Director Shankar Reveals Plans For His Next Films After 'Indian 2' And 'Game Changer'
Mumbai, July 4 - Maverick filmmaker S. Shankar is currently busy with the promotional activities of vigilante action film Indian 2 which reunites him with legendary Kamal Haasan after Indian (1996). The movie will be released in two parts with Indian 2 scheduled to hit screens on July 12. ## After Indian 2 release, Shankar will wrap Ram Charan-fronted political action drama Game Changer which has been in production for a long time. It is likely to be released around Diwali this year. Now, the filmmaker has shared some ideas that he has been working on and will focus on them after the current assignments. ## During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, director Shankar revealed that he has been working on a couple of films, including sci-fi, a historical and spy action thriller. "I have 2-3 ideas - one is a historical film, and the other is like a James Bond film - not exactly James Bond, but I'm using the term for categorization. Also, there's a science fiction idea, similar to 2012". ## The filmmaker, however, admitted that all the aforementioned films he is working on are high-budget projects and would demand a lot of VFX. "So definitely those films will bring the technology that it demands. I will go through all the new technology that it requires and I will use that", he added.## Meanwhile, Shankar's last directorial flick was sci-fi actioner, 2.0, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the leading roles.
