Prithviraj Sukumaran Gives Update On 'Salaar 2' And 'SSMB 29'

Mumbai, January 28 - Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran has addressed the latest rumours about his casting in director SS Rajamouli's highly-awaited film with superstar Mahesh Babu. It was reported last year that Sukumaran was in talks to play the antagonist role. ## There have been rumours for the last few days that Sukumaran has been replaced by Bollywood star John Abraham due to scheduling issues, however, in the latest interview, the actor confirmed that the talks are still on for SSMB 29 though nothing has been finalized yet. ## Meanwhile, actress Priyanka Chopra is playing the female lead role opposite Mahesh Babu in this epic jungle adventure film. The look test for the actress happened recently in Hyderabad while the regular shoot is expected to commence soon. ## Apart from SSMB29, Prithviraj Sukumaran is also part of director Prashanth Neel's action drama Salaar. The first part of the movie was released in 2023 and the makers have confirmed that Salaar 2 will be released in 2026.## Salaar 2 was supposed to be Neel's immediate next after the first part but according to Sukumaran, the shoot for the film will commence after Neel's highly-awaited movie, Dragon with Superstar Jr. NTR. 'Pushpa 2 - The Rule' OTT Release Date Revealed Without Hindi Version

Hyderabad, January 28 - After the historic box office success, superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule is gearing up for its streaming debut. The movie, directed by Sukumar, the mega-blockbuster will stream on Netflix. ## On Monday, Netflix announced that Pushpa 2 - The Rule would stream in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada languages with the reloaded version of 23 minutes of extra footage which was released in theatres on January 17. It will start streaming on January 30. ## Meanwhile, the streaming giant hasn't confirmed the Hindi version release with the South Indian languages and the reason for the same is not known yet. Hyderabad, January 27 - Power star Pawan Kalyan will return to the big screen with the period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, the film stars Bobby Deol as the main antagonist. ## HHVM has been in production since 2020, but the movie kept getting delayed due to various reasons, including Pawan Kalyan's political commitments. 'Kalki 2898 AD' Sequel Script Is Ready; Movie Planned For 2026 Release

Hyderabad, January 26 - Things are moving faster than expected for Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki - Part 2, which is the sequel to 1000+ crores grosser Kalki 2898 AD. Recently, producer Ashwini Dutt revealed the shooting plans of the movie, and now, director Nag Ashwin provides a crucial update on the same. ## In a recent interview, director Nag Ashwin revealed that the script work on Kalki 2 has been completed and the makers are waiting for the bulk dates of Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan, who played the main roles in the film, to start shooting which is expected to commence in mid of this year. ## The blockbuster director also said that they are planning to release Kalki 2 towards the end of 2026 in cinemas worldwide, depending on the progress of the filming. Hyderabad, January 11 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's political action drama Game Changer, which was released on January 10, took a good start at the domestic box office with over 60 crores gross considering the mixed word of mouth, though it failed to meet the expectations. ## On its second day (first Saturday), the Shankar's directorial venture is witnessing a drop of over 50% which is a bit harsh even by the standards of any big Telugu film which tend to drop after the opening day. The word-of-mouth effect can be seen in day 2's collection, especially in South Indian states. ## According to the early estimates, GC is expected to gross around 13-15 crores in Telugu states, dropping over 60% from the opening day. In Karnataka, the film also dropped by around 50% for an estimated 2.25 crores gross, while in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, it is expected to gross around 2-2.25 crores on the second day. ## The Hindi version of the film surprised on the first day and it remained the best-performing on Saturday with little to no drop as it minted around 7-7.50 crores net on day 2. Hyderabad, January 10 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's political action drama Game Changer has taken a good opening at the domestic box office and surprises in the Hindi version with a better-than-expected start.## The movie scored decent pre-sales and the star power of Ram Charan and his combination with director Shankar made sure it converted to a good start, especially in Telugu states. Despite the mixed reception, the film managed to take the biggest solo opening for RC in all major areas. ## According to the early estimates, Game Changer is expected to gross around 45-50 crores in Telugu states which is a very good start. The previous biggest solo opening of RC in AP/TG was Vinaya Vidheya Rama which grossed around 33 crores back in 2019. ## In Karnataka, GC is estimated to gross 4-5 crores, followed by around 2.50 crores gross in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Produced by Dil Raju, the movie also stars Kiara Advani and SJ Suryah in prominent roles. ## Game Changer is one of the most anticipated movies, and as expected, it has scored fantastic pre-release theatrical business in all major areas. Hyderabad, January 2 - Pushpa 2 has now officially become the highest-grossing film ever at the Indian box office, beating SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion. The Allu Arjun-starrer had already crossed BB2 in terms of net collection in 16 days. ## Starring Prabhas, Baahubali 2 grossed approximately 1417 crores (1030 crores net) in India back in 2017. This record remained unbeatable for more than 7 years and at once, looked like would remain untouched for some more time but Pushpa 2 had other ideas. ## The action drama film has topped BB2 on its 29th day, becoming the biggest blockbuster in India. SSMB 29 To Be A Two-Part Epic Adventure, To Be Made On 1000 Crore Budget

Hyderabad, January 1 - The wait for maverick director SS Rajamouli's next film with superstar Mahesh Babu is finally coming to an end with the movie officially getting launched on January 2 in a private ceremony in Hyderabad in the presence of a few people. ## It was recently revealed that India's global icon Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead role opposite Mahesh Babu while Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is the lead antagonist. Now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the yet-untitled epic jungle adventure will be made into two parts. ## The report states that SSMB29 will be made on a budget of 1000 crore, making it the most expensive Indian film.
