Mumbai, January 24 - A couple of days after the reports of Bollywood power couple, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt along with Vicky Kaushal teaming up with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the star filmmaker has officially confirmed that the development.## The official announcement of the film was made on January 24 with the title Love and War. It is a love story set against the backdrop of war, believed to be loosely based on Raj Kapoor's 1964 classic, "Sangam". The movie marks the reunion of Kapoor and Bhansali who previously collaborated "Saawariya" which was the former's debut as a lead hero. ## Alia Bhatt also reuniting with SLB after the "Gangubai Kathiawadi" in 2022. Both Ranbir and Alia starred together in director Ayaan Mukerji's "Brahmastra Part 1 - Shiva". For Vicky Kaushal, "Love & War" marks his maiden film with Bhansali and Alia while a reunion with Ranbir after "Sanju". ## The film will be produced by SLB's Bhansali Productions and the shoot for the same is expected to commence in November this year. The movie has been scheduled to release on Christmas 2025, which means it will have a clash with James Cameron's sci-fi epic "Avatar 3". Mumbai, January 24 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter was supposed to be a frontloaded starter at the box office but the table seems to have turned since last week with unexpectedly slow response in the bookings. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Fighter" has been one of the most-awaited movies of the year and the recently released trailer also looked like a big-screen spectacle, however, the reality is hinting at a different scenario with the way pre-sales are progressing at the moment. ## The bookings of the film were opened on January 20 and the initial response looked positive but as the release date is getting nearer, the advances have stuck and are progressing at a very slow pace. At one point, it looked like the opening day pre-sales would easily be around 15-20 crores for the opening day, but now, it is expected to finish at around 8 crores. ## The current pre-sales of "Fighter" are around 5.50 crores gross which is underwhelming and the movie needs a massive turnaround to have an opening of around 25 crores. The pre-sales trend has also almost confirmed that "Fighter" won't be a big opener in the range of 40-50 crores. ## The film will need super positive word of mouth, a must for it to work big at the box office. The Republic Day weekend should help the film on some level, but overall, "Fighter" will have to depend on WOM which will make or break its box office prospects. ## It is quite a turnaround for director Siddharth Anand whose "Pathaan" starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan opened with a bang during the same frame in 2023. The movie scored huge pre-sales and went on to create many records at the box office. Mumbai, January 23 - Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone Fighter has failed to get censor approval in Gulf countries. The Siddharth Anand's directorial aerial action flick is scheduled to be released on January 25. ## According to the latest reports, entire Gulf countries, except for UAE, have banned "Fighter". The film was submitted to the censor on January 10, and on January 23, it was officially communicated that the movie wouldn't be hitting the big screen in the Gulf. However, the film will be released in UAE as scheduled with a PG-15 rating. ## The reason behind the ban has not been revealed yet. Recently, superstar Salman Khan's "Tiger 3" was also banned in Kuwait and Qatar for its theatrical release. It was said that the movie could go on floors by May this year but there seems to be some changes regarding that. ## According to Pinkvilla, the maverick director is in the advanced talks with Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal to headline his next directorial which is a love story about two couples. The report, however, cleared that it is not "Inshallah", which Bhansali hoped to make with Shah Rukh Khan, but things didn't work out. ## SLB's next is a pure love story set in modern times and Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky are likely to headline it. Both Ranbir and Alia heard the narration and are excited to come on board as the lead pair. Alia has already signed the film while Ranbir too is expected to follow the same soon. Vicky, on the other hand, loved the subject and is figuring out his dates before officially coming on board.## The love story revolves around the lives of two couples and SLB is in talks with a top actress to play the female lead and it's expected to be locked in the next 15 days. Mumbai, January 21 - Superstar Aamir Khan is all set to start his next film in February this year. The actor was last seen in "Lal Singh Chaddha" (2022) which failed badly at the box office. After taking a break from acting for some time, Aamir confirmed his next film last year. ## During the media interaction, the Dangal star confirmed that his next film is titled Sitaare Zameen Par, to be directed by RS Prasanna. The pre-production on the same has been going on for some time now, and according to Pinkvilla, the film will go on floors on February 2. ## "He (Aamir Khan) has finally zeroed down on his look for the film and has done several reading sessions with the ensemble cast. It's going to be a marathon schedule for Sitaare Zameen Par and the actor has allotted 70 to 80 working days on the film. With a lot of time invested in pre-production, this would be among the fastest films that Aamir would deliver to the audience", says the report. ## Actress Genelia D'Souza will reportedly play the female lead role in "Sitaare Zameen Par" which will be produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The movie was announced to be released during the Christmas 2024 weekend. ## Meanwhile, Aamir Khan's production venture, "Lahore 1947", starring Sunny Deol and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi is also getting ready