Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Bhagavanth Kesari' Pre-Release Business Details

Hyderabad, August 20 - Veteran Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna is flying high with back-to-back box office success. While the actor's "Akhanda" (2021) became his first 100 crores worldwide grosser, his "Veera Simha Reddy" topped it earlier this year and emerge NBK's biggest grosser yet.## Nandamuri Balakrishna is now gearing up for his next blockbuster, titled "Bhagavanth Kesari". Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the action comedy-drama is one of the most-anticipated Telugu movies of the year. The movie is expected to continue the winning streak for the actor, and considering the hype around it, the makers have been able to fetch record pre-release theatrical business for the same.## According to Telugu media reports, the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) theatrical rights have been sold at approx. 62 crores. Renowned producer Dil Raju is said to have bought Nizam area rights for approx. 14 crores while Ceded area rights are reportedly sold to Abhishek Reddy for approx. 12.50 crores. ## Overall, the worldwide theatrical business of the movie is said to be locked at around 72 crores which is in the same range as "Veera Simha Reddy". "Bhagavanth Kesari" will need to gross 120+ crores worldwide in order to break even, which should be a cakewalk unless it receives poor reception.## "Bhagavanth Kesari" is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the banner of Shine Screens banner. It stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in the titular role alongside Kajal Aggarwal, Sreeleela, and Arjun Rampal, who is making his debut in Telugu cinema. Hyderabad, August 19 - Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu coming together for the romantic drama film "Kushi". However, in-between raining blockbusters, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi's "Bholaa Shankar" disappointed big time and registered a low opening weekend at the domestic as well as global box office.## Directed by Meher Ramesh, "Bholaa Shankar" was expected to continue the winning run for Chiranjeevi after the big blockbuster success of "Waltair Veerayya" earlier this year. But it was not the case as "Bholaa Shankar" recorded one of the lowest weekend collections for the superstar in recent times.## "Bhola Shankar" grossed approx. 36 crores worldwide, including just 5 crores at the overseas box office over the 3-day weekend. Hyderabad, July 29 - Power star Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej's fantasy comedy-drama film "Bro" has taken a huge start at the worldwide box office, grossing approx. 44 crores. Pawan Kalyan is playing a supporting role in the movie still he pulled up a massive crowd in cinemas on the opening day. ## Directed by Samuthirakani, "Bro" grossed a huge approx. 32 crores gross (excl. hires), including approx. 23.60 crores share collection in the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Dulquer Salmaan Announces His Next Pan India Movie 'Kaantha'

Kochi, July 28 - Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan will headline his next Pan India movie "Kaantha". DQ will produce the film under his banner Wayfarer Films in association with Rana Daggubati's Spirit Media.## While the plot details of the movie are kept under wraps for now, "Kaantha will be directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, whose debut feature "Nila" (2016) won the audience award at the Cinequest San Jose Film Festival. The filmmaker also assisted Ang Lee on the Oscar-winning "Life of Pi" (2012).## The movie was announced on DQ's birthday today. Tokyo, July 25 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's period action drama film "Rangasthalam" has crossed 1 crore at the Japanese box office after the second weekend. Directed by Sukumar, the movie was released in Japan on July 14, more than 5 years after its original release in 2018.## "Rangasthalam" has taken a decent start in Japan with ¥10.1 million or approx. 60 lakh in the 3-day opening weekend before ending the full week with ¥16.4 million or 95 lakh. Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898 AD' New Release Date Reportedly Revealed

Hyderabad, July 24 - According to the new rumours, superstar Prabhas' much-awaited Pan India sci-fi epic movie "Kalki 2898 AD" aka "Project K" has been postponed from January to summer 2024. The movie is directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. ## The title of the movie was recently unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con event with the first look glimpse. The title has been kept after one of the names of Lord Vishnu as the movie is a mixture of mythology and science fiction. ## Earlier this year, makers announced that "Kalki 2898 AD" would be released on January 12, 2024, in multiple languages worldwide. However, the shoot of the movie is still going on which led to speculations to its postponement.
