Icon Star Allu Arjun Becomes The First South Indian Actor To Win The Indian of The Year Award
New Delhi, October 13 - Icon star Allu Arjun continues to win accolades post the blockbuster hit Pushpa - The Rise, which was released in December last year. While the movie was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021, the signature steps of AA as Pushpa continues to trend among the audience, especially in North India. ## Allu Arjun has created a huge fanbase in North India via the Hindi dubbed versions of his Telugu hit films on YouTube channels and TV. "Pushpa" became a huge hit in Hindi which made Allu Arjun a household name across the country and now, he has become the first South Indian actor to win the CNN-News18 Indian of the Year award. ## The superstar was recently honored with the prestigious award in New Delhi by union minister Smriti Irani. The actor dedicated the award to Covid-19 warriors who worked relentlessly over the last couple of years during the biggest health crisis in over a century and also said that this award is a win for the Indian cinema as his movie was loved by the entire country. ## Allu Arjun signed off his speech by pronouncing the most trending dialogue of the movie, "Indian cinema, India Kabhi Jhukega Nahin (Indian cinema, India will never bow down)". The dialogue has somewhat become the identity of pride and has been used by politicians during rallies and other occasions. ## The "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo" actor went on to say that he's been working in the film industry for 20 years now, and this is the first time he's ever received an award from the north so it's very special for him. He also said that despite the difference between the north and south, as far as the cinema is concerned, he is glad that "Pushpa" brought people to theaters across India and was celebrated by the entire country.## The actor will now start the shooting of the second part of Pushpa, titled Pushpa - The Rule. The shoot of the movie will start after Diwali and it will release in later 2023. ## Icon StAAr @alluarjun receives #IndianOfTheYear award, the first south Indian actor to do so.
