Box Office: 'Guntur Kaaram' and 'Hanuman' First Monday/Fourth Day Early Estimates

Hyderabad, January 15 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's action drama Guntur Kaaram held strongly on its first Monday, enjoying the perks of the Pongal holidays. The movie did show a minor jump of around 3% on Sunday, and it remained in the same range with a similar kind of jump today. ## According to early estimates, Guntur Kaaram minted around 14-15 crores net (16-17 crores gross) collection on its first Monday, a holiday in South India. The movie has started getting the support of family audiences, despite the mixed word-of-mouth. Since the big drop on the second day, the film hasn't dropped further which is a good sign. ## The film's total collection has reached around 83+ crores net (98 crores gross) after the first 4 days, as per estimates. Guntur Kaaram should show the same trend over the next two days as the Pongal holidays continue and then the second weekend should help it further. ## Meanwhile, director Prashanth Varma's Hanuman has another rock-solid day at the box office. In the original Telugu version, the movie has its biggest day while the Hindi version too has a stronghold and it eventually collects more than the first day numbers. According to early estimates, the superhero movie scored 14-15 crores net (16-17 crores gross) on its first Monday/4th day. Netflix Announces Post-Theatrical Streaming Telugu Films In 2024

Hyderabad, January 15 - Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of some of the biggest Telugu Pan-Indian films in 2024 and beyond. The streamer has been putting efforts to make a mark in the Indian digital space and its upcoming South Indian slate is the first major push. ## The biggest film Netflix has acquired is the upcoming Pan India movie Pushpa - The Rule. Starring superstar Allu Arjun, the action drama film is scheduled to release theatrically on August 15, 2024, in multiple languages and it is likely to be available on Netflix after an 8-week theatrical window in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil. ## Superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara - Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, is another big Telugu Pan India film acquired by Netflix after its theatrical release, which is on April 5. The movie, just like Pushpa 2, is expected to be ready to stream after 8 weeks of the theatrical window in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil. ## Director Prashanth Neel and superstar Prabhas' Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, which was released during Christmas 2023 weekend, will also be streaming on Netflix soon. The movie has emerged as a big box office success with a worldwide gross collection of over 600 crores. Netflix will stream it in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil language. ## The line-up also includes Vijay Deverakonda's untitled action drama film VD 12, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The theatrical release date of the movie is not locked yet. Box Office: 'Hanuman' On Course To Emerge A Big Blockbuster Worldwide

Hyderabad, January 15 - Director Prashanth Varma's superhero movie Hanuman is on course to become a huge blockbuster at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office. It was one of the films released this Sankranthi festival with lower stakes but has now started coming on top. ## Starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, Hanuman has completed its first weekend, grossing over 72 crores at the worldwide box office. In India, the movie has minted 47+ crores gross (including 5 crores previews) while the overseas collection is approximately 25 crores. ## The Hindi dubbed version of the film is a big surprise at the box office. Though the movie hasn't shown a big spike, it came on the positive side of yesterday's collection, which is good. ## According to early estimates, the action drama film scored around 14-15 crores net (16-17 crores gross) collection on its first Sunday, pushing the total collection to around 69 crores net (81 crores gross) after the first 3-day opening weekend. ## Despite the mixed reviews, the film didn't drop, which can be seen as a positive trend and the same is expected over the next couple of days during the Pongal holidays. Box Office: Guntur Kaaram and Hanuman Second Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Hyderabad, January 13 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's action drama Guntur Kaaram, after a very good opening of over 41 crores net, is showing a big drop on its second day which could be a concerning factor for the film in the going ahead. ## The movie did manage to do well on its first day due to star power despite the mixed word of mouth but that came into play on the second day as it scored an estimated 13-14 crore net (15-16 crore gross) with a drop of around 70%. ## The drop in collection is a bit heavy even though the first day was huge and theatres also decreased due to the release of Saindhav and the strong performance of Hanuman but the holiday period is going on so the drop should have been under or around 50% which is normal for Telugu movies. ## The total Guntur Kaaram after two days is around 54 crores net (64 crores gross) which is a good number overall but it needs to hold extremely well in the coming days to reach even close to its break-even target which is around 170 crores gross domestically. ## Meanwhile, director Prashanth Varma's superhero movie Hanuman, which was released with Guntur Kaaram, has shown a big jump in collection on its second day. Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' Worldwide Theatrical Business Details

