SSMB 29 To Be A Two-Part Epic Adventure, To Be Made On 1000 Crore Budget

Hyderabad, January 1 - The wait for maverick director SS Rajamouli's next film with superstar Mahesh Babu is finally coming to an end with the movie officially getting launched on January 2 in a private ceremony in Hyderabad in the presence of a few people. ## It was recently revealed that India's global icon Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead role opposite Mahesh Babu while Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is the lead antagonist. Now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the yet-untitled epic jungle adventure will be made into two parts. ## The report states that SSMB29 will be made on a budget of 1000 crore, making it the most expensive Indian film. Both SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu won't be taking fees, instead, the duo has entered into a backend deal and has struck a 40% profit-sharing deal with the producers. ## The shoot of the film is expected to kick-start in April this year and the makers are planning to release the first part in 2027, followed by the second part in 2029. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Tops $15 Million In North America

Los Angeles, December 31 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule has ended the year 2024 by topping $15 million at the North American box office, becoming the 7th Indian and 4th South Indian title of all-time to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 joins the elite league of Baahubali 2, Kalki 2898 AD, Pathaan, RRR, Jawan, and Animal in the prestigious box office club. It is likely to beat Animal ($15.02 million) and Jawan ($15.23 million) at the end of its run to become the 5th biggest Indian grosser in NA. ## The action drama is the second biggest Indian grosser of 2024 after Kalki 2898 AD and by far the biggest for Allu Arjun in NA. Hyderabad, December 30 - Telugu superstar and Andhra Pradesh deputy Cheif Minister, Pawan Kalyan has opened up on the recent Sandhya Theatre stampede incident in which superstar Allu Arjun has been made accused by the Telangana government.## The incident occurred during the premiere of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule in Hyderabad on December 4. The actor was watching the movie with fans but due to the huge crowd outside the theatre, a stampede-like situation happened in which a woman died while her son got injured. ## Allu Arjun was arrested recent before getting released on interim bail. Hyderabad, December 27 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule has become the second highest-grossing film in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) after beating superstar Prabhas-fronted Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion in 23 days.## The Sukumar's directorial action drama has grossed approximately 307+ crores in AP-TG in 23 days (including the 4th Friday) as the second biggest grosser, seating between two SS Rajamouli's directorial ventures - Baahubali 2 and RRR. ## Pushpa 2 took one of the biggest openings in Telugu states approximately 89 crores (including previews), before showing a little drop over the first weekend. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Crosses 1500 Crore Gross Collection Worldwide

Hyderabad, December 23 - Pushpa 2 has a fantastic third weekend with close to 100 crores gross and also topped 1500 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming only the third Indian movie of all time to achieve the feat. ## At the end of the third weekend, the Allu Arjun-fronted action drama has scored approximately 1506 crores gross, including around 1267 crores gross collection at the Indian box office. It is currently the second biggest grosser in India, behind Baahubali 2 (1416 crores), however, in terms of the net collection, Pushpa 2 is the number 1 film. ## The contribution from the dubbed Hindi version has been more than 50% of the total collection of Pushpa 2. Hyderabad, December 23 - Superstar Allu Arjun's mega box office blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule has emerged as the number-one film in the history of the online ticketing portal, Book My Show in terms of tickets sold. ## In just 17 days, the action drama film has sold 18+ million (1.80+ crores) tickets, beating Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 which sold around 17.10+ million tickets during its lifetime run. Telangana CM Puts Serious Allegations On Superstar Allu Arjun In Sandhya Theater Stampede Case

Hyderabad, December 21 - Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy fired heavy shots on superstar Allu Arjun in the recent Sandhya Theater Stampede case in which a woman died while her son got severely injured. The actor has been facing legal trial in the case and even was arrested a few days ago before getting interim bail by the High Court. ## The incident occurred on December 4 when Allu Arjun went to watch the premiere of his blockbuster film Pushpa 2 - The Rule in Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad. Due to the heavy rush of his fans, the stampede happened which claimed a precious life. The incident was discussed in the Assembly on Saturday (December 21). ## During his speech, CM Reventh Reddy lambasted the actor and the film fraternity for their inhuman attitude towards the victims. Putting serious allegations on Allu Arjun, the CM said that the actor was denied permission to visit the theatre, and despite that, he watched the film amid a massive crowd. ## Mr Reddy also alleged that even after the incident of the stampede happened, the actor didn't leave the theatre until the DCP came and forcibly put him in the car and even warned him of immediate arrest knowing the seriousness of the case.## "Even on the way back", Reddy said that "He (Allu Arjun) was waving his hands towards the crowd from the roof of the car". The CM questioned the inhuman side of the actor as well as other film fraternity people as none of them responded to the death of the woman in Stampede. ## The CM further said what kind of message the film fraternity was giving when they went to meet Allu Arjun one by one after he came out of jail. Hyderabad, December 17 - Actress Mrunal Thakur is on a roll with back-to-back films across languages and the latest she has joined is Telugu action thriller Decoit as the female opposite Adivi Sesh in the lead role. Debutante Shaneil Deo directs the movie. ## Mrunal has replaced Shruti Haasan, who was originally cast as the female lead but later backed out for unknown reasons. Decoit is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Suniel Narang under the banner of Annapurna Studios, is being shot simultaneously in the Hindi and Telugu languages. ## The movie follows an angry convict plotting revenge against his former girlfriend, who betrayed him. Mumbai, December 15 - Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule surpasses 500 crores net collection in Hindi after scoring a historic 125+ crores net second weekend at the Hindi box office. It is the first movie ever to score 100+ crores net in the second weekend in Hindi. ## Pushpa 2 on its second Sunday is looking to score in the range of 54-56 crores net, according to estimates. Mumbai, December 15 - Pushpa 2 has become the third highest-grossing Indian movie at the worldwide box office in just less than 11 days since its release on December 5. ## With the ongoing 11th day (2nd Sunday), Pushpa 2 - The Rule is expected to be around 1300 crores gross globally, surpassing the lifetime worldwide total of SS Rajamouli's epic RRR (1230 crores gross) and Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 (1215 crores gross) to become the third biggest Indian grosser. ## The Sukumar's directorial blockbuster is now behind Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 (1790 crores gross) and Aamir Khan's Dangal (2070 crores gross) which are currently the biggest Indian titles.
