Mumbai, January 28 - Superstar Yash is busy shooting for director Geetu Mohandas' gangster action thriller Toxic which is the actor's first film since all-time blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2. The actor also has director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana which has been on the floors since last year. ## In a recent interview, Yash confirmed his participation in Ramayana, not only as an actor but also as a co-producer. Now, according to the report by Filmfare, the actor will join the shoot of this epic by March this year. He will start with solo sequences in Lanka, followed by the Panchvati sequence. ## As already known to all, Yash is playing the role of Raavan while Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi plays Goddess Sita. The film will be released in two parts, with the first part scheduled for Diwali 2026, followed by the second part on Diwali 2027.## Ramayana is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios with Yash's Monster Mind Creations. Bengaluru, January 9 - After scripting history 3 years ago with KGF: Chapter 2, Kannada superstar Yash will return to the big screen with gangster action drama Toxic - A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, directed by national award-winning director Geetu Mohandas. ## Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is currently being wrapped and is expected to be released in December this year. Meanwhile, the makers of the film treated fans with the first look glimpse on the occasion of Yash's birthday on January 8. ## While the first look glimpse didn't reveal much about the plot, it has helped raise the buzz after the blockbuster response on social media. Mumbai, December 21 - The Indian box office once again is set to be on fire in December 2025 as superstar Yash-fronted gangster action drama Toxic is more or less confirmed to hit the big screen during the month. There is James Cameron's Avatar 3 already slated to release. ## Toxic, directed by National Award-winning director Geethu Mohandas, is currently on floors. It was originally announced for an April 2025 release but due to the delay in production, the film was pushed back. According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the makers are now aiming to release it in December while the exact date will be locked soon. ## Yash who has also produced the film with KVN Productions, is reportedly in talks with 20th Century Fox for overseas distribution. "The discussions are in very nascent stages but the intent is to make Toxic a global project. Yash strongly believes that the story-telling pattern and visuals of Toxic are right up there with international projects and is exploring the possibilities of partnering with a global giant for a massive release", reports Pinkvilla. ## Meanwhile, Yash also has a mega project Ramayana in the production stage. Mumbai, December 10 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is the biggest Indian movie in the making. The 2-part epic has officially been confirmed to be headlined by Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi and Goddess Sita and Yash as Lankesh. ## Bollywood star Sunny Deol, who had long been rumoured to be part of this epic as Lord Hanuman, has officially confirmed himself on board. At the third edition of SCREEN Live in Mumbai, Sunny revealed he is part of the project and shared some insights into it.## The Gadar 2 star lauded and hyped the vision of the makers of Ramayana which he believes is going to be a great film. "Ramayana is a long project because they're trying to make it the way Avatar and Planet of the Apes movies were made. The writer and director are very clear about the way it has to be and how the characters should be presented", Sunny said, per Indian Express.## The visual effects of Ramayana are being done by, who is also one of the producers with Yash, Namit Malhotra's Oscar-winning studio DNEG, and according to Sunny, the CGI will give the impression of complete genuinelity. ## "You will also get to see the special effects that will make you believe that it (the events unfolding) has very genuinely happened rather than making one feel that these are special effects. The actor is presently working on the gangster action drama Toxic with director Geetu Mohandas and director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana. ## During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor responded to a question asked by THR India Editor Anupama Chopra who quoted a "great admirer" of Yash, Indian cricketer Shubman Gill, who wants to know when KGF 3 is going to happen?".## The actor said KGF 3 will surely happen once he finishes Toxic and Ramayana. However, it was recently reported that the movie had been postponed due to date issues of involved actors.
