Chennai, April 14 - Tamil star Suriya's fantasy action drama Kanguva is one of the most-anticipated films of the year. Directed by Siva, the movie marks Bollywood actor Bobby Deol and actress Disha Patani's debut in Tamil cinema. ## Kanguva has been in production for a couple of years and the fans are waiting for its release. There were rumours that the movie might pushed to next year but now, the makers have officially confirmed that it will be released in 2024. The exact date, however, is not announced yet. ## On Sunday (April 14), makers released a new poster featuring Suriya's two avatars. Chennai, April 11 - Thalapathy Vijay's science fiction action film The Greatest of All Time - GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu, has confirmed September 2024 release date in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. ## On the occasion of Eid, Thursday (April 11), the makers announced the much-awaited release of GOAT and confirmed its arrival on September 5 during Ganesh Chaturthi week. The movie will be released on Thursday to enjoy a long 4-day weekend at the box office. ## The film is produced by AGS Entertainment, marking its second collaboration with Vijay after the blockbuster Bigil (2019). Chennai, April 7 - Tamil superstar Rajinikanth teamed up with Jai Bhim director T. J. Gnanavel for an action drama film, titled Vettaiyan, produced by Lyca Productions. ## Vettaiyan is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year and the makers have locked the October 2024 release date in multiple languages. While the exact date is not revealed yet, reports say that the film will hit big screens on October 31st on the occasion of Diwali. ## The film boasts a solid star cast which also includes legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and Ritika Singh, among others. Chennai, January 12 - Tamil star Dhanush's long-awaited period action drama Captain Miller has been released in theatres today to take the advantage of Pongal holidays. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the movie did well on its opening day despite competition. ## According to early estimates, Captain Miller scored around 8 crores net in the original Tamil version. The dubbed Hindi version minted an estimated 50 lakh while the Kannada version scored just 5 lakh for all India 8.50+ crores net (10 crores gross) opening. The initial word of mouth seems to be positive which should come into play over the festive weekend. ## Another Tamil release of the day, Sivakarthikeyan's sci-fi Ayalaan scored an estimated 4 crores net (4.75 crores gross) collection on its opening day.
