Yash Raj Films Unveils Intense First Look Motion Poster of John Abraham In Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'

Mumbai, August 25th - Yash Raj Films is continuing its love affair with a month's 25th date as far as providing the update regarding Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited spy action thriller Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand. ## The studio unveiled the first look of SRK on 25th June, followed by Deepika Padukone's on July 25th, and now, continuing the process, YRF has revealed the first look motion poster of John Abraham today on August 25. It all started after YRF announced the release date of "Pathaan", which is January 25th, 2023. ## John Abraham is playing the villain in the film and will be locking horns with SRK's Pathaan. Chennai, August 24 - Legendary actor Nagarjuna Akkineni is making his Hindi film comeback after almost 19 years with the upcoming fantasy adventure film Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva. Mumbai, August 24 - The teaser of the much-awaited Bollywood biggie, Vikram Vedha, the official remake of the Tamil movie of the same name, was dropped on August 24, Wednesday. The Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan-starrer gets a big boost 1 month before the release, thanks to the action-packed teaser. ## Most of the Bollywood movies post-pandemic have failed to make a very good impression through their teaser/trailers but "Vikram Vedha" seems to have changed that as it is getting anonyms positive response from the audiences which has been the biggest critic of Bollywood movies over the last one year or so. ## Directed by Pushkar–Gayathri, the film features Hrithik as gangster Vedha while Saif plays a cop named Vikram. The teaser begins with Hrithik as Vedha says "Ek Kahani Sunaye, Sir?" to Saif's Vikram. 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' Forces Dharma Production To Delay Tiger Shroff's 'Screw Dheela'

Mumbai, August 23 - Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff was all set to begin the shooting of director Shashank Khaitan's romantic actioner Screw Dheela in September this year, however, the movie has now been delayed to 2023. ## According to reports, Karan Johar who is producing the film under his banner Dharma Productions wanted Tiger to allot multiple months for the film's shoot, but the actor has other films too which were announced before "Screw Dheela" and are scheduled to go on floors later this year and early next year. ## While Tiger could still have managed to find dates for Dharma's film, one movie that actually forced the studio to delay the shooting is Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Mumbai, August 22 - Filmfare magazine has reacted to National Award-winning actress, Kangana Ranaut's remarks against it. The magazine said in a statement that Kangana's remarks, in which she threatened to sue Filmfare nominating her for this year's Filmfare awards against her objection, are malicious. ## It pains us at Filmfare, today, to be subjected to unwarranted malicious remarks by Ms. Kangana Ranaut", Filmfare said in a statement. "For over six decades, Filmfare Awards, and Filmfare, at large, has been a platform that celebrates and honours talent in the Film industry impartially and with utmost transparency. It is our strong ethic that has helped us in gaining the trust of our audiences and the film industry. ## Kangana alleged that Filmfare invited her to the award ceremony and wanted to give her the Best Actress award. Bollywood Is Rejected Because of Its Arrogance, Says Vivek Agnihotri

Mumbai, August 21 - Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri said that the reason behind Bollywood's rejection is its arrogance. The "The Kashmir Files" director was speaking in response to director Anurag Kashyap's remark on his film during a recent interview in which he said that TKF shouldn't be chosen for India's official entry for Oscars 2022. ## The selection for India's Oscars entry is made by the Film Federation of India (FFI), the apex body of film producers, distributors, exhibitors, and studio owners, and since 1957, when Mehboob Khan's 'Mother India' lost by just a vote, all of two Indian films - Mira Nair's "Salaam Bombay" (1988) and the Aamir Khan-starrer "Lagaan" (2001) have made it to the Oscar nominations shortlist.## It is possible that "The Kashmir Files" may not be picked as India's entry but Vivek Agnihotri has reasons to feel offended by Kashyap's remark. "Bollywood is suffering today because you are trying to pass on your own failure to an individual because his films work", he said. ## "Go to any middle-class, urban, semi-urban household and interview them and you will find how people hate the arrogance, glossy lifestyle, and the disconnect of Bollywood with real-life audiences".## Agnihotri said that people have seen through "all this hypocrisy, arrogance, and this flashy, flamboyant lifestyle, paid organized publicity campaigns... and now they are not willing to accept it, which is a good thing, which has made Bollywood rethink the ideology they follow".## "They are still running a campaign against 'The Kashmir Files' Oscars submission. So, they are experts on this. It is a serious topic and I take it very seriously. If people are boycotting their films it is because of the anger of the audience. Mumbai, August 19 - Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar's Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan, respectively have completed an extended opening week at the box office and numbers are something that industry had never thought about. ## The combined collection of both the films is around 90 crores net, which is not even close to what trade had predicated before the release. ## "Laal Singh Chaddha", which is the remake of the Hollywood classic hit "Forrest Gump", has been a bigger disappointment as its first-week collection (~ 50 cr) couldn't even cross the opening day numbers of Aamir Khan's last film "Thugs of Hindostan" which scored 50.75 crores net in 2018. ## Directed by Advait Chandan, the overseas collection of the film is somehow respectable with close to 50 crores gross (not final) but the domestic box office is forgettable, to say the least. The negativity around the film before its release also played a massive role in its disastrous fate even though the reception for the film was mixed. ## On the other hand, Akshay Kumar-fronted "Raksha Bandhan" too couldn't get going despite the positive word of mouth. The stakes for the film were low but it still performed underwhelmingly, especially knowing the fact that it has a perfect holiday period to outshine the underfire LSC. As a result, RB scored approx. 39 crores net while the overseas collection is approx. 8 crores, for the worldwide gross total of the film at 54 crores after 8 days. ## The Bollywood industry has now pinned its hopes on the next big release, which is director Ayan Mukerji's magnum opus "Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva". Scheduled for September 9 in multiple languages, the film features an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy along with the cameos of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. ## Stay tuned...

Hrithik Roshan Reveals A Direct Link Between 'The Lord of the Rings' And 'Krrish'

Mumbai, August 19 - Amazon Prime Video is all set to launch its biggest series yet The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, scheduled for September 2. The series had its premiere in Mumbai on Tuesday as the entire cast of it was present. ## Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan attended the premiere and also interacted with the LOTR cast at the event organized by Prime Video. During his interaction with the star cast of the series, Hrithik revealed that it was the "Lord of The Rings" trilogy that inspired his father Rakesh Roshan to make India's original sci-fi superhero film series "Krrish". ## "He was talking about the way they've used this one great incredible idea and then had this progression which was so incredible and [asked] 'why can't we do that?'", said Roshan.## "He said 'why can't we take 'Koi... Mil Gaya' - which is one of our previous films - 'and have a progression and build on that' - and that was the birth of 'Krrish'", Roshan revealed. "If there was no 'Lord of the Rings', there'd be no 'Krrish'".## "Krrish" is India's first superhero film franchise and there have already been three films in it. "Krrish 4" is currently in the scripting stage and is likely to go on floors by the end of the next year. Box Office: Raksha Bandhan Second Thursday Early Estimate

Mumbai, August 18 - Rakshan Bandhan is moving for another disaster day at the box office in terms of collections. The film is seeing daily massive drops which are never been seen before in Akshay Kumar starrer films.
