ezra Miller-fronted "The Flash", which alone has 2,500 VFX shots, is moving to June 23, 2023, from November 4, this year. It is one of DCs most-anticipated films that also marks Michael Keaton's return as Batman after nearly 30 years. He will also be seen as Batman in "Batgirl", due to the premiere on HBO Max in 2022. ## Among some other high-profile postponements, Jason Momoa-led highly awaited "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" also moves to 2023. It was slated for December 16, 2022, release but now will debut in theaters on March 17. Meanwhile, "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" moves up and will take "Aquaman 2's" slot.
