Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Second Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, December 13 - Pushpa 2 starts the second weekend with a fantastic hold at the Hindi box office with the collection coming in more or less in the same range as yesterday, the second Thursday. In the first week, the movie minted around 425 crores net collection in Hindi.## According to the early estimates, Pushpa 2 has scored in the range of 26-27 crores on its second Friday/9th day in Hindi, pushing the total collection to over 450 crores net. The second weekend is probably heading for 100+ crores net with a drop of around 50% from the first Friday to Sunday weekend which is an excellent hold. ## As said, Pushpa 2 will enter the 500 crores net club by the second Sunday (11 days) and will become the fastest to achieve this feat, taking 7 fewer days than Jawan which is currently the fastest to do so in 18 days. Pushpa 2 is certain to beat Stree 2 (598 crores net), probably by next weekend to become the biggest Hindi grosser. ## Apart from Hindi, the Allu Arjun-fronted blockbuster action drama has a decent hold in Telugu states and the rest of the market as overall second Friday is estimated to gross in the range of 40 crores in all versions. Mumbai, December 13 - The hugely-anticipated film of director SS Rajamouli with superstar Mahesh Babu is gearing up to go on floors early next year. The pre-production of the film, tentatively called SSMB 29, is ongoing and the makers will officially announce the project soon. ## According to the latest report by Filmfare, the makers are in talks with India's global star Priyanka Chopra to come on board to play the female lead. The actress hasn't done an Indian movie since The Sky Is Pink (2019), but SSMB 29 can be her mega comeback to the Indian cinema if the report is true. ## While there haven't been any official words from the makers yet, the movie has been making buzz for quite some time with its casting. Allu Arjun Sent For 14-Day Judicial Custody In Sandhya Theater Stampede Case

Hyderabad, December 13 - In a shocking turn of events, superstar Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in a case related to a stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad where a woman died. This happened when the premiere of the actor's Pushpa 2 - The Rule was held and was attended by Allu Arjun and family on December 4. ## Now, according to the latest media reports, the bail of Allu Arjun has been rejected and sent to 14-dau judicial custody by a local court in Telangana in the case in which the deceased son was also injured and undergoing treatment. The actor has moved the Telangana High Court for urgent relief.## Earlier in the day, a police team, headed by the assistant commissioner, arrived at Arjun's home to take him into custody whilst his family members were present. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Second Day/First Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, December 6 - After the historic opening day collection, superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has a sensational hold in Hindi on its second day with a drop of around 25% despite the mid-week release and mammoth opening. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 breached the half-century mark again on its first Friday/second day as early estimates suggest the collection in the range of 52 crores net which can rise to 55 crores depending on the hold in the mass belt which will be known by tomorrow. ## The total Hindi collection of the film has crossed the 100 crores mark in just 2 days at around 122+ crores net which also surpassed the lifetime Hindi total of Pushpa - The Rise (106+ crores net). The pre-sales for Saturday and Sunday are phenomenal as the opening weekend of the movie is expected to be 240-260 crores net. ## While Pushpa 2 is having a riot in Hindi, it witnessed a heavy and might be an alarming drop in South Indian states. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2 - The Rule' Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, December 5 - It's red letter day for the Indian cinema which is seeing history being re-written at the box office, courtesy of the most hyped movie in recent times, Pushpa 2 - The Rule starring superstar Allu Arjun and director by Sukumar. ## After the record-breaking night previews on December 4, the action drama set the box office on fire on its opening day and created history by taking the biggest opening ever in India, beating the record of SS Rajamouli's RRR by a good margin. ## The film is flirting with the biggest opening ever in Hindi which is with Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (65.50 crores net).
