Box Office: 'Guntur Kaaram' and 'Hanuman' First Monday/Fourth Day Early Estimates
Hyderabad, January 15 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's action drama Guntur Kaaram held strongly on its first Monday, enjoying the perks of the Pongal holidays. The movie did show a minor jump of around 3% on Sunday, and it remained in the same range with a similar kind of jump today. ## According to early estimates, Guntur Kaaram minted around 14-15 crores net (16-17 crores gross) collection on its first Monday, a holiday in South India. The movie has started getting the support of family audiences, despite the mixed word-of-mouth. Since the big drop on the second day, the film hasn't dropped further which is a good sign. ## The film's total collection has reached around 83+ crores net (98 crores gross) after the first 4 days, as per estimates. Guntur Kaaram should show the same trend over the next two days as the Pongal holidays continue and then the second weekend should help it further. ## Meanwhile, director Prashanth Varma's Hanuman has another rock-solid day at the box office. In the original Telugu version, the movie has its biggest day while the Hindi version too has a stronghold and it eventually collects more than the first day numbers. According to early estimates, the superhero movie scored 14-15 crores net (16-17 crores gross) on its first Monday/4th day. In Telugu, the movie is looking to score around 11 crores net (13 crores gross) while the Hindi collection is expected to be around 3.50-4 crores net, with a mighty jump of over 65% over the first-day collection.## Hanuman's total collection, after 4 days, is around 55+ crores net (65 crores gross), including 39+ crores net in Telugu and 15.50+ crores net in Hindi.
