Some of them were saying it would now release in Summer 2024 but now all rumours are rested, as Salaar is going to release on 22nd December 2023 on the weekend of Christmas. ## It has been learned that exhibitors all across the country have received an email from the "Salaar" distributors about 22nd December 2023 as the new release date of the movie. The official announcement of the new release date will be made on September 29th, according to veteran trade expert, Taran Adarsh.## Now, The problem with this release date is that superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is flying high with two back-to-back 1000 crore grossers, and Raj Kumar Hirani's "Dunki" is also releasing on December 22nd. "Dunki" is an exceptional movie for Indian cinema as it brings two of the most powerful forces of cinema for the first time. ## Earlier, due to no announcement in months, there were rumours that Dunki would not be released on Christmas but in a recent press conference, Shah Rukh Khan confirmed that Dunki is on scheduled to release on this date only. Apart from these two movies, DC Studios superhero movie "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" is also slated to hit Indian cinemas during the same week on December 20.## So this is going to be the biggest clash ever in the history of Indian cinema as both Indian movies have the most prominent names and are hugely anticipated. Mumbai, Thursday, 7th Sep 2023: Megastar Shah Rukh Khan's movie Jawan was released today at the Janmashtami festival and started with excellent occupancy all over India, be it southern states or northern states. ## Jawan morning occupancy is 46.11% in Hindi 2D, 39.48% in Tamil, 61.95% in Hindi IMAX, 62.73% in Telugu, and 39.26% in Hindi 4DX format. This kind of morning occupancy in the Hindi market is considered excellent. ## Jawan collected 10.18 Cr gross collection from 4360 Hindi 2D shows and 1.82 Cr gross from other Hindi formats like IMAX,4DX and other languages. So it earned a total of 12 Cr gross from morning tracked shows which becomes 10.10 Cr Net (Double digit). ## In last month's release, Gadar 2 collected 7.06 Cr gross from 2581 shows on Independence Day. This clearly shows that Jawan is a much wider release than Gadar 2 and it will have much more collections from Gadar 2's Independence Day which is 55.40 Cr Net. ## Jawan will take the highest opening net collection in the Hindi language with a good margin as it targets 60+ Cr Hindi net day and reviews are good so it has a chance to score more than 500 Cr Net collection. The period action drama movie has shattered some of the initial records and is now eyeing the ultimate record of the biggest Bollywood grosser of all time.## Meanwhile, the Sunny Deol-led movie has become the first-ever Bollywood movie to score 30+ crores for 6 consecutive days. Salman Khan-fronted "Sultan" was the first Bollywood movie ever to do these numbers for five straight days.## Gadar 2 scored 40.10 crores on the first day, followed by 43.08 crores on the second day, 51.70 crores on the third day, 38.70 crores on the fourth day, and 55.4 crores on the fifth day. Now, on its sixth day, it scored 32.37 crores in India's net which makes it the first Bollywood movie ever to do so.## Earlier, there were only two movies to score 30 crores plus net collection for consecutive 5 days. Apart from "Sultan", Shah Rukh Khan's all-time blockbuster "Pathaan" also collected 30+ crores for five straight days. This is the first time Katrina and Vijay are coming together on the silver screen. ## On Monday (July 17), the makers shared the first-look posters which have piqued audiences' interest. The cool-looking posters give the major vintage vibes with an intriguing tagline on the poster reads, "Raat jitni sageen hogi, subah utni rageen hogi".## The movie has been confirmed to release on December 15 this year, clashing with Sidharth Malhotra's "Yodha".