to go on floors on February 12. Mumbai, January 20 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's A-rated action drama Animal, after debuting on December 1, 2023, proved to be one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time, grossing over 900 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Animal is currently in its 8th week and its theatrical run coming close to an end. The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film were bagged by Netflix, and as per the latest reports, Animal will be released on January 26 on the streamer in Hindi along with the dubbed versions of Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil languages. ## As reported earlier, Animal is expected to stream on Netflix with an extended runtime of around 3 hours and 30 minutes, which is 8-9 minutes extra from its theatrical runtime. Mumbai, January 19 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan's aerial action drama Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand, has been rated U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification. Also starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, the film is scheduled to release on January 25. ## Fighter was censored on January 19 with an approved theatrical runtime of 166 minutes (2 hours and 46 minutes). It marks Hrithik and Siddharth Anand's third film together after Bang Bang and War while this is the first time Hrithik and Deepika have come together. ## The official plot of the film reads, "With the militant activities growing out of control along the Line of Control, Air Headquarters decides to form a special unit called Air Dragons at the Air Force base in Srinagar. Mumbai, January 19 - Sunny Deol as Tara Singh will be returning for the third round after Zee Studios reportedly green-lit the threequel to the mega-blockbuster period action drama franchise, Gadar. It all began in 2021 when Sunny Deol and director Anil Sharma teamed up for "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha" which went on to become the biggest Indian blockbuster of that time. ## 22 years later, the team of Gadar reunited for its sequel, "Gadar 2: The Katha Continues" and scripted history with it. The movie went on to gross close to 700 crores at the worldwide box office and became one of the biggest blockbusters of all time. The mega success of Gadar 2 ensured that there would be the third film in the series and it is happening. ## Though it was already reported that director Anil Sharma trying the crack the idea Gadar 3, and according to Pinkvilla, the filmmaker has finally locked the basic idea and Zee Studios has green-lit the same. It is said that the first round of paperwork has been done between Zee Studios, Anil Sharma, and Sunny Deol. ## The franchise has been set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak conflict and Gadar 3 will follow the same though the stakes will be higher than before. "A lot of writing will happen to develop the idea, but the team has got the direction of where the story of Tara Singh, Sakina, and Jeete heads from here on", the report says. ## Director Anil Sharma has himself confirmed the development and said that he would start working on the Gadar 3 script after completing his upcoming film featuring his son Utkarsh Sharma and Nana Patekar. The film is expected to go on floors in the second half of 2025. ## Sunny Deol, meanwhile, recently concluded the shooting for his next titled "Safar". Mumbai, January 17 - Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has reportedly put his musical Baiju Bawra, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, on hold for the time being. It was supposed to be his next directorial film for the big screen after Alia Bhatt's "Gangubai Kathiawadi" (2022). ## According to a report by Pinkvilla, "Baiju Bawra" wouldn't be the immediate next for the maverick filmmaker, and the same has been conveyed to all the talents who were supposed to work on the film. Both Ranveer and Alia had allotted bulk dates for the movie but both of them will now be shifting their focus to other projects. ## The report stated that SLB is planning to take his next directorial venture on floors by May/June 2024. SLB's next is said to be a very ambitious story close to his heart and will be the talk of the town once the official announcement is made though the exact details about the casting and other aspects are revealed yet. ## Meanwhile, the report further said that SLB is looking to revive "Inshallah" to explore a light-hearted romantic comedy, and is reportedly in talks with superstar Shah Rukh Khan to bring him on board for the same. Mumbai, January 16 - In February 2022, Sony Pictures India in association with Mukesh Khanna's Bheeshm International announced the big screen adaptation of Khanna-led iconic superhero TV show Shaktimaan. The makes also released the concept video and announced that it would be made into a trilogy. ## However, after making the grand announcement, there hasn't been a concrete development on the same, except for reports that Ranveer Singh is on board to headline the project with Malayalam actor and filmmaker Basil Joseph to direct it.## Since there was not much happening around this ambitious film, it was recently reported that the makers have shelved it due to its high budget which is said to be over 500 crores. The report claimed that Sony was not ready to invest such a huge amount in the film at the moment but might revisit it in the future with a reduced budget. ## But it seems there was no truth about the aforementioned development as General Manager & Head, Sony Pictures International Productions, India, Lada Guruden Singh has refuted the reports and confirmed that the movie is very much on. The timeline of shooting details is not revealed yet but it is expected to go on floors later this year.## ## Ranveer Singh, meanwhile, is currently shooting for director Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn's "Singham Again", in which he plays an extended cameo as Simmba.
