'Godzilla vs. Kong' Sequel Is Officially In The Development To Begin Filming In Australia In Late 2022

Mumbai, March 21 - Legendary Entertainment's "Godzilla vs. Kong" is officially is in the development to begin the film in Australia later this year. The Queensland state government has confirmed the shooting development of the sequel. ## The yet-untitled sequel will be the third monster verse film to be filmed in Queensland state. According to Variety, the film is expected to film at Gold Coast and other locations in Southeast Queensland. Earlier, "Godzilla vs Kong" was filmed on the Gold Coast in 2019, and "Kong: Skull Island" was filmed in the state in 2016. ## "The Morrison Government continues to boost to the Queensland economy with another international blockbuster from the MonsterVerse franchise drawn to Australia, with $16 million in funding under the highly successful $540 million Location Incentive Program", according to a press release by a Queensland minster (via wegotthiscovered).## The Variety report said that the makers will receive A$16 million ($11.8 million), and an additional A$6.3 million ($4.66 million) of subsidy will come from the state screen agency Screen Queensland and its Production Attraction Strategy.## The production of the "Godzilla vs. Kong" sequel is expected to generate more than A$119 million ($88 million) into the Australian economy and will provide employment to over 500 local casts and crew and use more than 750 extras.## Meanwhile, "Godzilla vs. Kong", which was released in March 2021, was the first movie to reach $100 million domestically (North America) during the covid-19 pandemic and went on to score over $468 million globally. 20th Century Studios Assures 'Avatar 2' Will Be Released In December 2022

Mumbai, March 4 - James Cameron's global sensation, "Avatar 2", will be in the action from December this year, after speculations of its postponement. The sequel to the 2009's sci-fi epic, as assured by 20th Century Studios president Steve Asbell, will not be delayed again. ## "Avatar 2", had there been no covid-19 pandemic, would have been released in December 2021 itself, but now be hitting worldwide screens on December 16, 2022. Mumbai, March 1 - Warner Bros. has decided to pause the release of its highly-anticipated DC movie, "The Batman" in Russia amid the continuous invasion of Ukraine. "The Batman", starring Robert Pattinson, was slated for March 3rd release in Russia, which has now been pulled at the 11th hour.## "In light of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, WarnerMedia is pausing the release of its feature film The Batman in Russia", a WarnerMedia spokesperson said in a statement. "We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves. We hope for a swift and peaceful resolution to this tragedy". ## Apart from Warner Bros., Sony Pictures has also taken a decision to not release its upcoming movies in Russia, including the high-profile Marvel pic "Morbius", starring Jared Leto. "Morbius" was slated for January 28 release this year, but now, postponed to April 1st.## "Given the ongoing military action in Ukraine and the resulting uncertainty and humanitarian crisis unfolding in that region, we will be pausing our planned theatrical releases in Russia, including the upcoming release of Morbius", a Sony spokesperson said late Monday.## Russia has been one of the biggest international markets for Hollywood films. The recently released Sony's "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has so far grossed $44.5 million in Russia since its debut in December 2021. ## It is to be known that Disney was the first to take the decision of not releasing its film in Russia.
