Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' To Release In Theaters

Mumbai, May 27 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's much-awaited social comedy-drama film OMG - Oh My God! - 2 will be released in theaters, contrary to rumors about the direct-to-digital release. ## Directed by Amit Rai, the movie is a spiritual sequel to "OMG – Oh My God! (2012) and stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam. The movie has been in production since 2021. The movie was supposed to release in cinemas last year, however, due to the delay in the shoot, the makers postponed the release indefinitely. ## It was recently reported that the movie has opted for a direct OTT release, however, the makers never confirmed the same. Now, according to Pinkvilla, "OMG 2" is being readied for its theatrical release this year as the makers never discussed its OTT release. ## "Akshay Kumar along with his partners, Ashwin Varde, Viacom 18, and Jio Studios have decided on a theatrical release for Oh My God 2. Several discussions happen throughout the course of making, but, Oh My God 2 was always announced as a theatrical venture. Mumbai, May 26 - The 4th installment of producer Vipul Shah's action thriller franchise Commando is officially in the works and has already commenced filming, confirms Adah Sharma who reprises her role as Bhavana Reddy. ## The shoot of Commando 4 commences with no prior announcement. The movie reunites the lead pair Vidyut Jammwal and Adah Sharma after "Commando 3" which was released in 2019.## During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Adah said that she is excited to be back as Bhavana Reddy in the upcoming film. "I am doing Commando with him (Vipul Shah), where I again play Bhavana Reddy. So for the action fans, that’s still there. Box Office: The Kerala Story Scored Fantastic Third Week Domestically

Mumbai, May 26 - Director Sudipto Sen's blockbuster The Kerala Story continues to make money at the box office after putting up a solid third-week collection. During its 3rd week, the movie also crossed the 200 crores net mark and became only the second Bollywood movie of the year to do so. ## The Adah Sharma-fronted movie scored approx. 41.50 crores net collection (-54.21% from the second week), which is the 6th biggest third-week total for a Bollywood movie of all time. This pushed the total net collection of "The Kerala Story" to over 212 crores, which makes it the 24th highest-earning Hindi of all time. ## "The Kerala Story" will look to top "The Kashmir Files" in its lifetime run. TKF scored approx. 252 crores net collection, which is the 16th highest-ever for a Hindi movie. Mumbai, May 17 - Sunny Deol-fronted romantic period action drama film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha with director Anil Sharma was released in June 2001 and went on to become the highest-grossing Indian film.## Over the year, "Gadar" gained cult status with immense popularity among all age groups, and now, the makers are coming with its sequel Gadar: The Katha Continues which is gearing up for its release in August this year. It is set 20 years after the first film and will see Sunny Deol reprising his role along with Ameesha Patel, and grown-up Utkarsh Sharma. ## Now, the makers are planning to re-release "Gadar" in cinemas in a 4K version ahead of its sequel's release. According to Pinkvilla, "Gadar" will be re-released in cinema halls all across the country on June 9, which coincides with the week in which Gadar was released back in the day. ## It is said to be a proper wide re-release as it will also be released in single screens along with multiplex chains. The plan is to prepare the audience for its sequel by showing them what happened in the first part. Box Office: The Kerala Story Second Tuesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 16 - Blockbuster The Kerala Story has crossed the 150 crores net mark and becomes the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 2023 after another rock-solid day at the box office. ## On its second Tuesday, The Kerala Story sees a negligible drop of just around 5% for an estimated 9.75-10 crores net collection. This takes the total net collection to approx. 157 in just 12 days. It is now only behind Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which is miles ahead with over 500 crores net. ## As far as the gross collection is concerned, TKS will cross 200 crores at the worldwide box office by tomorrow and will become the third Bollywood movie of the year to do so.
