Mahesh Babu's Shocking Remark On Getting Bollywood Films Offer

Hyderabad, May 10 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu will be in the action after more than two years with the upcoming action entertainer, "Sarkaru Vaari Paata", stated for 12th May release. The actor turned producer also awaiting the release of his production venture "Major" starring Adivi Sesh. ## While SVP is an outright Telugu movie, "Major" has been shot in Hindi and Telugu and it will also be released in Malayalam. For the last few years, Pan-India cinema is becoming a norm, however, Mahesh Babu is still not thinking to take his movies to Pan-India, instead, his aim has always been to make movies from the South a countrywide success.## "I always wanted to do Telugu films and wished people across India would watch it. And now when that is happening I'm very happy. I always had this strong opinion that my strength is Telugu films and the emotion I understand is the Telugu film emotion. Today the emotion is so strong, films have become so big that the lines have blurred and it's become Indian cinema", Mahesh Babu said during the trailer launch event of "Major" in Hyderabad yesterday (via DNA). ## While it is a fact that many South Indian actors are eager to make their Bollywood debut, Mahesh Babu seems to be in a different mood as he shockingly said that Bollywood can't afford him despite him getting big offers from Hindi filmmakers. ## "I may sound arrogant, I did get a lot of offers in Hindi. But I think they can't afford me. I don't want to waste my time. The stardom and love I have here in Telugu cinema, I never thought of going to another industry. I always thought I will do films here and they will become bigger, and my belief is turning into a reality now. Hyderabad, May 10 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, who has produced the upcoming Pan-India movie "Major", revealed that he turned down big offers for direct-to-ott release of the movie to save it for the theatrical release. ## "Major", fronted by Adivi Sesh, is turning out to be a much-awaited movie after the launch of the trailer yesterday. Based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the movie also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi, and Murali Sharma in prominent roles. ## Mahesh Babu, who believed that Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's story must be known to the world, stated that the martyr's story is larger than life. ## During the trailer launch event in Hyderabad yesterday, Mahesh Babu revealed that he received lucrative OTT offers during the Covid period, but was adamant that the movie needed to be released in theatres only because the action design and emotions were larger than life.## "Major" has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu while it will also be released in dubbed Malayalam version. SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' Heads For Pay-Per-View On Zee Plex

Hyderabad, May 7 - SS Rajamouli's "RRR" has had a historic run at the box office, grossing over 1100 crores worldwide. The movie, starring Jr. NTR/Ram Charan in the lead, was promised to bring back the glory of Indian cinema and it has fulfilled that by becoming a rage among the domestic as well as overseas audiences. ## Produced by DVV Entertainment, "RRR" has completed six weeks in theaters as its run is coming to an end. It will be available on OTT platforms after 10 weeks of its theatrical release. Box Office: Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Acharya' Shockingly Has A Disastrous Opening Weekend

Hyderabad, May 2 - Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan's action drama film "Acharya" was released amid much curiosity among the fans. The movie did take a huge opening of 51 crores worldwide gross, however, the box office result after the first day turned out to be shockingly disastrous. ## Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie got bad reviews and it is termed the weakest film in director Siva's filmography. As a result of the bad reviews and negative word of mouth, the movie plumbed massively on the second day and grossed just 10 crores with a huge drop of 76%.## There was no respite for the film on Sunday as well as it further dropped to 7.70 crores gross and registered a disappointing opening weekend with 61.10 crores gross at the domestic box office. Overseas, it scored approx. 11 crores gross, pushing worldwide cume to 72 crores. With a look at it, 72 crores worldwide gross in just 3 days sounds big numbers, but the huge drop on the second day itself and with no way going forward, is going to cause major losses to the distributors. ## The movie was valued at approx. 140 crores gross in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh & Telangana), but it seems it will be difficult for the movie to score even 50 crores AP/TG share in its lifetime run. As of now, for the first three days, the AP/TG share of "Acharya" is 38.77 crores, and as per industry insiders, the exhibitors are expected to lose approx. 80 crores. It is heading toward one of the biggest disasters in the Telugu film industry. ## "Acharya" is produced by Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment. In the movie, Chiranjeevi played the title role while Ram Charan, who is fresh from his biggest blockbuster "RRR", played the second lead as Siddha. Director Koratala Siva Talks About Trimming Kajal Aggarwal's Role In Acharya

Hyderabad, April 25 - Telugu movie, Acharya is all set to hit screens on April 28. The movie stars megastar Chiranjeevi in the title role along with Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde, and Sonu Sood in key roles. Directed by Koratala Siva, the action drama movie was also supposed to feature actress Kajal Aggarwal in a key role, but her role has now been chopped off. ## Earlier, there were reports that Kajal's role was chopped off because she opted out of the movie due to her pregnancy. Director Korala Siva, however, has now revealed that Kajal's role was trimmed because it was not fitting with the premise of the movie because it was not concluded well. ## "Initially, I designed a very funny character for Kajal Aggarwal in Acharya and we also shot her portions for 3-4 days. But when I watched the rushes, her role was not really fitting with the flow of the movie, and also I was unable to conclude her role properly in the story, so I decided to trim her character and informed the same to her", the director said during a media interaction for Acharya promotions. ## Koratala Siva further said that the actress understood her concern and took the decision in a positive way. Ram Charan Gives Update On Acharya Hindi Release

Hyderabad, April 24 - Telugu superstars Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan will be headlining the upcoming Telugu action drama film, "Acharya", which is scheduled to release on 28 April. Directed by Koratal Siva, the pre-release event of the film was held in Hyderabad on April 23. ## "Acharya" was also supposed to release in the dubbed Hindi version simultaneously with Telugu, however, the Hindi version will now be released at a later stage.
