The gardens were built on a terrace structure, with water being brought in to irrigate the plants via a complex system of pumps and channels. ## 3. The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus in modern-day Turkey: The Temple of Artemis was built in the 6th century BC and was dedicated to the goddess Artemis. It was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World for its size, beauty, and architectural achievement. The temple was made of marble and decorated with sculptures and reliefs, and was burned down twice, first by an arson and second by the Goths. ## 4. The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus in modern-day Turkey: The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus was built in the 4th century BC as a tomb for the Persian ruler Mausolus and his wife.
