Chennai, August 29 - Veteran Telugu star Nagarjuna Akkineni has officially confirmed on board superstar Rajinikanth's action drama Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The announcement was made on the occasion of the actor's 65th birthday, on August 29. ## Nagarjuna will play the character named Simon as the makers unveiled his first-look poster. No other details have been revealed yet. Earlier yesterday, the makers introduced Soubin Shahir as Dayal. 'Indian 2' Makers Lend In Legal Trouble Over The Film's OTT Release

Chennai, August 29 - Legendary Kamal Haasan and director Shankar reunited for the sequel to their 1997 Indian and released it on the big screen in July this year after years of production delays. Indian 2, produced by Lyca Production, however, failed to create any magic at the box office and ended up as a disaster.## After the no-show at the box office, Indian 2 premiered on the digital platform on August 12, 4 weeks after the theatrical release. Shockingly, the Hindi version of the movie also started streaming in less than 6 weeks after its release and this has put the makers in legal trouble. ## According to the report in Pinkvilla, the Multiplex Association of India has sent a legal notice to the team of Indian 2 for flouting the OTT rules. It is known to everyone that films released in Hindi will have to follow a strict 8-week OTT window, and the ones who don't obey the guidelines, won't get a release in the top 3 national multiplex chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis. ## The report suggests that the makers of Indian 2 had agreed to the guidelines to release the Hindi version, Hindustani 2 in multiplexes, which means, the dubbed version was supposed to be available on OTT on September 6 but MAI was shocked to know that it is already available on Netflix, much before the set window.## The Multiplex Association wants to give a stern message to all the producers to follow the 8-week window and in this process, the organization has sent a legal notice to the Indian 2 team. Chennai, August 27 - Recently, it was reported that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan would be teaming up with Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj after the filmmaker's Coolie with superstar Rajinikanth. Now, a new buzz has surfaced regarding the duo's collaboration. ## According to the latest Tamil media reports, Aamir Khan would be playing a cameo role in Coolie which is currently in production. Chennai, August 17 - Tamil star Dhanush's action thriller Raayan is all set to premiere digitally after the record-breaking box office performance. The movie is written, directed, and stars Dhanush in the leading role alongside Sundeep Kishan, Selvaraghavan, Kalidas Jayaram, and Dushara Vijayan, among others.## Released on July 26, the A-rated blockbuster is the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2024 so far with a worldwide box office collection of around 152 crores gross. Mumbai, August 8 - Thalapathy Vijay's highly-anticipated sci-fi action thriller The Greatest of All-Time will be released by Zee Studios in North India.