Hyderabad, January 5 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's action drama Guntur Kaaram, directed by Trivikram is all set to hit the big screens on January 12, and the preparations are being made for the grand release worldwide. ## The last time Mahesh Babu released his film at the Sankranthi festival, it went on to become his highest-grossing in the form of Sarileru Neekevvaru, and the expectations are even higher this time. Guntur Kaaram is one of the most-anticipated Telugu movies of the year and the trade is expecting it to turn out big box office success. ## The film has done a record pre-release theatrical business worldwide for Mahesh Babu, even though it is going to release in a jam-packed festive weekend. Guntur Kaaram's theatrical business has been locked a huge approximately 134 crores worldwide, which is a record for a non-pan Indian Telugu movie. ## The business in two Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) is approximately 104 crores, including 42 crores in Nizam and 14 crores in Ceded area, according to Track Tollywood. Outside AP/TG, the theatrical rights of the movie are locked at approximately 9 crores while overseas business is around 21 crores. ## Guntur Kaaram will need to score approximately 135 crores share or around 225 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office to break even and emerge as a clean box office hit. Box Office: 'Salaar' Hits 100 Crore Gross Milestone In Nizam

Hyderabad, January 5 - Pan India superstar Prabhas has stamped his authority once again in Nizam with his latest blockbuster Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire which has crossed 100 crores gross mark in this region. ## The Baabubali star, after a few disappointing outings in the past, makes a roaring comeback with his latest action drama which is nearing the 600 crores gross mark at the global box office. In Nizam alone, the movie has crossed the 100 crores gross mark, including share of over 70 crores. ## Salaar: Ceasefire is only the third film ever to reach the milestone of 100 crores gross in Nizam, after RRR, and Baahubali. Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' Off To Good Start In The North American Advance Sales

Los Angeles, January 5 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram Srinivas' action drama Guntur Kaaram is having a good buzz among the audiences and is all set to a very good start at the domestic and overseas box office this Sankranthi festival. ## "Guntur Kaaram" will have its USA premiere on January 11, and the booking of the same opened on a very good note. According to Venky Box Office, the pre-sales of the film for the premiere is approximately $320K (2.50 crores) from around 12.5K tickets sold in North America. ## The film has witnessed a very good jump in pre-sales over the last couple of days as more shows are being added regularly. Prabhas 'Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam' To Release In 2025

Hyderabad, January 3 - Superstar Prabhas is basking on the success of his action drama Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, directed by Prashanth Neel. The movie, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, was promised a two-part story, and the first part ended with a cliffhanger which sets the stage for a big face-off between Prabhas and Sukumaran. ## The title of the film's second part, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam was revealed in the climax of the first part and now, the producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films has revealed details about the release of the second part. ## During an interview with Pinkvilla, the producer revealed that the script of Salaar 2 is ready and the team is in the process of starting it any time. He further said that he along with Prabhas and Prashanth Neel have been discussing Salaar 2 in the last few days as the actor and director are keen to start it soon. ## Vijay Kiragandur has promised that Salaar 2 will be released in 2025 as they want to make it in the next 15 months. "Salaar 1 is just a glimpse of part two. You can treat it as a trailer and part two will be a lot bigger in terms of action and scale. Hyderabad, January 2 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire concluded 2023 on a high note, entering the 500 crores gross club at the worldwide box office. It is the first 500 crores grosser for Prabhas since "Baahubali 2" (2017); overall, it is his 3rd. ## The Prashanth Neel's directorial blockbuster has kicked off 2024 by keeping the film's blockbuster run continuing as it has now become the 5th biggest Indian grosser of 2023 at the domestic box office.
