Pawan Kalyan's 'Kushi' Re-Release Date Confirmed

Hyderabad, December 19 - A new year treat is awaiting the fans of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan as his classic blockbuster Kushi is gearing up for a re-release in theaters.## Directed by S. J. Suryah, "Kushi", which also starred Bhumika Chawla as the female lead, will be re-released on the evening of the new year 2023 (31st December) in India and overseas on a record number of screens in the 4K remastered version.## It was reported that some promotional content for Pawan Kalyan's upcoming period action drama film "Hari Hara Veera Mallu" will also be added to "Kushi" as both films are produced by AM Ratnam. The movie was originally released in 2021 and was a blockbuster at the box office.## The movie is a remake of Suryah's Tamil-language film of the same name and is considered one of the most iconic movies in Pawan Kalyan's filmography. RC17: Ram Charan To Team Up With Sita Ramam Director Hanu Raghavapudi?

Since the release of "RRR", Ram Charan has been picking films that appeal at the Pan India level. ## Ram Charan is currently working on director Shankar's political action thriller film, tentatively titled RC15. The shoot of the movie is underway at a rapid pace. RRR Becomes The Highest-Grossing Indian Film In Japan, Beats Rajinikanth's 'Muthu'

Tokyo, December 13 - Superstar Rajinikanth's "Muthu's" long-standing box office record has finally been broken as SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR has become the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan. ## "RRR", starring Jr. NTR, and Ram Charan has completed its 8th week at the Japan box office and has grossed ¥410 million (Rs. 24.88 crores) with 271K footfalls so far, which is also the highest for an Indian film. It has outdone Rajinikanth's "Muthu's" which had grossed ¥400 million in 1998. ## The SS Rajamouli-directed "RRR" was released in Japan in October this year and scored the biggest opening weekend for an Indian movie there. Though the numbers of "RRR" weren't as high as the makers had predicted it maintain a steady run throughout and finally topped "Muthu's" record to become the new number one Indian grosser in Japan. ## "RRR" is looking to go past ¥500 million and it was originally predicated to have this number. The movie has found appreciation wherever it has been released so far and Japan is the latest market in that list. Ram Charan Stresses On Not Doing A Lot of Remakes

Hyderabad, November 30 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan is not keen on doing a lot of remakes as he thinks that due to OTT platforms, the recall value of remakes has dropped. It has been seen in the recent box office performances where except for a couple of movies, remakes have failed badly across languages.## Ram Charan, who is currently shooting for director Shankar's political thriller film, recently produced "Godfather", starring Chiranjeevi. It was the remake of Mohanlal's Malayalam movie "Lucifer". The movie did decent business of little over 100 crores worldwide but that is mainly because of the star power of Chiranjeevi. ## "Godfather" was expected to do very well but because its dubbed version is already available on OTT, the movie couldn't give rich rewards to the makers. Ram Charan said during a recent interview that he is not keen on doing remakes and if he does, he would make sure that the original movie is not available in dubbed versions.## "I'm not sure I'd continue doing a lot of remakes. If I did a remake, I'd probably ask the original's producer not to release it on OTT. I might do a remake under those conditions. Adivi Sesh's 'Hit 2' Pre-Release Business Details And Break-Even Target

Hyderabad, November 27 - Adivi Sesh's crime thriller Hit: The Second Case, which is the sequel to 2020's "Hit" movie, is one week away from its release in theaters. The trailer of the movie was recently launched and it received an anonymously positive response from the audience. ## Adivi Sesh's box office market has widened since after his last film Major, which was a big blockbuster. Tollywood Producers Failed To Follow Their Own Rules Regarding OTT Release

Hyderabad, November 14 - The OTT platforms have been on the rise since the covid-19 pandemic and they have also caused threats to the theatrical biz, especially the low and medium-budgeted films. To save small films, the Tollywood film industry recently announced some rules regarding post-theatrical OTT releases.## The Tollywood producers decided in August this year that all producers must hold their theatrical movies for at least weeks before releasing them on digital platforms. It was a welcome move from the producers' council and was lauded by the filmmakers. ## Despite the big promises, it seems the Telugu producers have forgotten their own rules regarding OTT releases, making a mockery of the so-called unity in the Producers council. Since the rule has come into effect, there have many films that haven't followed the 6-week rule. ## Movies like Swathi Muthyam and Ori Devuda were released on OTT within 3 weeks. Nagarjuna Akkineni's "The Ghost" too didn't follow the rule and was available to stream on the digital platform within 4 weeks. Telugu Producers Council Asks Producer Dil Raju To Not Prioritise Tamil Movie In Telugu States

Hyderabad, November 13 - Thalapathy Vijay's family action drama film Varisu/Vaarasudu is unlikely to get a big release in Telugu states despite the film being directed by senior and one of the biggest Telugu producers Dil Raju. ## "Varisu" is a Tamil movie that will also release in Telugu as "Vaarasudu". It is directed by Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally.
